Chrissy Teigen & John Legend were rude to three women in a photo booth

Chrissy Teigen covers one of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit editions this year. We didn’t cover it because… I don’t know, it feels like the culture has stopped caring so much about the Swimsuit edition? It used to be a big deal, like Victoria’s Secret runway shows on network television (although those VS shows are reportedly making a comeback too). Plus, I think the choice of Chrissy for a cover is just so basic and unimaginative, besides which, she’s had so much plastic surgery at this point, she can barely move her face. Plus she’s a terrible person.

Anyway, a few days ago, there was an event celebrating all of the SI: Swimsuit edition models. Chrissy attended with John Legend and they were rude to peasants:

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend seemed eager to take a pic at an event last night — but one woman is suggesting they booted her crew early just so they could get their own shots. A new video posted to TikTok seemingly shows the moment that went down at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 60th Anniversary party Thursday in New York City … when a few young ladies stepped up to hit some poses in a photo booth that was being used by everyone.

After a few snaps in the clip, you can see and hear John step in — telling the women he and Chrissy are going to sneak into the booth for a moment of their own … and the girls beat it.

It takes a bit for them to gather everything up … and JL and CT awkwardly stand behind them — patiently waiting for them to grab everything they need so the couple can get their pics. As the girls try to send their own shots to themselves, Chrissy and John look annoyed. Worth noting … there are a couple cuts in the video — so, we don’t actually know how long the group was using the photo booth or if there was a time limit to keep the line moving.

That said … the video definitely makes it look like JL and CT got tired of waiting and decided to hustle their fellow partygoers along so they could get their turn — and while it appears the women might’ve been bent out of shape … it doesn’t really seem like they were all that mad.

[From TMZ]

I’m including the video below – the woman claims that she and her friends waited 30 minutes to get into the photobooth, only for Chrissy and John to interrupt them. Chrissy was probably like “I’m on the cover, I shouldn’t have to wait.” The way John and Chrissy are looking at those women with such elitist annoyance is really something. I mean, I’m predisposed to thinking Chrissy and John are in the wrong, but what was stopping those women from saying “no, get out, we’re not done?”

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen apparently kicked these three women out of a photo booth and then seemed visibly annoyed when they didn’t leave fast enough. ????

John Legend is a Pfizer spokesperson: ‘there’s a lot of misinformation out there’

Embed from Getty Images

John Legend is one of those celebrities who seems to always keep busy. He tours pretty regularly and has been a brand ambassador for several companies over the years, including LG, Sperry, and most recently, Neopets. Remember Neopets?! Apparently, they’re making a comeback. John has always been pretty active in Democratic politics, too. One of Legend’s latest side gigs is as a Pfizer spokesperson to help raise awareness for the most recent Covid-19 booster. In an interview with Yahoo, John spoke a bit about his new gig, including the controversy around vaccines and all of the misinformation that’s out there.

Another way the EGOT winner stays healthy is by getting the latest COVID-19 vaccine. Legend has teamed up with Pfizer ahead of the holiday season to raise awareness about the shot.

“Some people feel like it’s controversial to talk about vaccines,” he says. “To me, it’s just intuitive.”

Legend’s motivation to get vaccinated it simple: “I want to protect my family, and I want to encourage other people to do the same.” That said, he acknowledges that some folks are skeptical.

“There’s a lot of misinformation out there,” Legend notes. “I think a lot of people have a general kind of distrust of the authority, or mandates or the establishment, and I understand that. What I tried to rely on is, I talked to my doctor, not any random person on Facebook. I believe if you listen to the experts, the evidence and the recommendation of the medical community is very clear. And I’d rather listen to them than a random average Joe on the internet.”

[From Yahoo]

I really appreciate what Legend’s trying to do, just like I appreciate what Travis Kelce is trying to do. They’re probably tapping into different crowds. Quite frankly, I think that half of the American population is simply too stubborn, too brainwashed, and too contrarian to get a booster, especially since most companies don’t have mandates anymore. He’s right about the misinformation and the distrust of the establishment. While you can probably reach a certain percentage who are just not paying attention, you have an entire right-wing media ecosystem that’s actively invested in sowing doubt or making people scared, angry, or both over vaccines in general. That misinformation gets propped up through social media. Clears throat. Back in my day, people appreciated the opportunity to get protection against life-threatening diseases.

Recent data shows that only 7% of US adults have gotten the most recent Covid-19 booster. While misinformation plays a big role for half of the voting populace, I think that for the rest of Americans, part of it is probably Covid fatigue, part of it is the change in guidelines that don’t make it an automatic two-week timeout from society if you test positive, and part of it is that a lot of people (like me) got Covid in the fall, and the current CDC guidelines say that if you’re recently gotten it, you can delay a booster by up to 3 months. If you’ve been putting off getting your Covid booster, here is your reminder. We got our flu shots last month, but are finally going to get our boosters on Election Day since my kids are off from school. Covid boosters and voting! It’s going to a morning of public responsibility.

