Kylie Kelce: ‘I feel so grateful that we get to welcome Taylor into our family’

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on August 26. Kylie Kelce released a new episode of her podcast, Not Gonna Lie, on August 28. Her guests that week were none other than the band HAIM, the members of which also happen to be good friends with TayTay. Fans eagerly listened, hoping to get details or even a quote about the engagement from Kylie or the Haim sisters, but they got nothing. Then, last week, Kylie released a solo episode (with no guest) and still didn’t say anything about the Engagement Heard ‘Round the World.

Naturally, people were curious as to why Kylie hadn’t said anything about the engagement on NGL. On this week’s episode, she finally broke her silence. While answering fan comments, Kylie set the record straight on a few things. With the HAIM episode, it was simply because they recorded it before the announcement dropped. As for the following episode, Kylie explained that she has no interest in exploiting her personal relationship with her brother-in-law and future SIL. She also reassured listeners that she was happy about the engagement and shared that she is “grateful” to welcome Taylor into the Kelce family.

“I am so incredibly happy for them. We are so excited that they are taking this next step,” Kylie shared.

“The girls are so excited to get another aunt,” she continued, referring to the daughters — Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finn, 4 mos — she shares with husband Jason Kelce. “I am so truly happy for them, and I feel so grateful that we get to welcome Taylor into our family in a more official capacity.”

On her podcast, Kylie shared her thoughts while discussing fan comments about why she hadn’t publicly congratulated the couple on their engagement news up until that point. She noted that she did not need to make a statement, as she had already told them everything she wanted to.

Elsewhere in the episode, Kylie brought up the chatter from fans questioning her lack of a public message congratulating the couple. However, she explained that she felt no need to broadcast it when she had already said it all to them privately.

“You have a relationship personally with them that no one else is involved in because it’s your relationship,” she explained. “And so I don’t need to come out here and make statements when I already talked to them.”

“It’s our private relationship,” she added later on in the podcast. “So that’s my brother-in-law, Travis, and my soon to be sister-in-law, Taylor, and so I don’t need to talk about them all the time.”

[From People]

I never had any doubt that Kylie was happy and excited for TnT, but I’m glad she said something to put a stop to all of the annoying questions. She has publicly commented about their engagement, though. Last week, she told Good Morning America how “excited” she and her three older daughters were. She said it at the end of a bigger segment about how the Philadelphia Eagles’ Autism Foundation invited a young boy with autism onto the field, and of course, that soundbite eclipsed the more important part of her appearance. Kylie knows how this game is played, and wants no part of it. Taylor got so lucky that the Kelce family knows how to tighten ranks. I really do love that for her.

Also this quote from Kylie made me laugh: “I don’t always have to comment on what they’re doing in their lives because I can always text them and talk to them about it.” I love that she casually slipped it in at the very end of her statement. I bet the Kelce family’s group chat is super fun. Oh, to be a fly…

“i can just text them and talk to them about it” is such a flex pic.twitter.com/yjFSMU8xoy

Jason Kelce says he’ll ‘definitely’ get a vasectomy at some point

Kylie and Jason’ Kelce’s youngest daughter, Finnley, just turned five months. When Kylie was pregnant, she lamented about how people kept asking if she and Jason would end up trying again for a boy, warning that the next person who asked her that question would get “dropkicked.” A month or so later, Jason was asked that very question during a guest appearance on The Steam Room podcast. He handled it beautifully, saying that the decision to have more children in general was ultimately up to Kylie. He also revealed that they had talked about him getting a vasectomy.

On Tuesday, Jason showed up on another sports podcast, Bussin’ with the Boys, which is cohosted by NFL stars Taylor Lewan and Will Compton. Towards the end of the interview, Compton praised Kylie’s podcast while Lewan brought up their four daughters and asked if they kept going after their second daughter was born because they were trying for a boy. Jason denied that this was the case and once again shared that he and Kylie have decided that whenever they are done having children, he is “definitely” getting a vasectomy.

