Brad Pitt and Apple want to convince the public that F1 is an unqualified hit. Most of the industry insiders and trade papers are happy to play along, but if you read closely, you’ll see that F1 hasn’t even broken even yet, considering its bloated production costs (anywhere between $200-300 million) and its reported $100 million marketing cost. Still, ever since F1 was declared a “hit,” Pitt has been trying to parlay the smoke-and-mirrors “success.” Parlay it how, you might ask? A normal actor would use the success to sign on to more projects with better scripts, perhaps do an awards-bait project with a critically acclaimed director. Not Brad. No, he’s been on the warpath following his F1 promotion, attacking Angelina Jolie from different angles in multiple outlets.

Last week, multiple outlets got the exclusive that Pitt is “demanding” Angelina’s private messages to an executive at the Stoli Group, all part of his multi-year lawsuit against Angelina for selling her half of Chateau Miraval. The winery lawsuit goes to trial next year, and Pitt’s camp is still screaming that Angelina sold her biggest asset to punish him (and not because she didn’t want to be legally and financially tied to an abusive alcoholic dilettante who was pissing away her investment). The Daily Mail got a lengthy briefing from Team Pitt about all of this a few days ago, where Team Pitt claims that Angelina sold Nouvel because she was “vindictive” about how he got “joint custody.” This is false – he paid off a judge to get the ruling he wanted, and the California Supreme Court overturned the ruling. That happened months before Jolie sold her stake in Miraval. She also wrote Pitt a letter explaining why she was selling and kept him informed at every turn of her decision-making (he’s still playing dumb and claiming that she blind-sided him with the sale). Team Pitt also returned to one of their favorite dumb talking points: that he’s suing Angelina so that their kids can have Miraval one day! Speaking of:

Brad Pitt is ready to reconcile with his twins. The “F1” star is “desperate” for “one final shot to get together” with Knox and Vivienne “and make amends,” according to a new report.

A source told the Daily Mail on Friday that the Oscar winner, 61, “knows the chance … is remote to say the least” that the 16-year-olds will want to spend time with him ahead of their birthday on Saturday.”

The insider noted that the “devastated” actor “got the message loud and clear” when his and ex-wife Angelina Jolie’s youngest daughter dropped Pitt from her last name in a 2024 Playbill. However, her brother keeping “Jolie-Pitt as his surname” has allegedly given the Emmy winner a “glimmer of hope.”

We hear from a source close to the matter that Pitt doesn’t speak about his kids out of respect for their privacy — but that any parent cares about their relationship with their children. Daily Mail also reported Thursday that the “family man” still considers the twins and their siblings — Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, and Shiloh, 19 — “very important to his life” and wants them “all back in the fold.”

A second source claimed, “He will always believe and always hope there is a chance to be back with all of them, and he doesn’t want to think otherwise. He doesn’t want to give up, he’s not that kind of guy, he’s not that kind of father. He is a proud father, and he would be happy to have them see that eventually.”

However, Pitt wants his kids to “make the move because he has tried over and over again to get back in their good graces.” As for his dynamic with Jolie, 50, Pitt has reportedly accepted that they will always be “at odds.”

“Pitt wants his kids to ‘make the move because he has tried over and over again to get back in their good graces.’” Spoken like a pure dogsh-t father. “Yes, I abused you and terrorized you when you were minor children, but now it’s up to you to do the heavy lifting of reconciliation.” One of the best things Angelina did for those kids is give them agency and fight for their rights. She wanted them to be able to decide what kind of relationship, if any, they have with Brad. All of them except Knox (apparently) have decided they want nothing to do with him. They’ve also made it pretty clear that they want nothing to do with Miraval, so he’s going to need a different excuse for why his alcoholic ass is fighting so hard to hold on to a winery.

During Brad Pitt’s F1 promotion, Team Pitt wouldn’t shut up about how Brad is so happy/relieved to be done with the neverending divorce from Angelina Jolie. She filed for divorce in the fall of 2016 – the divorce was finalized in December 2024. We were supposed to believe that Brad is finally done waging his abusive campaign against Jolie, that he’s “moved on” and no longer focused on all things Angelina. Team Pitt didn’t want to remind people that he’s still suing Angelina over her lawful sale of her half of Chateau Miraval.

Last year, Pitt scored a (pyrrhic) victory when the court ordered Angelina to turn over her records of all of the NDAs she’s asked people to sign over the years. That was in response to Angelina’s argument that Pitt wanted to attach an NDA to the sale of Nouvel, an NDA which would effectively silence Angelina about Pitt’s emotional, financial and physical abuse. Angelina has also sought extensive records from Pitt’s communications, including comms between Pitt and his crisis management team. Well, now Pitt wants Angelina’s communications with someone involved in the Stoli Group.

Brad Pitt is demanding private communications from ex-wife Angelina Jolie in a new filing relating to their legal battle over Château Miraval. On June 30, the F1 star, 61, filed court documents obtained by PEOPLE revealing his attempts to depose Alexey Oliynik, who works for Stoli Group. Pitt claimed that Oliynik had firsthand knowledge of Jolie’s 2021 sale of the French winery the former couple co-owned to Tenute del Mondo, the wine division of the Stoli Group.

