Chrissy Teigen had buccal fat removal on her face: was that all she did?

Model Chrissy Teigen wearing a Georges Hobeika dress arrives at the 2019 Baby2Baby Gala held at 3Labs on November 9, 2019 in Culver City, Los Angeles, California, United States.

At the end of the day, I kind of think Chrissy Teigen is just a bored, melodramatic trophy wife. Like, she’s not your friend and she’s not inspiring. She’s just a rich a–hole with too much time on her hands. She fills the void in her soul by bullying people, being extra on social media, whining and getting plastic surgery. Even though she’s been nominally “cancelled,” Teigen still posts a ton of sh-t on Instagram. A few days ago, she revealed that she has gotten even more plastic surgery on her face. She got that “buccal fat removal” surgery, and they removed fat from her face. You can see the video below, where she says: “I did that Dr. Diamond buccal fat removal thing here… And since I quit drinking, I’m really seeing the results.” She’s allegedly been off alcohol for fifty days, although I guess we’re not supposed to remember that she claimed to stop drinking several years ago.

My opinion: she had more done than fat removal. I don’t even understand that procedure and I don’t want to understand, so don’t @ me. My guess is that she not only had fat removed, she also had some kind of facelift to make everything look “sharper” and less “lumpy.” I’m not sure I’ve ever seen her jawline look like that. And her forehead definitely looks like it’s been “pulled.”

Tori Spelling looks so much like Kourtney Kardashian now

Tori_S_chair

We know something is going on with Tori Spelling. She’s been hinting for a while that something’s amiss in her marriage with Dean McDermott. But they haven’t released any kind of official statement. Recently, Dean supposedly dropped a clue that the reason they don’t file or announce is because of finances, which is believable because they’ve had trouble with money for a while now. Adding to the speculation about their marriage is the rather dramatic unveiling we got the other day of Tori’s new look. Tori posted a pap shot of herself and her friend Laura Rugetti in matching denim jumpsuits to her Instagram. Tori is the one on the left. Why am I telling you that? You’ll see:

Many people, including myself, were shocked at how much Tori resembled Khloe Kardashian in this photo. I’m terrible with face work so I have no idea what’s been done to achieve this look. It can’t be just makeup. But how much of it is permanent? CB was telling me about this video where Tori’s upper lip does not move when she spoke and she’s right, that thing is anchored in place. So it looks like Botox and fillers. Tori’s eyes look really different to me, but I do think much of that is makeup. Looking at the rest of Tori’s IG, there are a couple of shots where I get whiffs of Khloe. I don’t know if she’s had her boobs redone or found a new miracle bra, but they look amazing. And honestly, I don’t think she looks bad, I’m not harping about that. I was just stunned at how much she ended up looking like Khloe. Was that the intended outcome, did anyone know that would happen? And when you see Khloe Kardashian’s face in the mirror instead of yours, do you just lean into it with a denim jumpsuit and hit up a popular pap spot for lunch?

But I do think this is a breakup makeover. Maybe they can’t make things official but with Dean no longer appearing in any of Tori’s posts, her removing “wife” from her bio and now this full overhaul beauty wise, I think Tori has pulled the plug on her marriage. In which case I hope she’s happy with her new look. My guess is this breakup is draining on both of them in more than one way. So if she needed to do something for herself and decided on some tweaks to make herself feel better, I get it. Lots of folks try something drastic during a breakup. Not quite a face-swap drastic, but I guess whatever gets you through it, right?

In sad news, the family just lost one of their senior dogs they adopted. RIP Arthur Bear.

Marc Jacobs on his facelift: Olive oil is ‘not why your neck is tight’

Designer Marc Jacobs, 58, had a facelift a couple of weeks ago. We know about it because he posted photos of his bandaged face and post-op recovery, tagging his doctor and including the tags #f*ckgravity and #livelovelift. Jacobs has posted more photos since, and I continue to be amazed at how well he’s healed. As I mentioned in the last story, my mom was black and blue for a long time after her facelift. He just looks like he has some minor swelling, which is apparently due to this less invasive type of face lift his doctor invented. In a new interview with Vogue, Marc explained why he was so open about his surgery. He said he wants more transparency around cosmetic procedures. He also called out celebrities who lie about what they’ve had done, saying they set an unrealistic standard.

He doesn’t want to live with shame

I’m 58 years old. I don’t think I look bad for 58 years old. I didn’t feel like I had to do this, but I feel like all of these conversations around aging or around plastic surgery are just like any other conversations to me. The problem comes with the shame around them. And I don’t want to live my life with shame, you know? I find that the way I do that is by being open, transparent, and honest about things. Yes, I’m vain. I find there is no shame in being vain. I find there’s no shame in wanting attention. I find there’s no shame in getting dressed up and showing off a look. You know what I mean? Those are some of the things that give me pleasure. Self-care on every level, whether it’s spiritual self-care or meditation, or whether it’s getting my hair dyed and cut, or spending two hours at JINSoon getting my nails done…those are all part of wellness for me. External and internal wellness are really important. I say the same thing about all of it, which is that the better I feel about myself, the better I’m able to be to others.

