Desperate to help any way that they can, Lamar Odom’s family staged an intervention in New York City Friday night, according to reports. Suffice it to say, this did not go over well. In response to the former NBA star’s recent troubling behavior, his family decided to step in and try to get him the help he badly needs. A source quoted by Us Weekly confirms that the mediation took place on Friday night with several of Odom’s close family members. Lamar’s longtime partner Liza Morales, the two children she has with Lamar, his aunt JaNean Mercer, and several cousins were involved. Good for them for stepping up, but … it didn’t take. “Lamar was doing really bad and his family was going to stage an intervention on Friday,” the insider tells the celebrity news magazine. According to a separate report from Extra, the retired L.A. Lakers baller “was extremely surprised” by this and quickly “left the location.” Lamar Odom Learns to Walk Sad, since an intervention is desperately needed. Last fall, Odom overdosed and almost died in a Nevada brothel. He was in such rough shape that had to re-learn how to walk and speak (above). You’d think that would straighten him out. No. A drunk Odom was kicked off a flight from LAX to NYC earlier this month after he reportedly got so hammered that he vomited on the plane. Witnesses say the 36-year-old stopped at a bar in Santa Monica prior to heading to LAX, where he “got really angry and started getting drunk.” “It’s really sad,” the insider said, watching Odom spiral out of control and further into the abyss. “He was doing so well in his [rehab] programs.” He was? Khloe recently filed to divorce Lamar a second time. Shortly after the plane incident, her mom Kris Jenner said she was surprised by the news. “I don’t know what happened. It was a big surprise to me,” Jenner said. “All I can say is I want the very best for him. He’s like my son.” “He’s a part of my family and I adore him. He’s the greatest guy in the world and anybody that knows him will tell you the same thing.” Odom has recently been spotted at numerous NYC strip clubs, having been kicked out of Khloe’s rental house, allegedly for drug use. Harrison Wagner: Jack Wagner Asks Twitter To Help Find His Troubled Son
Sometimes social media can be used as a force for good. Melrose Place’s Jack Wagner, 56, took to Twitter on July 10th in an attempt to locate his 21-year-old son, Harrison. Harrison had been missing five days when Wagner sent out the tweet. “I’m going to ask those who want to share their fears, addictions & struggles to do so w me via Twitter. We can face them 2gether, I’ll start,” Wagner wrote. “I fear for my youngest sons safety. Harrison has struggled w drugs & alcohol just as I did when I was younger. He’s relapsed & is MIA 5 days.” Wagner was inundated with tweets of support, and stories from fans who themselves were struggling with addiction. Whether or not the tweet caught Harrison’s attention, Wagner updated those concerned that he had be able to connect with his son. “Harrisons been in touch, he’s 21 & in charge of his life, ty for the lv & prayers, please continue to share your struggles, it helps us all,” Wagner wrote earlier today. Wagner didn’t stop there. He continued to listen and respond to others’ stories, thanking them for sharing. Judging from the above Instagram, Selma, Arthur and Jason took a long weekend – they were in Cancun last Thursday through Monday. On Monday, Selma and Arthur boarded a plane back to LA. And that’s when everything went haywire. According to witnesses, Selma mixed some medication with wine on the flight, and she began behaving bizarrely. Selma Blair was taken off a Delta flight Monday on a stretcher after losing control … TMZ has learned. Witnesses on a flight from Cancun, Mexico to LAX tell us, Blair was in first class and drinking wine. The witnesses say it appeared she put something in the glass and mixed it in. We’re told she suddenly started crying, “He burns my private parts. He won’t let me eat or drink.” The witnesses say she continued, “He beats me. He’s going to kill me.” We’re told 2 nurses on board came over to help and checked her bags for pills. Our sources say the pilot radioed ahead and told the tower there was a passenger on board who had been mixing alcohol and meds. When the plane landed medical personal boarded the plane and took Blair off on a stretcher. She was taken to a nearby hospital. Not because I want to shrug off those horrific words, it’s just that we’ve all said some crazy sh-t while drunk and/or high. She probably didn’t even know what she was saying, if the medications she mixed with wine were strong enough. People Magazine had more details about this whole incident and beyond too – their sources claim Selma was “happy and healthy” the entire time she was in Cancun, and she got spa treatments while her ex spent time with their son. An official (with the airline, perhaps) confirms that Selma had “taken a combination of prescription medication with alcohol,” but that it was unclear “what sort of prescription medications.” The worst part? Arthur Saint was traveling with his mom! Ugh. This is a bad situation. Also: reportedly, Selma went into rehab back in 2007, although she never discussed it publicly so who knows? Kim Richards made a return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Tuesday night. In a surprise move that should not have come as a surprise to anyone, the troubled reality star stopped by the show’s reunion in order to … well… ramble incoherently for the most part. She acted in denial of any kind of drinking problem and didn’t address her recent arrest or litany of personal/legal issues. So she basically acted like Kim Richards. But while Kim made a few appearances on the series that made her famous this season, she is still not a full-time cast member. Might this change in the future? It’s very possible, seeing as people watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online or on television just to see the drama that Kim brings along with her. However, if Kim Richards does return to full-time cast member status in 2017, her sister will not be joining her. Allegedly. According to a Life & Style insider, “Kyle put her foot down” when it comes to Kim getting rehired. She has supposedly threatened to quit the reality program is Kim is brought back. “She’s concerned the fame and publicity will derail Kim all over again,” the tabloid writes. That certainly does seem plausible. Kim, who has been in and out of rehab and was arrested for shoplifting in 2015, “has finally managed to get sober and take control of her life, but she’s still very vulnerable,” the source adds. Tyler Baltierra & Daughter Visit Catelynn Lowell in Rehab
Last week, Teen Mom star Catelynn Lowell checked into rehab in order to receive treatment for a number of emotional issues. In the days prior to her departure, there were rumors that Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra were headed for divorce, as both newlyweds posted cryptic and troubling social media messages hinting at trouble in the home. Fortunately, Tyler put those fears to rest over the weekend when he tweeted about bringing daughter Nova to visit Catelynn for the Easter holiday. “On a flight to go see Cate & Nova first choked on a cracker, then puked up the cracker all over me & then pooped, all within a half hour!” he tweeted on Saturday. Catelynn has spoken openly about her past struggles with postpartum depression, and though she didn’t go into detail about her latest bout, she has confirmed that she’ll be in treatment for the next several weeks. In the meantime, Tyler seems to be holding things down at home. According to his social media pages, he spent the weekend completing a renovation project and catching Batman v Superman with friends. The location of Catelynn’s treatment facility is unknown, but it seems Tyler and Nova will spend the next few days at a nearby hotel.