In February 2022, Pitt filed a lawsuit alleging that Jolie, 50, made the sale despite a prior agreement that neither would do so unless the other person approved. The Maria star responded to Pitt’s filing with a countersuit in September 2022, claiming he’s been “waging a vindictive war against” her since she filed for divorce in 2016.

Per Pitt’s new document filed in the Superior Court of California, Oliynik has refused to turn over relevant documents or appear for a deposition, arguing that he could not be forced to do so as a resident of Switzerland.

“These requests go directly to key allegations about Pitt’s objections to the sale,” the Oscar winner’s legal team writes in his filing, and “easily meet the standard for discoverability given Pitt’s allegations that Jolie acted with malice in selling to Stoli, a counterparty she knew Pitt opposed.”

Jolie’s legal team has said in court documents that Pitt refused to buy her out of the winery business because she didn’t want to sign a non-disclosure agreement “designed to force her silence about his abuse and cover-up,” referring to a private jet flight in 2016 in which Pitt was allegedly verbally and physically abusive with his family. (The actor-producer was not charged by authorities after investigations and Jolie declined to press charges at the time.)

In May 2024, a judge ruled that Jolie must produce eight years’ worth of non-disclosure agreements in an attempt to illustrate that the Girl, Interrupted Oscar winner herself used the kind of NDAs that she objected to signing in 2021.

Following the news of the former couple’s settlement, a source close to Jolie told PEOPLE that she hopes Pitt can now “move on,” citing the winery lawsuit: “Sadly, until he drops his lawsuit, this family will not have the peace and healing they so very much desire and deserve.”

Brad’s lawyers went to court in California and demanded that a Swiss native be forced into turning over documents and sit for a deposition, all to prove that…. Angelina sold Nouvel to the Stoli Group in 2021. With this entire case, I’ve felt like I’m taking crazy pills, because Pitt’s whole lawsuit boils down to “I’m mad that she sold Nouvel, she promised she wouldn’t and NO, I don’t have that promise in writing!” Good lord. Anyway, I find it interesting that this latest thing is coming weeks after F1’s promotional tour. It’s back to regularly scheduled programming for Team Pitt, meaning “obsessing over all things Angelina.”

The Venice Film Festival won’t announce their in-competition line-up for another month, but Variety made a list of films they believe will get their premieres in Venice. One of those films? Alice Winocour’s Couture, which filmed in Paris late last year, and which stars Angelina Jolie. I’d love to see Jolie go back-to-back in Venice in consecutive years – when she was in Venice last year, Italians were going crazy for her!

Anyway, in other Jolie news, she was in New York last week. I am not aware of any paparazzi photos of Jolie out and about in NYC, and Page Six says that she was seen at a grocery store and that’s it. Angelina has been in-and-out of New York a lot in the past two years. She produced The Outsiders on Broadway and won a damn Tony Award, and she’s making “Atelier Jolie” into a thing – it’s part artist’s residency, part couturier, part art gallery and there’s also a cafe in there too. At least one of her kids has moved to New York, and currently lives in the apartment she bought back in the 1990s. Basically, she has every reason to be in NYC all the time. But Brad Pitt got his panties in a twist about it. First, Page Six pointed out that Jolie was in town last week, despite no photographers seeing her.

This town is big enough for the two of them, it turns out. Page Six hears that in a rare confluence, thermonuclear exes Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are both in New York right now. But we’re told that they’re having very different Big Apple experiences. While Pitt is dining out with A-listers and supermodels, Page Six spies spotted Jolie shopping for groceries alone on the Upper West Side — or at least, the help spotted her.

“My nanny and daughter saw her at the Fairway,” said one well-to-do mom of Jolie.


(They even outsource their celebrity spying.) It seems likely that the actress was picking up a few things for her kids, at least one of whom is apparently living in her old place in the famed Ansonia building in the tony neighborhood. Jolie — who’s owned the place since 1997 and lived there during her own wild youth — told the New York Times in March that one of her sons is now in residence, and that her other children use it as “a crash pad.”

Meanwhile, insiders tell us that Pitt has been staying at the paparazzi-friendly Whitby Hotel in Midtown while promoting his new race car movie “F1.”

Again, Brad already left New York, and he was only in town for like four or five days for his film promotion. He barely comes to New York, while Angelina is there all the time. She wasn’t bothering him, and it sounds like he was SO MAD that she was in town too. How mad? Well, his people sent this to NewsNation:

Hollywood was holding its breath as both Brad Pitt and his irritable ex, Angelina Jolie, were roaming Manhattan this week. Pitt was staying at the Whitby Hotel in midtown with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, to promote his new movie “F1” while Angelina was… just here.

”Angelina said she was going to move to New York two years ago, but didn’t quite get the glowing reception she thought she deserved, so she went back to LA,” my Hollywood insider said.