While discussing having a household full of girls and whether he wanted a boy, Jason said, “If a boy happened, that would be fun. But I think at the end of the day, I say what my dad always said. I just want… we’re very blessed to have four healthy, like smart, charismatic, amazing children … I would not trade any of that for a second.”

The former Philadelphia Eagles center said that “early on” he and Kylie spoke about the fact that he “wanted three kids.”

“I always felt like Travis [Kelce] and I always wanted like one more sibling. It felt like [that] would’ve been ideal,” he told the hosts.

“Kylie said she wanted five. So we’re at four now, and I think we’ll see. That might be it,” he continued.

Discussing a potential vasectomy, Jason admitted, “We’ve been bringing up the v-word more than ever. So we’ll see if it happens.”

“Once we’re done [having kids] for sure,” he said of undergoing the permanent male sterilization procedure in the future. “I’m definitely getting it done. I think we’re still kind of in that like, are we done or are we just figuring it out?”

[From People]

First of all, I’m glad that Jason is willing to do his part in his and Kylie’s family planning by agreeing to get snipped. We always hear stories about men who think a vasectomy is going to affect their manhood or whatever stupid sh-t the manosphere spreads. Jason seamlessly enters some of these worlds and spits truths like, “My wife is my equal” and ”Having all daughters is great and there is nothing wrong with getting a vasectomy.” I’m always impressed at how open he is about their long-term birth control planning. Let’s normalize men having these conversations.

My big takeaway from Jason’s interview is that he and Kylie aren’t officially done having children yet! They obviously can afford to have more kids, but they have both been very honest about how difficult Kylie’s last pregnancy was. I bet that’s the hold-up. I also swear that Kylie has said in the past that she always wanted four kids. Is Jason bringing up that she “wanted five” new information that I somehow missed? Oh, my crystal ball says that they are totally going to have a fifth daughter and Jason will get that Big V while she is pregnant.

Here’s the section where Jason talks about getting the vasectomy. Just in case it doesn’t cue up, it starts at 3:15:45.

Kylie Kelce to people giving moms unsolicited advice: ‘your input is f’ing irrelevant’

Screenshot of Kylie Kelce on her podcast holding a sleeping newborn baby Finn in the crook of her arm. Kylie is smiling and the baby is yawning with her eyes closed

Kylie Kelce welcomed her fourth daughter, Finnley “Finn” Anne Kelce, on Sunday, March 30. Two days later, she was back at the mic to do a special postpartum episode of her podcast, Not Gonna Lie. At the start of the ep, Kylie acknowledged that recording a podcast two days after giving birth is crazy, but she’d planned on doing so since January because she wanted to wrap up her pregnancy storyline and “show the people” what postpartum looks like. She then joked that it’s “going great.”

As promised in previous episodes, Kylie talks about her birth story (more on that later). She also revived a previous segment called, “The Dos & Don’ts of Talking to Postpartum Women.” While declaring that, ”Your input is f-cking irrelevant,” Kylie urged listeners not to do things like tell a new mom that she looks great or say sh-t like “breastfeeding makes the weight come off quicker!” Most moms, she pointed out, just want to hear that they’re “doing great.” She also reminded people that it’s not cool to ask a new mom if they’re going to have another baby, especially while they’re still at the point of wearing a diaper or (my words) the world’s greatest ice pack. Finally, she had some very strong advice regarding telling a new mom to sleep while the baby is sleeping. Don’t do it!

“Don’t, and I cannot stress this enough, do not tell her to sleep while the baby’s sleeping,” Kylie, who also shares daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, and Bennett, 2, with Jason told listeners. “That is f—— absurd. Do you know what you’re supposed to do when the baby’s sleeping?”

“Watch them sleep, of course … I’m kidding,” she joked. “But really, that is one of the most asinine pieces of advice that people give to new moms. It’s not realistic. When are you supposed to eat or do anything or talk to other human beings or function if you sleep when the baby sleeps?”