Chrissy Teigen & John Legend named their newborn daughter Esti Maxine

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend welcomed their rainbow baby on January 13th. We didn’t hear much about anything, other than mother and baby were fine. They didn’t do photos at the hospital – or, they didn’t post any hospital photos – and they finally made it home with their newborn baby girl. On Thursday, Chrissy and John posted the same photo on their respective Instagram accounts, and they announced their daughter’s name:

She’s here! Esti Maxine Stephens – the house is bustling and our family could not be happier 💕 Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c section!? We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes – we feel it all! X

[From Chrissy’s IG]

Esti Maxine joins Luna Simone and Miles Theodore. Those names do sort of fit together, they *sound* like siblings. Chrissy and John lost Jack in October 2020 – she waited and grieved and then underwent IVF for Esti Maxine. She was incredibly careful and she was very worried that she would lose this pregnancy too. Chrissy’s not my cup of tea (to put if mildly) but I’m very happy for her and John and I’m relieved that they were able to have a healthy pregnancy and another healthy baby. I like the name Esti too! It’s cute. It already sounds like a nickname.

Chrissy Teigen & John Legend are expecting: ‘Everything is perfect’

In 2020, Chrissy Teigen lost a pregnancy. After conceiving her first two children via IVF, the third pregnancy was a surprise when they conceived naturally. Chrissy and John were so happy and they were keeping their fans updated. Chrissy posted through the loss in real time and the moment became kind of a cultural watershed for women talking about miscarriages and stillbirths, because all too often society wants to keep those conversations out of public view. Well, Chrissy and John are now expecting again. Chrissy posted some bump photos – clad in $520 Gucci underwear – with this message:

the last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again. 1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way. Every appointment I’ve said to myself, “ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce” but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still. I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok phew it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!

[From Chrissy’s IG]

I imagine it was difficult to know when she should announce, especially given her recent history. She appears to be somewhat far into her second trimester. I hope everything is going well, truly. I wonder if she and John did IVF again? My guess would be yes.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s Squid Game party: trolling, tone deaf?

Last week Chrissy Teigen and John Legend had a really professional-looking Squid Game-themed party. A party planning company came in and transformed their mansion, complete with wall adhesives that looked like the Squid Game set, and games and furniture from the show. Red-helmeted guards served food, there was a giant piggy bank with cash and a replica of the bunk beds where people slept before they got murdered in competitions. There was also dalgona candy with safety pins, just like the

Chrissy’s birthday isn’t until November 30th, John’s is late in December and Halloween was of course last month. I’m assuming they scheduled the party last week so that more of their rich and famous friends could come. Chrissy has limited comments on some of her posts about the party but there are still people saying this is an incredibly tone deaf theme. It’s one thing to wear a Squid Game jumpsuit for Halloween. It’s much different to recreate an entire show about desperate people being murdered for the entertainment of the uber wealthy. Here are some of the comments via Buzzfeed:

theafterlifeoftheparty__: Rich people dressing up as characters from Squid Game… way to miss the point of the show. Super tone deaf.

kristinacheeseman: I love this…. But I’m also getting rich white men watching the glass bridge episode vibes

mollyyamill: This is so beyond tone deaf as a millionaire to invite your rich friends over and reenact squid games which is rooted in the violence of capitalism

radradryan: Complete lack of self awareness

[From Instagram via Buzzfeed]

Chrissy dressed as the Red Light Green Light murder doll and John dressed as one of the masked viewers who came in toward the end of the series. This is just an obnoxious theme for super rich people. They would be the people watching Squid Game, and they seem somewhat aware of this in their choice of costumes. Chrissy has shown us, again and again, who she is. John is showing us too in his unwavering support for her and participation in stunts like this.

Chrissy Teigen is fine, she apparently wants to do a big interview with Oprah

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen Celebrate the Elections in West Hollywood, CA

I’m backing away from the Michael Costello-Leona Lewis situation because the back-and-forth could go on for a while. I completely believe he’s terrible and I completely believe Leona’s story, but I can’t keep diving into “he said this to Page Six” and “she’s got a new IG Story,” etc. Especially since the focus should be on Chrissy Teigen and how awful she is. The reason there are still people caping for Chrissy is because she often targeted people who were already disliked or considered worthy of scorn. It’s that simple. That’s how she got away with it for so many years. She was telling people to die or to kill themselves regularly. She was a vicious bully who hurt vulnerable people because she could, because she got off on it. But don’t worry, John Legend says she’s fine:

John Legend did more than put on a brave face to support his wife, Chrissy Teigen … he smiled and claimed she’s doing better than her lengthy apology for bullying made it seem. The singer was out in WeHo Tuesday and seemed to be in great spirits. You can see him sporting a wide grin as he walked up to his car and was incredibly polite when a photog walked up to ask him about Chrissy’s attempts to recover from the trolling scandal.