Jolie opened her Atelier Jolie in the West Village in 2023. Initially, it was said to be a fashion concept store with a coffee shop, but after suffering slow to no sales, she turned it into a “creative space and gallery”. An expensive venture as, according to the WSJ Magazine, “The 6,600-square-foot space was advertised at $60,000 per month for a minimum 10-year lease,” which would make Jolie fork over 720,000 a year or $7.2 million for the lifetime of the lease.

“It’s just insane that Angelina would show up in the city the same week of Brad’s premiere,” my insider added. “She just can’t stand for him to get any good press. It’s like she’s haunting him.”

As I reported last week, a friend of Pitt’s sighed to me: “It’s all bull—-, and to be expected. Anytime Brad has a major project out or is in the news for something good, all these stories get ‘leaked’ that try to damage him. It’s insane. We all know where these stories come from. Angelina can’t stand it when Brad does well.”

I’m sorry, they claim that SHE is haunting HIM? When no one even knew she was in town until Brad threw a tantrum about it? And how did he know? Even more than that, she’s such a regular in New York, she can go into grocery stores and just live her life and New Yorkers respect her privacy.

When Angelina Jolie was promoting Maria for several months last year, there was a steady stream of American and British tabloid reporting about “poor Brad Pitt doesn’t have a relationship with his kids” and “Angelina can’t move on from Brad” and “Angelina is so mean for selling her half of Miraval.” It was obviously Brad and his team acting up because Angelina had awards-season buzz. I still partially blame Brad’s antics for Angelina getting snubbed for SAG and Oscar nominations. Well, Brad is on a promotional tour for F1, his $300-million Big Boy Goes Vroom Vroom movie. In the past week, there have been stories about how Brad considers his relationship with Pax “unfixable” and how he blames Angelina for 21-year-old Pax going to the Chateau Marmont to party. Instead of chalking this up to Brad’s promotional modus operandi, it looks like Team Pitt is trying something different: projection. Yes, according to Pitt sources, Angelina is the one leaking sh-t about Brad. O RLY?

Out of the blue it seems, there’s been a lot of Brad Pitt stories — how he thinks his relationship with his two eldest adopted boys is “unfixable” and he has “cut them off,” or how his kids have (all but the youngest boy) changed names from Jolie-Pitt to just Jolie, and can’t stand him.

But, as a friend of Pitt’s sighed to me: “It’s all bull—-, and to be expected. Anytime Brad has a major project out or is in the news for something good, all these stories get ‘leaked’ that try to damage him. It’s insane. We all know where these stories come from. Angelina can’t stand it when Brad does well.”

As for his kids? The friend said, “He will never cut them off. If anyone blew their legacy, it would be Angelina. Chateau Miraval was supposed to be for the kids — their legacy. Angelina sold her half for cash. Brad still has his half, and it is to be left for the children. All of them.”

The Chateau Miraval battle is epic. While Jolie and Pitt have technically been divorced for several years, it was only earlier this year that they finalized financial arrangements — although only the twins, Knox and Vivienne are under 18 now, Pitt is still said to be footing education bills and more for the entire brood.

Meanwhile, Pitt is happily ensconced with his longtime love, Ines deRamon, who has lived with the actor for over a year and was at his side during the Mexico City premiere of “F1” this week. While his life has settled down, the actor is always concerned about his children — especially his son Pax. “The kid is a mess,” the friend said. “Of course, Brad worries about him, but what can he do? He’s over 18, is partying too hard and doesn’t speak to Brad.”

Pax crashed his Tesla and then had two e-bike crashes in six months — one of which was serious enough for him to be hospitalized. Last month, Pax was caught drunk outside the Chateau Marmont after a wild night of partying where he attended a strip club with friends. A rep for Pitt didn’t return emails.

“We all know where these stories come from. Angelina can’t stand it when Brad does well.” Brad has always, always assumed that Angelina is as obsessed with him as he is with her. He has spent years abusing her and punishing her for daring to leave him, and nine years later, he’s still trying to make it seem like Angelina is lurking behind every corner, looking to harm him. No, motherf–ker, that’s YOU. That’s what you’re doing to HER. Also: I guess Angelina is to blame for all of those hilarious stories about Ines de Ramon’s beck-and-call-girl adventures too. Funny how those stories always pop up when Brad’s promoting something… or Angelina is promoting something.

Brad’s whole “Angelina is the reason my kids hate me” shtick has also lost a lot of juice as the years go by. Vivienne and Knox are the only kids under 18, and reportedly, Vivi has dropped the “Pitt” surname at school. All of the older kids dropped the Pitt surname long ago, and Shiloh even legally changed her name on her 18th birthday. Brad wants to point to Pax having some “wild child” years (and even then, Pax seems like a regular 21-year-old, albeit kind of a terrible driver) as proof positive that Angelina has ruined the kids. But what about Zahara, a college senior & activist who despises Brad? And what about Shiloh and Maddox, who also want nothing to do with Brad?