“That’s a dumb piece of advice,” the mother of four continued.

Kylie also told listeners that people should not comment on a woman’s appearance when they just gave birth to a baby.

“Please don’t say anything about her weight or her looks in general,” she said. “Chances are she’s probably not sleeping very much and quite frankly her body just built another human.”

Kylie added, “Your input is f—— irrelevant. Any of the input of ‘You haven’t had the baby yet, or when can you exercise again, breastfeeding makes the weight come off quicker.’ “I hope she slaps you clean across the face. Also, like the whole ‘Look great.’ Let’s instead tell her she’s doing great. Because who gives a s— to what we look like right now? Not I.”

Kylie went on to say that people can instead ask new moms how they can help during the postpartum period.

“Do ask if you can do anything to help,” she suggested. “Some examples include bring over some food, offer to babysit the older children, help with anything around the home. I mean anything. Start the dishwasher. Start a load of laundry.”

She added, “Clean out the fridge. Maybe bring over some groceries. Do not bring over treats and sweets for the older children so that they then bounce off the walls and wanna jump across the couch while the mom is holding the newborn. You see what I’m saying? Let’s let’s work smarter, not harder here.”

[From People]

I love that Kylie doesn’t beat around the bush when it comes to telling people not to give their unsolicited opinions. ”Your input is f-cking irrelevant” has kind of been my life motto for the past few years. Most of us have way too much going on at any given time to make space for opinions we don’t want or need. It is funny that the sleep thing irks her so much, though! People told me to do that after my older son was born, but I was too jumpy and had too much mom-guilt to sleep while he slept or even let anyone watch him for an hour so I could rest. If anyone ever wanted my advice about that, it would be to get some sleep however you can. But I also totally get taking some quiet time for yourself because just like sleep, it is precious.

Anyway, Kylie’s birth story! She ended up being induced on March 29 after trying all of the safer old-wives tales, like red raspberry leaf tea, bouncing on the exercise ball, taking a warm bath, stretching, and getting two different massages. While in labor, she got the shakes really badly, took Zofran to help with the nausea, had an epidural, and used Pitocin to speed things along. Finn was born after 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, which explains why they were able to be discharged by Monday. After the birth, Jason, who did not bring an air mattress this time around, cut Finn’s umbilical cord like a pro. There was also further elaboration on Finn’s name, which basically involved them having to pick something for her birth certificate before they were allowed to leave the hospital. Other contenders included included Collette (“Cole”), Georgie (didn’t like the options to derive it from), and Winifred (Freddie). The ep ends with an interview on maternal mental health with therapist Rebecca Fox Starr. I think Kylie and her team did a great job putting together a postpartum episode. I hope Kylie can now enjoy a few weeks off as she adjusts to life as a family of six.

Jason & Kylie Kelce welcomed their fourth daughter, she’s already on their podcasts

Congratulations to Kylie and Jason Kelce! After what probably felt like a lifetime for Kylie, baby girl #4 finally arrived on Sunday, March 30. Finnley Anne Kelce joins big sisters Wyatt, five, Elliotte, three, and Bennett, two. Her nickname will be Finn. Kylie and Jason announced the news in a joint Instagram post on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, a two-day-old Finn made her podcast debut on her daddy and her Uncle Travis’s podcast, New Heights. Today (Thursday), Kylie, showing us once again that she is a badass, got back on the mic to announce that she’d booked a hot newcomer as this week’s guest: Finn! That’s right, Kylie had a kid on Sunday and was back to work to record on Tuesday. Just like New Heights, this week’s Not Gonna Lie pod also introduces us to Finn and shares Kylie’s birth and postpartum story.

Jason Kelce’s emotions are soaring to new heights after welcoming his fourth baby with wife Kylie Kelce. In fact, the Philadelphia Eagles alum couldn’t help but to marvel at his newborn daughter Finnley “Finn” Anne Kelce’s adorable appearance, writing in the comments section of her birth announcement on Instagram April 1, “Does that first photo have a filter on it?”