After exchanging some very quick pleasantries the pap got right to the point … how’s Chrissy doing? John had zero hesitation and answered with a smile … she’s doing great.

[From TMZ]

Is he just putting a happy face on a bad situation or is Chrissy really… unfazed? Both, probably. Judging from her two “me me me me me” apologies, Chrissy loves this attention at some level. She loves being in the center of this entirely self-made disaster. She might even be able to get even more attention from it:

Chrissy Teigen is apparently looking to tap Oprah Winfrey for a Meghan Markle-style sit-down interview in hopes of salvaging her reputation amid a growing number of bullying claims made against the cookbook author, according to a new report.

Teigen, 35, is reportedly “being advised to go into hiding and lay low” in the wake of the public onslaught of criticism centered on her social media behavior aimed at selective celebrities like Courtney Stodden, as well as, alleged bullying and behind-the-scenes mistreatment of fashion designer Michel Costello.

“Chrissy is in talks with Oprah to do a Meghan Markle sit-down type interview and tell her truth,” a source alleged to the “Naughty But Nice” podcast. “Chrissy is a fighter and believes that she is such an excellent communicator that there isn’t a mess she can’t talk her way out of!”

Of Teigen’s reported about-face, the source pressed to the podcast that “every news outlet in the world has contacted Chrissy about getting her first on-camera interview, but Oprah is her first choice.” The insider added, “If Oprah can forgive Chrissy, then so can the nation.”

[From Fox News]

This should show you how seriously Chrissy is taking it – she’s looking to book a tearful performance with Oprah. I hope Oprah refuses to take her calls. Why would anyone want to book Chrissy right now, or ever again? So she can once again make everything about how *she* feels? Again, the only reason Chrissy even issued two apologies is because her bottom line is being affected and sponsors are dropping her. That’s it. She’s still the same a–hole.

John Legend’s friends urge him to dump Chrissy Teigen after her bullying drama

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend arrive at the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at the Wallis Annenbe...

I’ve known that Chrissy Teigen sucks for years. She always got on my last nerve, and her attention-seeking behavior is so ridiculously over-the-top. A few weeks ago, Courtney Stodden revealed that Teigen used to send Stodden direct-messages on social media. Those DMs included stuff like “kill yourself” and other disgusting things. That’s who Teigen is, and that’s who she’s always been. Teigen gave a narcissistic apology after Stodden’s interview, and Chrissy has watched her career go down the toilet ever since. Suddenly, none of Teigen’s corporate sponsors want anything to do with her. VRBO quietly took down most of her ads with John Legend. And according to In Touch Weekly, her marriage has taken a bit hit too.

Chrissy Teigen’s celeb friends, including Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Meghan Markle, are distancing themselves from her, says a source. “This scandal could end up destroying her career and some friendships.”

But Chrissy is paying an even higher price: her marriage to John Legend is suffering. “He’s upset about what’s happening to his wife and he’s trying to be there for her, but he’s also so disappointed,” the source said. “This is not the woman he fell in love with and married. And now, John’s friends who never liked Chrissy are pushing him to dump her.”

John wasn’t aware of the extent of Chrissy’s behavior, the source claims. “She showed him one side of herself only – never this dark, ugly side – so he was blindsided.” When she apologized to him, adds the source, her words echoed what she said in her apology tweet to fans. But the damage is done.

“Friends are already whispering that this could be the end of their fairy-tale marriage,” says the source. Teigen “would be completely devastated if she lost John. Not only does she love him with all her heart, but he’s a big part of why she’s so popular and successful…. There would be $150 million at stake” if they divorce.

[From In Touch Weekly, print edition]

When they first got together, I used to think less of him because he wanted to be with a woman like Chrissy, someone who was such an annoying famewhore. But everyone else was like “oh no, they’re the perfect couple, everything is amazing!” No. While I do think that Chrissy tried to only show Legend one cultivated side to herself, let’s be completely honest here. Legend saw a lot of what Chrissy did and said online. He saw her attention-seeking behavior, her narcissism and her bullying. And he was fine with it. Which makes me think that maybe their marriage is okay. They both believe they can weather this storm and come back and be the perfect couple again.
