Gisele Bundchen’s Body Transformation: Then & Now

At high request, here is a Gisele Bundchen before after comparison – on the left, Gisele and her trademark thin and fit figure back in 2014 and on the right, a much curvier Gisele posing in an electric blue swimsuit with mega cleavage earlier this week. Playing around between shots, the 36-year-old Brazilian model did a shoot with famous photographer Mario Testino in Rio this week, both in swimwear and bright outfits. Chrissy Teigen on Posing in Bikinis: “That’s how I feel the most uncomfortable”

On never feeling like a bombshell and not believing she had a womanly figure: I always felt like a bit of a tomboy, and I never looked at my body as particularly sexual — I wasn’t a curvy girl. On how she looks totally different and curvier now, after having a baby: But to be able to see my body afterwards, and of course you get, like, hips. Finally, for the first time, I feel like I have a bit more of a womanly figure … I think you just feel really feminine. On how she’s most uncomfortable when modeling bikinis: ‘I’d much rather shoot completely naked than in a swimsuit. It’s just always been my thing. I’ve never been much of a beach girl. I grew up in Washington — it’s freezing in that ocean. So it’s out of my comfort zone, and it’s the craziest thing that I’m probably most known for Sports Illustrated, when that’s how I feel the most uncomfortable.’ (…)Read the rest of Chrissy Teigen on Posing in Bikinis: “That’s how I feel the most uncomfortable” (0 words) © Versus for Skinny VS Curvy, 2016. | Permalink | 5 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: bikini, model, womanly figure The post Chrissy Teigen on Posing in Bikinis: “That’s how I feel the most uncomfortable” appeared first on Skinny VS Curvy.

Gigi Hadid Was ‘Not Thin Enough, Not Tall Enough’ for Tommy Hilfiger

In the past year and a half, Gigi Hadid has lost a significant amount of weight, fact which we’ve documented in our previous posts. Turns out that around one and a half year ago, Gigi was considered too short (she is 5’10” / 179 cm) and too fat to model anything else than an oversized poncho for Tommy Hilfiger. Here are more details from People: Gigi Hadid seems to have it all: more magazine covers than any other model this year, every major catwalk under her belt, a standing invitation to walk the Victoria’s Secret runway and pose for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, a killer squad of fellow models, a cute boyfriend who lets her wear his shoes … we could go on. She’s even moved into the role of muse for Tommy Hilfilger, collaborating with him on a clothing line and serving as the face of his fragrance. But things weren’t always so golden for the model and the designer. For Hadid’s first turn down the runway for Hilfiger in February 2015, Hilfiger recalls a casting dilemma. “Our casting director said, ‘She doesn’t really fit because you know she’s not quite as tall as the other girls, she’s not quite as thin. So they put a red, white and blue poncho on her, it covered a lot of her body unfortunately, but it received millions of hits,” he told Yahoo Style’s Joe Zee. “So I said, you know, why don’t we ask her to design a line with us. So I said, Gigi come design this with me, we’ll do a Gigi x Tommy couture line.” Although Gigi was considered too fat to model regular clothes, the brand chose her to rock bikinis: It’s worth noting that, though Hadid was deemed “not quite thin” enough for any non-poncho apparel in February, by September, Hilfiger had her in a crochet bikini leading a cabal of models down a beach-inspired runway. And a few months after that, their clothing collaboration was announced. And though it may serve as small comfort for being publicly poncho-shamed by your design partner, Hilfiger did deliver her a compliment, saying she’s an “All-American girl next door with an exotic twist to her look.” Gigi these days: See more recent pictures of Gigi next! From the Fabulous Over 50 Club: 58 year-old Sharon Stone, who looked great in a two piece swimsuit this week. The blonde actress was spotted by the photographers as she had some fun playing volleyball on the beach in Miami while wearing a red bathing suit and a messy side braid. Remember this (very old) post? Back in 2008, then 62 year-old Helen Mirren broke the internet (more than Kim Kardashian) when she also wore a red bikini to the beach and looked fantastic while doing so. Derek Jeter, 42, married model Hannah Davis, 26, in St. Helena, California

Do people genuinely care about Derek Jeter? Let me ask that another way: besides Yankees fans, do people care about Jeter? Well, in case you care, Jeter is married! The 42-year-old retired Yankee married 26-year-old swimsuit model Hannah Davis this weekend. Yes, I’m still rolling my eyes at the age difference too. Jeter was actually one of New York’s most famous bachelors, and over the years, he romanced everyone from Mariah Carey to Jessica Biel (remember that?) to Minka Kelly. Hannah and Derek had gotten engaged last fall after dating for a few years. Surprisingly, the wedding didn’t take place in New York. Or the Hamptons. It took place in St. Helena, California, at a Napa Valley resort. Hannah wore a custom-made Vera Wang gown and from what I’ve seen, the Daily Mail has the best pics – you can see them here. The gown is sleeveless, with a high lace neck. Not my style, but she looked lovely. Wedding guests included Yankees Jorge Posada, Andruw Jones and Tino Martinez, as well as Jeter’s family and some of Hannah’s modeling buddies. There were less than 100 guests and Hannah had said in past interviews that she was trying to keep the wedding pretty simple. What else? In all of the media coverage of the wedding, people are noting that Hannah bought an Italian Mastiff puppy for Jeter for Christmas. The puppy’s name is Kane. Oh, and all of this time I thought Hannah was from somewhere like Pennsylvania, but she was born and raised in the US Virgin Islands. Sources also tell Page Six that Jeter is “definitely ready to be a dad” and that he and Hannah plan on starting their family quickly. Honeymoon baby? Jessie J: In America, ‘I’m kind of celebrated as one of the greatest singers’

Maybe I’m wrong, but the few times I’ve written about British singer Jessie J, I feel like most people were divided into two camps: Camp “Who?” and Camp “Meh.” It’s not that Jessie is particularly boring, untalented or uneventful – I actually think she’s got a great voice and she’s more interesting than many of the pop starlets today. But Jessie might have overestimated her popularity. Maybe. Jessie covers the new issue of Women’s Health UK, and she tells the magazine – which has a mostly British readership – that she doesn’t get a lot of respect in Britain but she’s “celebrated as one of the greatest singers” in America. Really? Some highlights: She’s received two Brit Awards but she’s never been asked to perform: “It makes me sad… I’ve done the Grammys, the VMAs. My profile in America is that I’m kind of celebrated as one of the greatest singers and I love it.” Her goal: “I wanna be up there with the Celine Dions, the Whitneys, the Beyoncés and Arethas. I go hard because I hope and pray that one day, people look back and go, ‘She could really f–king sing, you know.’ Which is why I keep going.” She wants kids: “I talk about my children every day even though they don’t exist. It sounds really weird, but I do. I put into the universe that I love them…who knows when it’s going to happen?” Turning 28: “The 27 Club and all that. It’s scary. I mean, the most hardcore I get is a glass of ginger wine, but if you’re successful at 27, the speed of your life is unreal. Nearly 30. You need to get your sh-t together.” [From E! News and Women’s Health] Yeah… she’s not going to win a lot of support in her own country with this interview. The thing is, she really does have a great, powerful voice. But I sometimes wonder if she needs to nail down one specific sound. I remember reading something about Jessie’s musical popularity with gay men, and I do think that’s where she should aim: be the next Cher. Killer voice, power ballads, gay-club anthems. Do that. And no, I don’t think America celebrates her as “one of the greatest singers.” Americans hears her music and they think, “Great voice, who sings it?” And then they forget her name as soon as they hear it.
