Biggie’s Crown sells big at Sotheby’s Hip Hop Auction

The plastic topper worn by Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace in his last photo shoot sold for $594,750 during an auction Tuesday night — despite only costing $6 back when Biggie picked it up back in 1997.

The crown was one of many precious items from hip hops OG founders.  These amazing Jackets worn but Salt n Pepa in the “Push It” video.   Which sold for $23,940.

A Johnny Nelson gold “Ladies First” 4 finger ring featuring Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Lady of Rage, and Roxanne Shante. The amazing ring (made in 2020) went for $22,000.

Slick Ricks multi colored bedazzled eye patch was a shocker to me.  $25,200!!

FAB 5 FREDDY’S LEGENDARY GOLD AND DIAMOND “MTV” RING, ca 1988. This is legend, so I wasn’t shocked at the final price of $35,280!

[QUESTLOVE] 60’S ERA 5-PIECE DRUM KIT AS USED LIVE AND IN STUDIO BY AHMIR “QUESTLOVE” THOMPSON went for $30,240.
