NBC reportedly eyeing ‘The Office’ revival

According to TV Line, NBC is considering revisiting “The Office” in the 2018-2019 season. The series would be a continuation of the previous one, which went off the air in 2013. Sources claim “The Office” revival would feature a mix of old and new cast members, though it’s not clear which original stars will be returning to the show. TV Line reported that Steve Carell, who played Dunder Mifflin, Scranton, Pa., office’s regional manager Michael Scott for seven of nine seasons, will not appear. NBC executives are reportedly hard at work looking for his replacement. The network declined to comment on reports that a “The Office” revival is in the works. Bob Greenblatt, the network president, told reporters a month before the premiere of the “Will & Grace” reboot that “The Office” was on his wishlist for future reboots, along with “30 Rock.” The post NBC reportedly eyeing ‘The Office’ revival appeared first on Today's Evil Beet Gossip.

‘Broad City’ Star Abbi Jacobson Buys Silver Lake Mid-Century

New York City-based comedian, writer and actress Abbi Jacobson, co-creator, writer, producer and star, with Ilana Glazer, of the acclaimed Comedy Central series “Broad City,” splashed out almost $1.6 million for a renovated and restored 1950s modern residence in L.A.’s hipster-favored Silver Lake area. Set above the street, where it takes advantage of palm tree-framed views, the just over 2,000-square-foot two-story residence has three bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a separate office space accessible through the three-car garage. The window-lined living room features a massive stone fireplace and has an oblique, over-the-treetops view of the downtown skyline. The dining room has glass sliders to an enormous covered patio and is open over a peninsula snack bar to a center-island kitchen that pairs a restored vintage cooktop with otherwise up-to-date stainless steel appliances and solid-surface countertops on snow-white Shaker-style cabinets. John Stamos and fiancée Caitlin McHugh expecting first child

It’s going to be a fuller house for John Stamos: He and fiancée Caitlin McHugh are expecting their first child. “We have the same morals and the same values, that all clicked nicely. So we said, ‘Oh, well, maybe we should have a family,’” Stamos, 54, told People in an interview released Wednesday. Stamos said McHugh suggested they have a child before tying the knot, and it ended up working out beautifully. “The look on John’s face when I told him we were pregnant was priceless,” she said. “It was the look of a man who has wanted a family of his own but wasn’t sure it was going to happen for him. Now it is!” “The [pregnancy] happened. Then I said, I better have a ring on her finger because it’s the right thing to do, and I wanted to marry her anyway,” he said. “So I called her parents to ask, and it was like, ‘You better!’” The television veteran isn’t too worried about the pressures of fatherhood. “I’ll be a fun dad,” he said. “I’ve been practicing for a long time. I’ve done every schtick you can do with a baby on TV … all the bits and jokes and diaper gags. I’ll probably just do all that stuff.” The post John Stamos and fiancée Caitlin McHugh expecting first child appeared first on Today's Evil Beet Gossip.

Clooney Gifts Close Pals $1 Million each

George Clooney didn’t forget the people who helped him become one of today’s biggest stars. The famous actor reportedly gifted each of his closest guy friends $1 million each, according to his longtime friend Rande Gerber. “There’s a group of guys we call ‘The Boys.’ George had called me and ‘The Boys’ and said, ‘Hey, mark September 27th, 2013, on your calendar. Everyone’s going to come to my house for dinner,” Gerber said on MSNBC’s “Headliners” show, according to Us Weekly. When “The Boys” arrived for dinner that night — they found a black designer luggage bag set on the table at each guest’s spot, according to Gerber. “George begins to say, ‘Listen, I want you guys to know how much you’ve meant to me and how much you mean in my life,” he recalled. “‘I came to L.A., I slept on your couch. I’m so fortunate in my life to have all of you and I couldn’t be where I am today without all of you. So, it was really important to me that while we’re still all here together, that I give back. SO I want you all to open your suitcases.’” In each suitcase was a whopping $1 million each paid out in $20 bills, which Clooney even paid the taxes on. “I know we’ve all been through some hard times, some of you are still going through it. You don’t have to worry about your kids, you don’t have to worry about, you know, school, you don’t have to worry about paying your mortgage,” Gerber remembered Clooney saying when realizing their amazement. Gerber, a wealthy businessman who is a partner in Clooney’s Casamigos Tequila brand, explained that some of “The Boys” weren’t doing so well at the time, living paycheck to paycheck — one worked in a Texas bar and another was riding his bike to work. Steve Harvey is sued for ‘defrauding charity

Steve Harvey is being sued by someone who claims he was defrauded millions of dollars from the TV mogul. Vincent Dimmock claims he was hired by Harvey to raise $20million for the Steve and Marjorie Foundation in exchange for 12.5 percent of whatever he brought in, according to TMZ. Dimmock claims that he got pledges for $20million in donations from high-level executives, A-list entertainers and political figures such as a former President. But when Dimmock delivered the first million, he claims Harvey refused to pay him his commission, according to the lawsuit. He says Harvey never intended to pay him for the work in the first place. In total Harvey would have owed Dimmock $2.7million. Dimmock also claims he introduced Harvey to an investor in May, and says that during the meeting he disparaged women and took aim at celebrities for his financial issues. He claims Harvey blamed his financial troubles on Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry for giving him bad advice.
