Blind Items Glen Powell

Glen Powell refused to take a photo with a canceled celebrity: his face is toxic

Glen Powell’s new sports comedy series, Chad Powers, is out on Tuesday, Sept. 30. It’s based on a 2022 prank that Eli Manning pulled in which he disguised himself as a man named Chad Powers and then tried out as a walk-on quarterback for Penn State. It’s similar to how Ted Lasso came about. Glen plays a disgraced former college quarterback named Russ Holliday who disguises himself as the title character in order to get a second chance. He’s described it as Mrs. Doubtfire, but with football.”

Glen’s been doing promo for this series and his upcoming movie, The Running Man. He recently stopped by the Therapuss podcast. While he and host Jake Shane were talking about Russ/Chad’s personal growth over the course of the first season, Glen related it to real-life cancel culture. Then he dropped an interesting little blind item about meeting a problematic actor at a Hollywood party and refusing to take a picture with him.

“I showed up to the party and there was somebody that had basically been on the ropes in terms of sort of getting cancelled,” Powell began.

Powell shared that the event was “one of those Hollywood parties where there are cameras and press and all that stuff.”

Without naming the “recently canceled” celebrity, the Top Gun: Maverick star revealed that “this person had made a lot of some of my favorite movies.”

“He came up and he said nice to meet you, and I was like, ‘Oh, dude, big fan.’ And then a photographer said, ‘Hey, can we take a picture of the two of you guys?’ And this person was recently cancelled and was, as of late, not good,” Powell said.

“I was a fan of their work but not a fan of their choices, right? So I was just kind of being nice, but then when they want to take a picture with you, I realized very quickly how I was like I don’t know if this is a good idea. He clearly clocked that I was like ‘this is probably not a good idea,’” the actor said.

“This guy, his face is toxic,” Powell went on to say. “You know, like going out into the world, like people are having a visceral reaction to this person in terms of the bad choices they’ve made.”

He connected the awkward interaction to his character in the upcoming series Chad Powers, a disgraced college football star who returns to the field in disguise and under a new alias. “The character that I play in Chad, it’s like Russ Holiday is a guy that just made a mistake, right? He’s not a bad guy,” Powell said.

He concluded that some reputations, however, are earned. “Some of these other people that get canceled, they should lie where they’re shot,” Powell said.

[From People]

“Some of these other people that get canceled, they should lie where they’re shot.” I’ve watched that part of the clip five times now, and I can’t figure out if Glen is talking about the person from his story or if he’s saying that the actor in question made bad choices and should be given the opportunity to apologize and work their way back into the public’s good graces in a similar manner as Russ/Chad is trying to do. I feel like that’s a huge clue into figuring out who he’s talking about.

So, thoughts on who this canceled celebrity could be? The biggest guesses online are Kevin Spacey or Armie Hammer. I can see why people are going to Spacey, but he got outed as a terrible person in 2017 and it feels like Glen’s exchange happened more recently. It could be Armie. His own house of cards didn’t really start crumbling until 2021. I think there’s also an outside chance that it was James Franco, or maybe even Jonathan Majors, depending on how recent this party was. This story got me thinking though. It sort of pulls back the curtain that these problematic, toxic actors are still accepted into those spaces as long as their peers aren’t photographed with them.

Here’s the clip of Glen telling the story:

Blind item: Which one of Donald Trump’s friends is taking the ‘fat shot drug’?

You know how Donald Trump is so out-of-it and senile that his staff just let him sit around and “sign” things? That’s all he does – they give him a stack of official-looking documents and a Sharpie, and he signs things at a little desk. Well, yesterday, Trump “signed” a new something or other which will reduce the cost of prescription drugs. At the signing ceremony – which was also attended by Mehmet Oz and Robert Kennedy Jr. – Trump decided to go off script and tell a story about one of his dear friends, a very successful businessman, who took “the fat shot drug.”

President Trump took a public jab at a “very successful, very rich” pal who allegedly uses “the fat shot drug” — but hasn’t seen success.

“A friend of mine who’s a businessman … most of you would’ve heard of him,” Trump said, while giving a speech at a signing ceremony at the White House on Monday, per video circulating on X. “Highly neurotic, brilliant businessman, seriously overweight. And he takes the fat shot drug.”

The unnamed friend allegedly told Trump that he paid just $88 for the popular weight-zapping drug in London while dishing out $1,300 for it in New York.

“What the hell is going on?” Trump’s mysterious pal asked, noting, “It’s not working.”

Those in attendance began chuckling after hearing the president’s weighty insult, while others at home on social media began speculating who the politician could be referring to in his speech.

