Child support Custody battles Elon Musk Grimes

Grimes sues Elon Musk over parental rights to their three children

We really don’t know much about the Elon Musk/Grimes situation other than they have three kids together and that two were born via surrogacy. Their second child, a daughter nicknamed Y, was born around the same time that Neurolink exec Shivon Zilis gave birth to another set of Elno’s (not a typo!) twins. From what we can gather via social media, the first time Grimes (government name: Claire Boucher) saw Zilis’ twins was when biographer Walter Isaacson shared pictures of them. This prompted her to post publicly, “Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer. I have never even been allowed to see a photo of these children until this moment, despite the situation utterly ripping my family apart.”

YIKES. Eventually, Grimes and Zilis had some girl talk over the phone and decided to let their kids grow up together. You’d think all was well in paradise, no? Well, apparently not! It looks like the Elon Musk/Grimes stuff may get messier. In light of Grimes’ allegations that she wasn’t allowed to see at least one of her children with Space Karen, she filed a “petition to establish parental relationship” against him in a California court last week.

Elon Musk is being sued by ex Grimes over parental rights of their three children.

Grimes filed a “petition to establish parental relationship” on Sept. 29 in a California court, according to court records obtained by Page Six on Tuesday.

The request asks the court to identify the legal parents of a child when they are not married.

The billionaire, 52, and “Oblivion” singer, 35, are parents of three children. Their first son, X Æ A-Xii, arrived in May 2020. In December 2021, they quietly welcomed daughter Exa Dark Sideræl via surrogate.

It was only confirmed in September that the pair secretly had a third child, a boy named Techno Mechanicus, whom they call Tau. The news was revealed in journalist Walter Isaacson’s “Elon Musk” biography.

[From NY Post]

I did a little bit of research and learned that a “petition to establish parental relationship” is a common legal procedure for couples who are not married. It’s a first step in deciding important issues such as custodial rights and child support. (Family lawyers or paralegals, feel free to weigh in here.) The court filings are private, so we don’t know all of the details, but I’m guessing that Grimes is currently still in her “I’ve had enough of Elon’s bulls–t” phase and wants to set up formal custody and child support arrangements to make sure she has a legal right to see her children. I think this is where it’s going to start to get really interesting, especially if Apartheid Clyde continues to play games with letting Grimes see their kids. Disclosure in a custody and (especially) a child support battle could reveal a lot more than either party want us to know.

For my fellow Star Wars nerds out there:

Is it just me or does Thrawn look like a blue Elon Musk?

That’s all I can see when this guy is on screen. A blue Elon. pic.twitter.com/3mOdPvmeT1

Grimes says Elon Musk sent a picture of her mid c-section to family without asking

This may come as a surprise, but guess what? The Elon Musk and Grimes stuff keeps getting grosser and messier. There’s a new Elno biography out by Walter Isaacson and the info that’s leaked out from it has led to gossip messiness. Over the weekend, we learned that at some point, they had a secret third child named Tau (government name: Techno Mechanicus). There was a bunch of drama when Grimes responded to Isaacson’s Tweet with a plea to Elon to let her see her son and to the baby mama of his twins, Shivon Zilis, to unblock her. It’s a bit chaotic, but Buzzfeed has a good breakdown to help you catch up. The general gist of that drama is that Elon sucks. Speaking of, Isaacson’s book includes a passage in which Grimes shares a little anecdote about how Musk grossly violated her privacy while she was giving birth to X.

In a new biography on Musk, writer Walter Isaacson discusses the SpaceX founder’s 11 kids, including his three children with singer Grimes (real name is Claire Boucher).

In a section about the pair’s son X Æ A-Xii, whom they call “X,” Isaacson reveals that Musk, 52, snapped a photo of Grimes, 35, as she was having a C-section and sent it around to their friends and family, including the musician’s father and brothers.

“He was just clueless about why I’d be upset,” Grimes told Isaacson.

[From People]

Of course he was clueless. Apartheid Clyde only cares about privacy when it involves someone Tweeting about his private jet. Why would he stop and think about what a horrible invasion of privacy it is to share a picture of a woman in the middle of her having a C-Section? I don’t have a lot of patience for Grimes, her ignorance, and her shenanigans, but I do feel angry on her behalf in this case. He clearly only sees her as an incubator in his plans to help repopulate the earth.

Also, Elon Musk clearly puts a lot of acid-induced thought into what he names his children, so I think it’s kinda funny that his biography is just called “Elon Musk.” I can think of a bunch of better names, like “Space Karen” or “Phony Stark.”