On why people have shame around plastic surgery

It all comes down to shame and these old paradigms. When you look at current male and female actors, and they’re expected to look a certain way in order for the audience to see them the way they want to see them, they have to uphold this myth that they are what you see on screen, that they’re not real. Who believes that someone will look the same for 30 years on screen? But there is this kind of standard and we’re very much a product of the world we live in. That’s the part that I find really strange. In a world, especially one where a younger generation is all about transparency, disclosure, and honesty, I don’t see why people have this shame around vanity or keeping up with a certain thing. You know, we all have filters on our phones. We all retouch and filter our pictures. That’s the world we live in. It’s like this thing we do because the audience wants it, but the audience wants it because we do it. So it’s this funny little circle. But the thing that I find disappointing or difficult about that circle is that you could just remove the shame, and be honest and straightforward. It seems so crazy when an actor or public figure denies that they’ve done something. And they say like, ‘Oh, it’s olive oil, I bathe in seltzer.’ It’s like, come on. Like all those things might be true, but they’re not why your neck is tight.

On his choice to get work done

There’s no disgrace in being old or looking old. It’s just a choice to want to look younger. I don’t think there’s any disgrace in that. There will always be products or treatments, and there will always be some people who prefer to use those products or things as a means to achieve the aesthetics that they prefer. It’s like everything now…to start a dialogue is really what it’s about. It’s just funny how many people responded to my posts in that way of like, ‘Thank you for your transparency, your transparency is everything.’ I think you just need to start a conversation, and then maybe that will have a resounding echo that helps people feel less ashamed. I just don’t think there’s shame in being vain.

[From Vogue via People]

You know he’s calling out Jennifer Lopez with the olive oil comment. Maybe she hasn’t done Botox, although I doubt it. I think she’s fudging because she’s surely had other high end dermatological treatments while denying the more popular ones. Kate Beckinsale just claimed she hasn’t had any Botox or work done, which is hard to believe because her face looks completely different. I don’t think celebrities should have to disclose anything if they don’t want to. Just don’t lie about it! Say you’re not comfortable talking about it. It’s understandable that famous people want to shut down speculation but as Jacobs said it’s often obvious. Like Jacobs, Jane Fonda and Susan Sarandon have admitted to the work they’ve had done, which is rare.

It’s also impressive to hear someone say that there’s no shame in vanity or in wanting attention. I’m going to pay more attention to Jacobs now. I bet his face lift will look great once its settled too.

Marc Jacobs got a facelift and documented his recovery and the results

223459181_3977659198968951_5511948910881629322_n

The last few times we talked about designer Marc Jacobs, 58, he was being passive aggressive in 2018 and obnoxious and problematic in 2016. I remember when DListed used to chronicle his sketchy dating life in our early days! Jacobs has been relatively quiet for the last few years at least. He got married a couple of years ago and seems to have mellowed. To Jacobs’ credit, he was one of the designers who refused to dress Melania Trump. He has been open about his negative body image when he was younger. Now he’s had a whole facelift and he’s being open about that too. Jacobs posted photos to Instagram of his face along with the recovery process, which involved sessions in a hyperbaric chamber. People has more on this:

Marc Jacobs…, 58, recently documented his face lift and recovery on Instagram, posting a photo of himself in the New York City office of Dr. Andrew Jacono with his head wrapped in gauze.

“Yesterday. @drjacono #f*ckgravity #livelovelift,” Jacobs wrote in the caption.

He later shared a photo of himself on Friday in an oxygen tank at Hyperbaric Medical Solutions, where he recovered from his surgery. “Getting my oxygen on,” Jacobs wrote, adding the captions: “#doctorsorders #feeltheheal #yesIamokay #he’sgotthatBenjaminButtons #roadtorecovery”

HMS’s website describes hyperbaric oxygen therapy as “an all-natural, non-invasive treatment where a patient simply breathes 100% medical-grade oxygen at an increased atmospheric pressure.” Increasing the body’s oxygen concentration by up to 1,200%, the benefits include body tissue regeneration, fighting infection, and enhancing the body’s natural healing abilities.