Obviously, people are talking about this like it’s a blind item and throwing out names of Trump’s various overweight associates. The easiest guess is that he’s talking about Elon Musk. Musk has already undergone cosmetic procedures to look like that, and he’s also spoken about taking weight-loss drugs as well. But I feel like… I don’t know, Trump is probably talking about someone else? Is he talking about himself??? Because there are rumors about Trump taking Ozempic too.

Blind Items Kristin Davis

Kristin Davis was ghosted by a famous actor after lending him $5k

While they’re rarer lately, we still get the occasional blind item straight from a celebrity’s mouth. This week we got a nice one from Kristin Davis. I always forget this, but Kristin’s career started long before Sex and the City. She was on Melrose Place from 1992 until 1995. Kristin now has a podcast about her SATC experience, called “Are You A Charlotte?” On the episode that came out on January 19, Kristin tells a story about a time when she dated a now “very successful” actor who was, at the time, down on his luck. So, out of the goodness of her heart, she offered to lend him $5,000. As a thank you, the dude ghosted her. The story in Kristin’s own words:

Kristin Davis revealed that a “very successful” actor once ghosted her after she lent him $5,000. In Sunday’s episode of her “Are You a Charlotte?” podcast, the actress described the unnamed man as an “out-of-work actor” whom she began dating before becoming a household name.

“I think this was before ‘Sex and the City,’ maybe between ‘Melrose’ and ‘Sex and City’ or maybe when I was on ‘Melrose.’ I don’t know,” she shared.

Davis, 59, said that while the actor is “now very successful” and “was very talented,” she spotted bill notices at his home from companies threatening to shut off his electricity at the time they were dating.

“And I was like, ‘What’s happening?’ And then, I think he wrecked his motorcycle, which is, like, how he got around to his auditions,” she recalled.

“And I was like, ‘Can I lend you some money?’ Horrible mistake.”

The Emmy nominee said lending the actor money “changed the dynamic” between them in a “horrible way.”

“But I just thought, like, I can help … I should help this guy,” she continued. “He’s so talented, which he is. Lend him money. I think it was all of $5,000 — a lot of money.”

Davis said the man “stopped calling” after her nice gesture, so she popped up at his apartment and started banging on his door.

“His dog was in there, and I loved his dog, and I could hear his dog, but I was like, ‘Is he in there and pretending that he is not there?’” she remembered.

The “Couples Retreat” actress said the actor called her “later on” and asked whether she had been banging on his door.

“And I was like, ‘Well, yes.’ … I felt so embarrassed. Like, being messy,” she shared. “I just would love some acknowledgment or whatever, which is kind of a fantasy.”

Though Davis never disclosed who the actor was, she said he now “lives out in the country with some children.”

[From Page Six]

Well, damn. I wish I could say that I have surprised outrage over this story, but I have only indignation. I’m mad for Kristin on her behalf, not because the dude never paid her back but because he f-cking accepted her money and then ghosted her! I get having your pride wounded, but my dude, you didn’t have to disappear. Pay the woman back and give her a big “thank you,” FFS.

I’ve been racking my brain but I’m still not sure who this mystery actor could be. Her timeline is vague, so it really could be anywhere between 1992 and 2004, which covers the time periods of both Melrose Place and SATC. Although her dating timeline has some holes, there are lists of them out there. There are also a lot of different guesses out there right now, but the Internet has not yet come to any solid conclusions. Her most famous actor exes are Chris Noth and Alec Baldwin, but my gut says it’s neither of them because they don’t fit the description. So, bitches, my crowd-sourced question is: who could it be?

Blind Items Julia Fox Racist

Julia Fox quit a project she worked on for five years due to a racist white director

I must confess that I am one of those people who is fascinated by Julia Fox. When she first came to my attention during her brief tenure as Kanye’s girlfriend, she was easy to write off as just another woman looking for her 15 minutes. I’ve since come to realize that my affinity for her is because she reminds me of an “old school” celebrity from the early days of Internet gossip. You know what I mean! She knows what to say and how to dress to get us to talk about her. She’s thirsty for attention and knows how to quench it. That said, she’s also pretty open and honest about her backstory and motivation to earn money (her son). She just seems like a very complicated person who is good at promoting her brand, which is herself.

Like all good self-promoters, Julia has a TikTok. A few days ago, Julia made a video, which you can watch below, in which she drops some tea on a project that she says she’s been involved with for five years. According to Julia, she had to quit this long-term project after its director was hired because he ended up being a racist POS. When he was first brought on board, she had a call with him. During this call, Julia and Unnamed Director X clashed over whether or not to have a diverse cast. According to this director, diversity casting is racist and white people have it hard too. OMFG.