Hey, I wud prefer to not breathe any more life into this current press cycle but I want to de-escalate the narrative atm.

I spoke with Shivon at length finally, which was long overdue. This wasn’t her fault, plz don’t be angry at her! We respect each other a lot and we’re…

Babies Elon Musk Grimes

Elon Musk and Grimes had a third baby they named Techno Mechanicus

Surprise! And baby makes five… or 11, depending on how you’re counting. I have no idea if they’re back together or not, but at some point, Elon Musk and Grimes (née Claire Boucher) secretly welcomed a third child together. As you probably already know, Musk and Grimes already have son X Æ A-Xii, nicknamed “X” and daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, nicknamed “Y.” After X and Y, you’d think they’d commit to completing the trilogy and go for a name like “Xerxes Xanadu,” nicknamed “Z,” but instead, they opted for the more boring Techno Mechanicus.

Elon Musk and Grimes have welcomed a third baby in secret, a new biography on the Tesla CEO claims. According to The New York Times’ review of Musk’s biography, which was written by journalist Walter Isaason and set to be released on Sept. 12, Musk, 52, and Grimes, 35 — whose real name is Claire Boucher — welcomed a third child, a son named Techno Mechanicus, who also goes by “Tau.”

It is unclear if the Space X founder’s forthcoming biography contains more details about the infant, including when or where he was born.

In a March 2022 Vanity Fair interview revealing Exa Dark’s birth, Grimes admitted that the former couple wanted more babies, telling the outlet, “We’ve always wanted at least three or four.”

[From People]

Over the weekend, Musk seemingly confirmed via Twitter X that the child’s full name is Tau Techno Mechanicus, explaining, “Circumference/Diameter,” (because get it? Tau is the ratio of the circumference to the radius of a circle! Those clever kids.) Space Karen also responded to another post with “τ,” because tau is also the 19th letter of the Greek alphabet. I’m guessing Techno is for the music genre and Google tells me that Mechanicus is from Warhammer 40k: Mechanicus, a video game that takes place on Mars and Mechanicus is the “Cult of the Machine.” Yeah, that checks.

This is Musk’s 11th child in total and if they weren’t going to go with Z, then it also really feels like a missed opportunity to stan “Stranger Things” and go with “Eleven.” Or even complete the Tesla models and go for an “S” or “3/E” name. Ah well, there’s always babies four and five. Also, what’s the over/under on these three growing up and changing their names to very normal ones, like John, Emma, and Joseph?

Grimes: Elon Musk doesn’t hate trans people, he just ‘hates woke culture’

Maybe I’m not “smart” enough to “get” Grimes, but I honestly believe that she’s just one of those people who memorizes random cool/tech phrases and just repeats them in interviews to sound smart. She’s not a moron (Elon Musk is though) but she’s also not as smart as she thinks she is. Grimes covers the latest issue of Wired and the interview is ridiculous. Not as ridiculous as that Vanity Fair cover story, but still mind-numbingly idiotic. In the first half of the interview, she talks about music and how she’s pro-AI, and then the second half of the piece is about her personal life, her two children (X and Y) with Elon Musk, and what she learned from being with Musk. Some highlights:

What she learned from Elon Musk: “I’ve got NDAs. It’s hard to talk about things very explicitly without saying things about other people’s lives who are very private….I learned from him, like, the best internship ever. People don’t like talking about Elon, but it was incredible to be right there watching all that SpaceX stuff happen. That’s a master class in leadership and engineering and makes you understand how rare it is to have a leader of that quality.

Musk holds people to high standards: “I know, the stuff on Twitter doesn’t make it look like that. He didn’t build the culture there. And the cultural fit has obviously been very intense. He holds his people to really high standards. Watching him, I understand how difficult it is to be a great general and do something of that magnitude. Elon has an old-world kind of discipline I really respect. And I think it rubs a lot of people the wrong way. They don’t want to be in that hardcore zone. If you’re not consenting to being in that hardcore zone, I get it. But he’s challenged me a lot. I learned a lot about running my own team and my own life. I’m now way tougher and smarter than I used to be.

What Elon learned from her: “Maybe to have more fun. I try to soften him up, to build family culture. And he steals a lot of my memes.

Whether she worries about her kids’ privilege, being the children of the richest man in the world: “A little bit. I think their life is gonna be pretty intense. Being Elon’s kid is not the same as being anyone’s kid. In my house, at least, I want it to be more of a crazy warehouse situation and a cool art space.

