Big Backlash Over Kendall and Kylie’s “Disrespectful” Rap Tees

Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s new vintage T-shirts have not been well-received. The sisters introduced a line of “Rap vs. Rock” tees as part of their latest Kendall + Kylie collection drop, which have been called out by many on Twitter as insensitive. The “rap” shirts feature photos of the late Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac with “K.K.” initials printed over top. One even features Kendall’s face screen printed over a photo of Biggie. And his mom, Voletta Wallace, is not happy. Wallace took to Instagram to share her disappointment in the tops, specifically that the sisters used her son’s likeness without permission form his estate. “I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this,” she captioned a photo on Instagram, adding, “The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me.  I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt.  This is disrespectful , disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!!!” I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this.  The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me.  I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt.  This is disrespectful , disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!!! Tupac Movie Gets Release Date!

One icon, several years of embattled production, a revolving door of planned release dates, and two teaser trailers later, the long-delayed Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez On Me has landed a distributor. Lionsgate and Morgan Creek Entertainment announced Tuesday the film will hit theaters nationwide on June 16 — what would have been the late rapper’s 46th birthday — via the former’s Summit Entertainment label. Starring newcomer Demetrius Shipp, Jr. in the lead role, All Eyez On Me — a title lifted from Shakur’s fourth studio album, released seven months before his death in 1996 — charts the life and legacy of the hip-hop legend, including his work as an actor, poet and activist, as well as his “prolific, controversial time at Death Row Records” and eventual incarceration, according to a press release. Across his abbreviated career, Shakur sold more than 75 million records worldwide, including the No. 1-charting singles “California Love” and “How Do U Want It.” He is set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 7. Apparently These Were Tupac’s Dying Words

Tupac Shakur was shot on September 7, 1996, in Las Vegas. He died 6 days later. No one knows who shot him, though people have their suspicions (and some believe he’s still alive, God bless them.) Well now apparently we have the rapper’s dying words, from an officer who was at the scene of the crime. His name is Chris Carroll. Here’s his story from Vegas Seven, via Madam Noire: So I’m looking at Tupac, and he’s trying to yell back at Suge, and I’m asking him, ‘Who shot you? What happened? Who did it?’ And he was just kind of ignoring me. He was making eye contact with me here and there, but he’s trying to yell at Suge. And I kept asking over and over, ‘Who did this? Who shot you?’ And he basically kept ignoring me. And then I saw in his face, in his movements, all of a sudden in the snap of a finger, he changed. And he went from struggling to speak, being noncooperative, to an ‘I’m at peace’ type of thing. Just like that. He went from fighting to ‘I can’t do it.’ And when he made that transition, he looked at me, and he’s looking right in my eyes. And that’s when I looked at him and said one more time, ‘Who shot you?’ He looked at me and he took a breath to get the words out, and he opened his mouth, and I thought I was actually going to get some cooperation. So what were Tupac’s last words? And then the words came out: ‘F-ck you.’ After that, he started gurgling and slipping out of consciousness. At that point, an ambulance showed up, and he went into unconsciousness. Well, there we go. Not what I would have chosen, but I hope to God I am never in that scenario. In May of 2013, Tupac’s former bodyguard was found dead. What would your last words be, if you could choose? Let’s get morbid. And who do YOU blame for Tupac’s death? Follow us on Twitter | Facebook