In the picture, little Finn stared sweetly at the camera while wearing a pink and blue knitted hat, which perfectly matched swaddling blanket that she was wrapped in at the hospital.

Other snapshots posted include one of Finn in a floral onesie, as well as portraits of Kylie and Jason craddling their new baby girl.

“Whoop, there she is!” the couple—who also share daughters Wyatt Elizabeth Kelce, 5, Elliotte Ray Kelce, 3, and Bennett Llewellyn Kelce, 2—wrote in the caption along with her birth date. “3/30/25.”

[From E! Online]

It is crazy that Kylie did a podcast two days after giving birth. Girl, take some time to sleep and heal! On some level, it also doesn’t surprise me, though. Plus, she doesn’t have to leave her house, so I bet that helps too, lol. While I appreciate that she’s sharing her story with women in real time, I hope that Kylie takes a few weeks off for maternity leave. I also understand if she uses the podcast as her excuse to put on make-up, a nice shirt, and talk to grown-ups once a week. Even though she doesn’t need the money, if she’s doing this for mental health, then it’s important.

Anyway, let’s talk about Finn! She is adorable. IMO, she looks like Jason, but a baby’s look changes so much as they grow that she could be Kylie’s spitting image six months from now. I also think Finn is such a cute name! Kylie explains that 24-hours after she was born, they still hadn’t decided on a name. Finn’s name was a contender for Elliotte’s name, which I can relate to. Mr. Rosie and I each made lists of name choices for our younger son, but in the end, the only one we could agree on was the one that was #2 on our list for our older son’s name. Finn may not have gotten the double T treatment like her older sisters did, but it is spelled with two Ns. Given the story behind the name, I wonder if they were originally going to spell it with one N and only added the second one to keep with the theme. Welcome to the world, Finn!

Kylie Kelce to people who say c-sections aren’t childbirth: ‘you can f right off’

Embed from Getty Images

Kylie Kelce is in the final days of her pregnancy with baby girl #4. She starts this week’s episode of her podcast Not Gonna Lie by warning listeners that she could go into labor at any time and jokingly urges the baby to “get out.” Kylie has been very candid about pregnancy and parenthood. Since this week’s ep may very well be the last one she records before giving birth, Kylie decided to talk about one last pregnancy topic: birth plans.

As you know, women have to put up with a lot of sh-t in life, including judgment and unsolicited opinions. This week’s topic came about because Kylie saw women in TikTok comments sharing some of the offensive things they were told after giving birth via c-section. Well, Kylie, who gave birth vaginally the first three times, has some words for anyone out there poo-pooing women for their birth plans, especially if they opt for an epidural or a C-section. That message: GFY.

Kylie Kelce is not mincing words when it comes to critics of other moms’ birth plans. The pregnant mother of three, who is just days away from welcoming her fourth child with husband Jason Kelce, took a minute to get candid on the topic on the Thursday, March 27 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast.

While discussing her own birth plan, which she said included an epidural — “I just want a fat needle in my back,” she said — Kylie, 33, shut down critics of moms who opt for a medicated birth.

“People who dismiss birth with an epidural as being not a true birth experience, I can promise you from the bottom of my heart, I felt every part of labor,” she shared.

She also took a moment to call out those who claim that moms who have C-Sections “did not experience birth.”

“I’m trying to be nice,” Kylie began before adding, “No, never mind. Go f— yourself. You can kindly f— right off.”

She added, “The person you’re speaking to just grew a human being and for whatever reason that little baby needed to come out the front, not the bottom. You know whose business that is? Not f—— yours.”

“They just had massive abdominal surgery. Abdominal surgery to get out the human life that they just built. I can’t believe that people say that. That is horrific. I dare you to say that within earshot of me,” she continued.

While she acknowledged her stance was “aggressive,” she said she’s “standing by it.”

“I said what I said,” she added.

