First look at the new The Munsters!

Rob Zombie was the obvious choice to bring back the wonderful Munster family and invite us all into their home at 1313 Mockingbird Lane.   Now we’re getting a little preview.

The rocker shared some pics on this insta, including a shot of the cast (Jeff Daniels as Herman, Sherri Moon as Lily and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa) sitting in front of the famous set.

In the past Rob has also shared insight into the costume design of the film, teasing sketches of what Lily and Herman Munster wear to bed. While the costume designer has not yet been revealed, the detailed look included a description of Herman’s nightgown, complete with skull buttons, while spiderweb embroidery finishes Lily’s floor-length robe. Zombie wrote, “What do Herman and Lily wear to bed? Perhaps something like this! Check out some wardrobe designs by our amazing costume designers.”

So excited!!!

First off, if you haven’t seen the Mel Brooks comedy classic “History of the World Part 1,” you should start there.  It’s probably aged a little bit, but it’s the Citizen Kane of comedies.

Now we get word that Hulu is finally letting a 95 year old Mel Brooks make his loooooong awaited sequel 40 years later.

Brooks will write and co-executive produce a sequel series to his 1981 film.  The show, billed as a variety series, has received an eight-episode order from Hulu, with Nick Kroll, Wanda Sykes, Ike Barinholtz, David Stassen and Kevin Salter slated to executive produce and write alongside Brooks.

I’m THRILLED. Stay close on this one. You’re going to want to be in on this when it drops.

No dates were announced.

Here’s the trailer.

Sean Penn’s wife of 1 year files for divorce

Relationships aren’t Sean Penn’s strong point.  Despite having had a ton of high profile ones.

Australian actress Leila George has filed for divorce from husband Sean after just one year of wedded bliss.

The two were married last year in a tiny ceremony at home.  Sean told Seth Meyers “We did a COVID wedding. By that I mean it was a county commissioner on Zoom and we were at the house, my two children and her brother. And we did it that way.”

But friends say it was doomed from the start because after initially breaking up, Sean won Leila back by making the big gesture and that the two were just not ready.

Penn split from Charlize Theron in June 2015. He was previously married to Robin Wright from 1996 to 2010, and Madonna from 1985 to 1989.

The actor has two children from his marriage to Wright: daughter Dylan, 28, and Hopper.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker get engaged

Hyper love put up a W this weekend because Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker took their tongues out of one another’s mouths long enough to propose and accept the promise of marriage.

TMZ was first to break the news that Travis popped the question at a beachside hotel in Montecito.  Kourtney, of course, shared pics of the moment on IG.

Roses covered the beach in a heart shape with massive candles flickering in the wind.

When Kourt posted the news and pics her bestie Addison Rae was first to respond with a “IM SCREAMING”!

Aidy Bryant inks new deal with Universal

If you can believe it, this month Aidy Bryant began her TENTH season on SNL.  Had you asked me to guess I would have said sixth.

So she seems pretty valuable to the company and that usually translates to a pretty good deal at contract time.

“Aidy has been a beloved member of our NBCUniversal family for many years,” said Jim Donnelly, EVP Comedy Development at UTV. “Audiences have not only been entertained by her for nine seasons on SNL but also delighted in her writing and performing across all sorts of TV and film projects. Aidy is a colorful storyteller and brilliant producer who brings a fresh take to everything she does, and UTV is happy to welcome Aidy and her creative lens to this exciting partnership.”

This wont be her first foray into other projects.  She co-created, starred in, wrote, directed and exec produced Hulu’s Shrill, which recently ended after its third season.

No word on exactly what she’ll be creating, but you can be assured it will be full of laughs and have Lorne Michaels fingerprints all over it!

George Takei teases William Shatner’s trip to space

There’s been a number of people who have spoken about against the recent space race among billionaires.

Prince William scolded the billionaires for wasting their money on such things.  Shouldn’t they really spend their money staffing 70 bedroom castles and developing special herses with Land Rover?

But George Takei, who played Sulu on Star Trek along side Shatners Captain Kirk, has always had a beef with Shatner.  George claims Shatner was a womanizing asshole who treated him and everyone else as if they were beneath him.

Now he’s dissing the old man for his ride to space.  “He’s a guinea pig, 90 years old and it’s important to find out what happens,” Takei, 84, added.

“So 90 years old is going to show a great deal more on the wear and tear on the human body, so he’ll be a good specimen to study,” Takei continued. “Although he’s not the fittest specimen of 90 years old, so he’ll be a specimen that’s unfit!”  Ouch. Meow.

Believe me, there’s no love loss between the two who have been very vocal about one another over the years.  Personally, I’m team George, but in this case he sounds… dare I say a little jealous?