“OK, so the craziest thing just happened to me,” she began. “So I’ve been attached to a project for five years. I’ve given creative contributions to it, emotional contributions to it, it was like my baby. I even brought on like a major, major A-list icon to play alongside me and everything was going great until this white man director came in.”

She went on to explain that the white male director, who she doesn’t name, “was trying to kick me off the project. Meanwhile I’ve been there for five years and he’s been there for a week. I had mentioned [to him] that I really thought it was important to have diversity in our lead cast,” which apparently rubbed him the wrong way.

“He said, ‘Why? White people have it really hard too. And plus, diversity casting is like using Black people as puppets.’ Meanwhile, we’re actors, we’re all f-cking puppets, what are you talking about?” she said while reading from notes she said she took during the call.

“‘White people don’t have a duty to cast Black people because so many Black projects happen and Asian projects and nobody gets mad that there’s no white people in the cast.’ He said ‘Turn on Netflix, turn on any streamer, it’s all Black projects. Go to India, all the movies in India have all Indian people, nobody gets mad that they don’t have diversity.’”

“I said, ‘Honey, white people have been the default up until now. Let them have their all Indian movies,’” to which he allegedly said, “‘What are you talking about? Wake up, we are in 2024—this isn’t 2005 or something.’”

“It was giving Proud Boy, it was giving ‘All Lives Matter,’ it was giving white supremacy, and at that point I was done arguing,” she says. “And I said ‘You know what, I can’t work with you, I’m done.”

Julia went on to say she’s “grown to love the people attached, the producers, the writers, the other actor in question, and I don’t want to blow up this whole thing for them,” but “I just can’t believe I’m having conversations like this in 2024.”

It’s not yet known which project she was referring to, nor the director.

[From JustJared]

Well, first and foremost, I absolutely have to know who this director is. This is a pretty wild blind item. Who do we think it could be? It’s not surprising that a white male director would say this, but it never ceases to amaze me how many people say this kind of sh-t with their whole chest and no shame. If what Julia’s saying is true, then I want him to be exposed so that everyone knows just who they’re working with or who is benefiting from their support. In the same vein, I also would love to know the name of the project she quit and whether the A-list star that she brought on board is still willing to be attached to it. While a big name star may have the ability to walk away, I feel badly for the crew members who are now involved in what surely will become a mess because of a director that they had no hand in hiring.

Blind Items Derek Blasberg Gwyneth Paltrow

A blind item about Gwyneth Paltrow’s Hamptons house guest has been solved

Last week, PopBitch ran a particularly gross blind item – you can see the full screenshot here. The basics were as follows: an A-list actress has a house in the Hamptons and she regularly has friends stay with her. One of her friends – “a NYC-based wordsmith” – stayed in a guest room and had some kind of explosive diarrhea incident. Instead of confessing to the A-list actress, he just left money for the maids and got the hell out of there. Now the A-list actress is disgusted with the guy and she’s telling her friends about what went down, plus Hamptonites are now texting each other about “Ozempic-induced diarrhea.” Well, the Daily Mail did a big reveal. Unsurprisingly, the A-list actress is none other than Gwyneth Paltrow. But the NYC-based wordsmith? Who is he?? Turns out it’s everyone’s favorite hanger-on, Derek Blasberg. He’s like Jonathan Cheban for the elite.

The mystery surrounding the unfortunate guest who lost control of their bowels in a bed at Gwyneth Paltrow’s Hamptons home has now been solved by insiders who have named the person at the center of the scandal. DailyMail.com can reveal that the culprit behind the mortifying incident is socialite and celebrity hanger-on, Derek Blasberg.

The internet was whipped into a frenzy last week when a blind item in a popular gossip newsletter claimed that Goop founder Paltrow, 51, had been tasked with cleaning up someone’s ‘Ozempic-induced diarrhea’ at her home. But insiders have claimed that media personality Blasberg, 42 – once described as ‘one of showbiz’s most well-connected men’ – only conveniently blamed it on the popular weight loss wonder drug before allegedly fleeing the property.

‘It’s not Ozempic, that’s just what he told everyone,’ the insider said, before revealing how the secret made its way through the Hamptons set. ‘Gwyneth told Oprah, Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld, and Larry David. It’s shocking how many people know this story and how he has managed to keep it out of The Post… probably via his best friend [socialite Dasha Zhukova] – whose mom just married Rupert Murdoch.’