After previously sharing that she was a particularly large baby who was delivered via C-Section herself, Kylie quipped, “You think that when I was 12 pounds, one ounce and I had to come out the front in on my 5-foot-2 mother that she didn’t experience birth? I will kick your ass in honor of [my mother] Lisa.”

As for her own birth plan and labor essentials, the Philadelphia native noted that she has “such a short list.” Kylie said noting that she doesn’t listen to music during labor.

“I watch shows while we’re waiting for the baby to descend,” Kylie, who is mom to daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, and Bennett, 2, explained. “I do what is advised by the medical staff in the hospital because I truly believe that labor and delivery nurses are angels that have descended from heaven and landed on Earth.”

[From People]

“The person you’re speaking to just grew a human…You know whose business that is? Not f—— yours.” Amazing. I love how Kylie is such a girl’s girl who stands up for what she believes in and isn’t afraid to tell someone to F off because they are wrong. Women supporting women, y’all. She’s right, though. A woman’s birth plan is between herself and her healthcare provider. There is no need to steamroll someone with your own opinions or get all judgy about someone else’s choices. The goal is safely delivering the baby. This also goes for other decisions, like breastfeeding. When it comes to these things, only give your opinion if you’re asked for it. And even then, listen and be respectful.

Also, I am so freaking impressed that Kylie is able to watch TV while she’s in labor. I got an epidural with my older son, but was too anxious to do anything other than marvel at how wonderful it felt, nervously play on my phone, and stare out the window as I waited for the Pitocin to do its thing. I wish I’d thought to bring a laptop and pop on Netflix. With my younger son, I was medically unable to get one because my platelets dropped suddenly. I’m pretty sure I left my body in between contractions, lol. Anyway, Kylie is a fantastic advocate for women. I love her and am so grateful that she’s out there, spreading the word and hopefully making a difference.

Michelle Obama: Barack wanted a third child, ‘and I was like ‘Dude.”

First it was the Duchess of Sussex’s Archetypes and now it’s Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast – both women dethroned Spotify’s “golden boy” douchebag Joe Rogan from the top of the pod charts. Kylie’s podcasting success is no surprise – she’s a very normal person married to one of the most beloved retired football players in the country. She’s got the relatable-mom-married-to-a-sports-bro act down pat. Her family is basically a sitcom already. All of which to say, it does not surprise me at all that Kylie is booking some big-name guests. In this week’s NGL pod, Kylie spoke to Michelle Obama. They seemed to bond about so much – having daughters, being early-to-bed people and more. Michelle also revealed that her husband wanted a third child, and whether she would ever run for president.

Michelle Obama is content with being a mother of two. The former first lady, who shares daughters Malia Obama, 26, and Sasha Obama, 23, with her husband, former president Barack Obama, got candid with Kylie Kelce about her and Barack’s differing opinions on the size of their family on the March 20 episode of Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast.

“I was like, I think I’ve been lucky with these two,” Michelle said of Malia and Sasha. “Barack was like, ‘We should have a third,’ and I was like, ‘Dude.’ ” Kylie, 32, who is currently pregnant with her fourth child with husband Jason Kelce, noted of Michelle’s girls, “Two good sleepers, I’d call it too.” The Becoming author agreed, adding, “You know, I’m thinking we’re gonna get a crazy one.”

Getting candid about her fears from early motherhood, Michelle said, “I think the sadness or the postpartum that I felt with my kids really came from, like, you love these babies so much. You immediately, you’re connected, and you think, ‘Oh my god, all you have is me. I feel so bad for you. I wish you had a parent.’ ”

Michelle and Kylie, who are both mothers to girls, also quipped about their husbands being girl dads. “That’s because that’s what your husband deserved,” Michelle told Kylie. “That’s what I told Barack, ‘Dude, you need a bunch of women in your life to smack you around.’”

And while she’s been approached about running for president countless times, Michelle added that she’d never consider it, due mostly to her role as a mother.