Whether she was disturbed by Elon’s tweets: “I don’t want to talk about this too much. But take the trans thing. After that, we had a big, long conversation. I was like, “I want to dissect why you’re so stressed about this.” Getting to the heart of what Elon says helps me get to the heart of what other people’s issues are, because it’s this über guy situation. And it came down to pretty much every way that you transition can cause fertility issues. I was like, OK, you don’t hate trans people, you hate woke culture. I get that it can be annoying, and you have concerns about the fertility thing. So let’s figure it out, because there’s a lot of fertility tech that could be innovated that would help trans people have kids, which would be great and would solve a lot of problems. He’s just on Twitter, and he’s unhappy with woke people, and the arguments happened.

Whether or not she’s woke: “Probably not. I don’t know what the term means. I think we need to change the discourse. The more people you can convince that this dichotomy is silly, and an out-of-date fight, the better. The root cause of this is people not resolving mental health stuff the right way. And not educating people on screen time where they get hooked on dopamine spikes.

[From Wired]

I’m sorry??? “And it came down to pretty much every way that you transition can cause fertility issues. I was like, OK, you don’t hate trans people, you hate woke culture.” So Elon Musk joined the trans-bashing MAGA cult because he believes (and Grimes believes) that it’s all about “fertility,” and fertility issues in general or specific to transitioning are a “woke culture” issue. My head is spinning with the hurricane of fallacies here. First off: Elon’s need to make everything about procreation is really unsettling. Give a guy an emerald mine and suddenly he’s talking about how it’s every billionaire’s duty to populate the earth and dictate transgender people’s fertility levels. And “I don’t know what the term means”… lmao.

Grimes says her daughter Exa Dark Sideræl goes by ‘Y or Why or ?’ now

A little more than a year ago, Grimes covered Vanity Fair and revealed (accidentally) that she and Elon Musk had welcomed their second child together via surrogacy. The VF interview was so awful, I immediately put it out of my mind, so it took me a second to remember that Grimes has two kids now. Elon Musk has… many children. I don’t even believe we know exactly how many, because remember when we learned that he impregnated a Tesla executive and she had twins? I feel like there are more stories like that. Hey, it’s not like Elon spends any time with any of those kids either. In any case, Elon and Grimes’s two kids have the dumbest f–king names. Their son is X Æ A-12 while their daughter is Exa Dark Sideræl. Only now Exa goes by another name.

Grimes is sharing a new update on her little girl. The singer and mom of two — who shares daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, 15 months, and son X Æ A-12, 2½, with ex Elon Musk — shared new side-by-side photos of her and her toddler on Twitter Thursday.

Both mom and daughter were dressed in red onesies in the photo, with Grimes (born Claire Boucher), 31, sporting green tips at the end of her yellow-blonde hair and the toddler donning a similar look in her little tufts of hair.

“Normally we [don’t] post her for her privacy, but she’s fairly unrecognizable here since shes channeling Goku or smthn,” she tweeted as a follow-up to the photo set.

In another tweet, she commented on her toddler’s name, writing, “She’s Y now, or ‘Why?’ or just ‘?’” calling the name “curiosity, the eternal question, .. and such.” Grimes also acknowledged that the change isn’t official because the “government won’t recognize that.”

[From Yahoo]

Imagine being this white. Imagine doing this to your innocent children. “Y, go out and play with your brother X Æ A-12.” Grimes is convinced that she’s the most hardcore manic pixie dream girl ever and Elon is like “yes, this rules!” I feel so sorry for those kids, my God.

Grimes confirms that she & Elon Musk broke up again after her Vanity Fair interview

Vanity Fair’s cover profile of Grimes for the April issue is overwrought, overwritten and infuriating. Grimes “accidentally” revealed that she and Elon Musk have a second child, a girl, and that they welcomed the baby via surrogacy because Claire’s first pregnancy was so difficult. Grimes also went full Manic Pixie Dream Girl when describing herself and her love for Elon Musk, who wouldn’t even buy a new mattress for her:

“There’s no real word for it,” she begins. “I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time…. We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.” What matters, I offer, is that they’re happy. So are they? “Yeah,” she says. “This is the best it’s ever been…. We just need to be free.” They plan to have more children too. “We’ve always wanted at least three or four.”

