Lupe Fiasco Kicked Off Stage At Pre-Inauguration Party

While most people were talking about Michelle Obama’s bangs her red Jason Wu gown, a few people were more interested in this major party planning fail.

The decision to hire rapper Lupe Fiasco for the pre-inauguration party thrown by Hypervocal is being questioned as has always been vocal about his concern for Obama’s foreign policy. The start-up company had him removed from the stage and then slammed him on twitter for his negative performance. Later they backtracked and said they didn’t pull the plug on him for slamming the President, as we are all entitled to free speech…but rather for his sucky show in general.

Rapper Lupe Fiasco was ushered off stage Sunday after a 30-minute politically charged performance at a pre-inauguration party.

The socially-conscious lyricist took the opportunity to bash the President’s foreign policy in a song that had partygoers confused, since it was supposed to be an Obama celebration event.

“Limbaugh is a racist, Glenn Beck is a racist, Gaza strip was getting bombed, and Obama didn’t say sh–,” he sang.

The party, hosted by start-up group Hypervocal, featured Fiasco as the headliner. Early Monday, Hypervocal’s Twitter page read, “Disappointed that an artist took opportunity to use an event celebrating innovation/startups to make a political statement.”