“I wanted them to have the freedom of not having the eyes of the world on them,” she explained. “And so when people ask me would I ever run, the answer is no. If you ask me that, then you have absolutely no idea the sacrifice that your kids make when your parents are in that role.”

Noting that she’s “not interested in politics in that way,” the author added, “The thought of, like, putting my girls back into that spotlight when they are just now establishing themselves. I think we’ve done enough … they’ve already served their time.”

[From People]

It’s still crazy to me that Democrats still eagerly pitch MO as their dream candidate when she’s spent years and years saying the same thing, which is that she has absolutely no interest in politics. That’s especially true at this point, after she saw what happened in the last election. As for Barack wanting another kid and MO shutting it down… she’s spoken and written about how tough those early years were when their girls were young, and how she felt like Barack wasn’t pulling his weight as a father. I imagine that, more than anything, was the biggest factor in not wanting a third.

In this clip, MO and Kylie talk about how they love to go to bed early. It truly is one of the best gifts you can give yourself at a certain age – a quiet early bedtime.

.@MichelleObama is not gonna lie: bedtime is the best time of the day!

Kylie Kelce says her husband always has a snack right before she gives birth

Last week’s episode of Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast was another fun one. She starts it off by confessing that she’s going to sound very out of breath when she’s talking because her baby is currently pushed up against her lungs and she “can’t inflate them fully.” She also jokes that because she’s almost nine months pregnant, her TikTok algorithm is showing her lots of “pick your hospital bag” videos. After sharing what’s going to be in her own hospital bag, Kylie turns her attention over to all of her listeners who are dads or about-to-be dads and tells them what’s in Jason’s hospital bag. All of his previous bags were fairly reasonable, but this year, he may show up with his own air mattress, which…fair, lol. Kylie then goes one step further and shares Jason’s biggest tip for dads in the delivery room. That tip? To eat a snack right before that final action starts to happen.

“Just for good measure, I will share Jason’s biggest tip to soon to be fathers,” the 32-year-old said. “He is convinced that men pass out because when pushing starts to happen and birth amps up and the baby is on its way out, that you stand up and you get this rush of adrenaline.”

“And a lot of times, you’ve gone from sitting all day waiting to then jumping up and being in an excited situation,” the host, who is expecting her fourth baby girl with Jason, 37, continued. The couple are already parents to daughters Wyatt Elizabeth, 5, Elliotte Ray, 4, and Bennett Llewellyn, 2.

The expectant mom explained that Jason thinks fathers should “eat a snack right before mom starts pushing because he’s convinced that it’s an issue with your blood sugar.”

“I giggle a little only because it sounds ridiculous, but when you are in it, having gone through it three times, it seems legit,” Kylie said. “I don’t remember which birth it was, but I do remember looking over as I got the shakes, and I’m like, ‘We’re going.’ And he’s, like, mid bite getting ready to hold me for a crunch.”

The former collegiate field hockey player continued, “But he hasn’t passed out. So take it, take the advice. Just have a little sneaky snack before the slip and slide happens.”

[From People]

I can vividly picture that scene she describes of looking over and seeing Jason mid-chew as she’s pushing. It feels like a scene straight out of a sitcom. Having never been a new dad in the delivery room myself, I don’t know for sure if there’s a blood sugar issue to be wary about, but I can see how that makes sense for some people, especially when you consider the waiting all day and suddenly springing into action aspect. Generally, you have a little bit of warning about how far a new mom is progressing, so I’d advise Jason to move his snickety-snack timeline up a bit so he’s fully available when it’s go-time. I was scared when it was time to start pushing with my first son. I would have been so mad if Mr. Rosie had taken a snack break at that moment lol. Eating before you get to the hospital is solid advice for both parents, though. I was too nervous to eat with my first and ended up pushing for 90 minutes because my energy was so depleted. I ate on the way to the hospital with my second and it was only four minutes of pushing. Food is good and those ice chips are teases!