[From VF]

Considering that Elon and Grimes already broke up once and yet still organized a surrogate pregnancy together, this should not come as a shock to anyone: Elon and Grimes are over yet again. Grimes waited until VF published the cover story to confirm that she and Elon are over. She also denied being a “capitalist Democrat” and more. From her tweet-thread:

2 clarify a few things; I did this to speak abt my work, not “reveal all” haha. Def held back a lot, contrary 2 headline. & didn’t mean for them 2 find out about my daughter so please respect her privacy as I’d love her to be able to live as private of a life as possible

This is the last time I’ll do any traditional press cuz I’m a pretty private person. Haven’t done press in a long time cuz my personal life is so mad and I think it’s hard to foreground my work but also maybe it’s all intertwined at this point

A bit of fact checking: I am not a capitalist democrat. I don’t ascribe to any political party or economic model that currently exists. I think I was referring to how I am perceived but that is not my actual stance.

Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now, I think Devin wrote that part of the story rly well. Sique – peace out

[From Grimes’s Twitter]

“…But he’s my best friend and the love of my life…” Oh honey, he’s not supporting you or the babies and sooner or later you’re probably going to have to sue him for child support, but sure.

As for Baby Y, we now know the baby girl’s full name. She’s Exa Dark Sideræl. Grimes says she was fighting to name the kid Odysseus, which I probably would have preferred rather than Y/Exa Dark. So now there are two children in the world named Exa Dark Sideræl Musk and X Æ A-Xii Musk. They need to give these babies reasonable nicknames. Ash (the boy) and Lexa (the girl). There, I did it.

Grimes & Elon Musk welcomed their second child, a girl named Y

Some days, I really do feel like I’m taking one for the collective Celebitchy team, including commenters, by wading through some of the most asinine interviews out there. This is one of those days. Vanity Fair’s April cover is Grimes. I was already pretty sure that Claire Boucher (her real name) is a complete a–hole, but this VF piece has convinced me. The big breaking news of this VF piece is that Claire and Elon Musk had a second child together. They used a surrogate, by her account, although I wonder if she means a gestational carrier. Here’s the part about the baby, a girl called “Y.”

Another few minutes pass. Just as I’m about to bring up one of Book 1’s highlights, a soon-to-be-ubiquitous banger called “Sci-Fi” that she cowrote with The Weeknd and his longtime producer Illangelo, I hear it again. This time it’s multiple cries, and it’s unmistakable. I’ve got two kids. That’s a baby. And I can tell by the frozen look on my host’s face that she heard it too. So I brace myself to ask the strangest question of my career: Do you have another baby in your life, Grimes? Her body clenches and she looks away.

“I’m not at liberty to speak on these things,” she begins, and then all in a tumble she says: “Whatever is going on with family stuff, I just feel like kids need to stay out of it, and X is just out there. I mean, I think E is really seeing him as a protégé and bringing him to everything and stuff.… X is out there. His situation is like that. But, yeah, I don’t know.”

She’s rattled, and I’m mortified by even accidentally making a woman—a new mother, no less—feel exposed and vulnerable. I suggest we pause for a moment to discuss the surreal professional ethics at play, which are that I can’t pretend I don’t know she’s got a secret baby with the world’s wealthiest man hiding upstairs. Especially when she invited me here. It’s a calming period that breaks with a sitcom punch line: full-blown infant screams upstairs, followed by the voice of a woman pleading SHH. Now we both start laughing.

Did she really think I wasn’t going to hear a baby?

Grimes just shakes her head. “She’s a little colicky too.” She laughs again and buries her face in her hands. “I don’t know. I don’t know what I was thinking.”

Congratulations to Grimes and Elon Musk on the birth of their second child together! It’s a girl!

[From Vanity Fair]

She goes on to explain how sick she was during her pregnancy with X (X Æ A-XII Musk) and how she thought she was dying when she hemorrhaged during the pregnancy. Still, she and Elon wanted another kid, so they used a surrogate. Grimes doesn’t say what the baby’s full name is, only that the kid is going by Y. As for whether this means that Grimes and Elon are still very much together:

“There’s no real word for it,” she begins. “I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time…. We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.” What matters, I offer, is that they’re happy. So are they? “Yeah,” she says. “This is the best it’s ever been…. We just need to be free.” They plan to have more children too. “We’ve always wanted at least three or four.”

[From Vanity Fair]

She keeps going on and on about music and economics and how she’s gone from being a hardcore, own-nothing socialist to being a capitalist Democrat. She also says that while Elon is the richest man in the world, he’s not lavishing her with gifts or anything, basically. She couldn’t even convince him to buy a new mattress. Ladies, if he’s the richest man in the world and he won’t buy a new mattress for you, that’s a dealbreaker. Do not have two babies with him.