[From People]

I’ll be generous, I hope this settles well for him. As I’ve often mentioned, my mom had a facelift and after a few months she looked incredible. Right now Jacobs looks like a Las Vegas magician with a residency at one of the casinos where you can still smoke. My mom’s healing process was really scary though. Her face was black and blue for a while and it was not an easy recovery. How is Jacobs looking bruise free and fine just three days later? I’ve heard good things about hyperbaric oxygen therapy, particularly for wound treatment. It probably helped him heal faster, but I suspect he’s fudging the dates a little. Now I want to get hyperbaric treatment! It’s supposed to be good for general wellness and healing. I definitely don’t want a whole facelift anytime soon though. I would not want to look that different, even temporarily.

Shannen Doherty: it’s hard to relate to female characters with Botox, plastic surgery

Shannen Doherty, 50, recently posted about something that I’ve been thinking about for a while – the fact that it’s sometimes hard to see female characters on film who have obvious Botox and plastic surgery. She posted a makeup free selfie and this caption:

Watching movies tonight and noticed there were few female characters I could relate to. You know, women without fillers, without Botox, without a facelift. Women who embraced their face and all the experience it showed. I have lived. I love that I’ve lived and that my face reflects my life. I survived a lot yes cancer but more than that. I embrace me now. Finally. Done with the perception magazines and Hollywood try to make us in to. I want to see women like me. Women like us.

I’ve been watching 911, I just finished the first season, and Connie Britton, 54, looks completely natural. It makes me feel better about myself, honestly. Angela Bassett is 62 freaking years old and while she’s had a little something, which she freely admits to, she looks realistic for that show and the fact that it’s set in modern day LA. Kate Winslet looked completely the part in Mare of Easttown and it was refreshing. However I don’t mind seeing someone on screen with work done if they’re playing a rich person and it’s set in the last ten to fifteen years. It’s only jarring to me to see obvious facial work when the show is a period piece or the character is supposed to live in a rural area. The story is how I relate to the characters, not their appearance unless it’s inconsistent.

Now I want to know what Shannen was watching! I know she used the plural “movies” but I’m guessing it was one in particular and she’s not going to spill the actress’s name. Perhaps it rhymes with Nicole Kidman. Oh and the first time I remember seeing a movie where the actress looked obviously altered was Julia Roberts in Eat Pray Love. It was especially noticeable on the big screen. There was no way I could relate to that character regardless.

Kelly Osbourne denies she’s had plastic surgery other than ‘a couple of injections’

183488083_806561130290014_2574552209939313565_n

Kelly Osbourne wants to squash rumors that she’s had any plastic surgery. Since Kelly has been on her “I’m Not a Racist” non-apology tour on her mother’s behalf, everyone is getting to see the new Kelly. Kelly lost weight and has been posting photos of her new look on Instagram. Because Kelly looks extremely different people are saying she’s gone under the knife. Kelly wants to set the record straight. In a post on Instagram, Kelly says that besides a few injections, presumably fillers and Botox, she had not had any procedures done on her face. Kelly goes on to say that she wishes people would just be happy for her and that she is always honest about her life. Below are a few more highlights via Female First:

In the video clip, which is captioned “Let’s squash these stupid rumours!!! Can’t you just be happy for me?,” she tells her fans: “Good morning everyone. I’m currently in hair and makeup right now.

“I just want to bring up a topic that you guys are all talking about because I’m always really honest and really upfront about what I’ve done to my body and who I am. And I have not done plastic surgery. I’ve never done anything to my face other than a couple of injections in my lip, in my jaw, and in my forehead. I do not lie, but thank you for the compliment.”

Speaking of her decision to have gastric sleeve surgery, she said: “I got sober. I replaced drugs and alcohol with food, my body metabolised differently. Once I got sober and I gained weight uncontrollably, it was insane.

“People kept telling me, ‘You should do the surgery.’ I was so against it … I thought the surgery was a cop-out and that it was like cheating. That couldn’t be further from the truth. What the surgery did was give me a fighting chance.”

[From Female First]

I can’t believe I am going to say this but I agree with Kelly. As much as I dislike her personality and overall disposition, she’s right, people should just be happy for her. Looking at her before and after pictures you can tell she has had some Botox and fillers, specifically in her lips, cheeks and possibly chin. Maybe a bit of injections on her nose (you can actually create an illusion of a nose job with a nonsurgical rhinoplasty procedure). Most of the changes in her face really can be chalked up to her weight loss. But again, I am just not one to constantly comment on someone’s looks in this way or speculate about their surgeries unless they are looking unwell (in which case I will ask if they are ok). Other than that, it ain’t none of my business. I also don’t like society’s preoccupation with women’s looks in general. Folks want women to look perfect then drag us for having surgeries to live up to those standards. I need society to make up its mind about what is acceptable and then I need it to mind its business. Even if Kelly have had work done, it is her right to decide when and if she wishes to discuss it. I hope to never again have to defend Kelly. I’m gonna go shower because I feel dirty.