Blasberg is no stranger to spending time with Paltrow at her five-bedroom Long Island home, where she hosted her wedding to Brad Falchuk. In 2022 the fashion expert posted a snap of himself and the actress celebrating her 50th birthday at the sprawling property. And it appears someone tried to out Blasberg as the phantom pooper four weeks ago when they commented two poop emojis, a toilet emoji and a dynamite emoji on the Instagram post.

[From The Daily Mail]

“It appears someone tried to out Blasberg as the phantom pooper four weeks ago when they commented two poop emojis, a toilet emoji and a dynamite emoji.” OMFG. Like… how embarrassing, how awful, how scandalous. It’s bad enough that Gwyneth knows about Derek’s awful exploding diarrhea, but the fact that she’s telling everyone about it? Blasberg is probably going to be cut out of Hamptons society for at least a year. And if it wasn’t Ozempic-related diarrhea, what was it? Let me be honest – when I had the norovirus years ago, it was a mess. Not this bad – I was horking up almost everything – but it was BAD. For days. If he was legitimately sick, I would be more understanding. But what caused this??

Blind Items Rebel Wilson

Blind item: Which Windsor family member invited Rebel Wilson to a sex party?

Rebel Wilson is still promoting her memoir, Rebel Rising, and hustling away. I’m surprised she hasn’t repeated her story about meeting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex again, but maybe that’s coming. For now, she’s using the British royal family in a different way – she’s offered up a blind item about a male member of the Windsor clan who apparently invited her to a drug-fueled sex party at a billionaire’s home.

Rebel Wilson is claiming that a certain member of the royal family is associated with wild parties. In her new memoir, Rebel Rising, the 44-year-old actress details being invited to an event by an unnamed member of the royal lineage in 2014.

“I got thrown a last-minute invite to a tech billionaire’s party – the guy who invited me, who’s like fifteenth or twentieth in line to the British throne, had said to my male friend, ‘We need more girls.’ ” the book reads. Wilson describes the undisclosed location as a ranch just outside of the Los Angeles area. The theme was medieval, so she came dressed in a “buxom damsel outfit complete with cone hat.” According to Wilson, “It was a vibe.”

“The party was insane. Men were jousting on horses in a field, girls dressed as mermaids were in the pool… The property was massive, and because it was quite a drive, people had been assigned rooms to sleep there overnight,” she wrote.

Next, she recalled seeing the unnamed royal as the party went on. “I watch the British royal flounder around whilst I continuously hike up my boobs… There’s a huge private fireworks display and then all of a sudden it’s 2am and a guy comes out with a large tray piled with what looks like a ton of candy,” Wilson said. Happy to be gifted with the sweet treats, she inquired about the goods only to be told that they were in fact “molly.”

Wilson explained, “I turned to the screenwriter I’ve been talking with, confused. He says, ‘Oh, it’s for the orgy… the orgies normally start at these things about this time.’ ”

Giving his words a bit of thought, Wilson said she had an epiphany. “Now the comment by the Windsor about needing more girls started to make a lot more sense. They weren’t talking about a boy-girl ratio like it was a year-eight disco. They were talking about an ORGY!”

As Wilson stated in her memoir, she had no desire to be included in whatever was about to happen next. “Needless to say, I hike up my damsel dress and run out of there as fast as I can,” she wrote.

[From People]

So, there’s your blind item – it happened in 2014, the unknown Windsor male is far down the line of succession (somewhere between 15 to 20), there were lots of drugs at the party, it happened at a ranch outside of LA. Given the timeline and the likelihood of which Windsors would have been in or around California at the time, my guess is… Lord Frederick Windsor? He would have been in LA with his wife Sophie Winkleman at the time. Of course, he’s even further down the line of succession – he’s currently 53rd in line. Let me look at the line of succession… Peter Phillips? Maybe Prince Andrew, God knows what he was up to.

Blind Items Rebecca Ferguson

Blind item: Who is ‘absolute idiot’ A-lister who screamed at Rebecca Ferguson?

Rebecca Ferguson is currently promoting Dune 2, and she recently sat down for an extended interview with the Reign with Josh Smith podcast. The podcast format being what it is, this gave Ferguson a chance to get comfortable enough to spill some interesting tea. Keep in mind, over the past decade, Ferguson has become an undercover “movie star,” and part of two major franchises, Dune and Mission: Impossible. She has that Cate Blanchett chameleon quality, where she can really look radically different and play very different roles. All of that means that she’s worked with a lot of people and one of them – an A-lister, she says – screamed at her and upset her so much that she refused to work with him or her.

Rebecca Ferguson is revealing she refused to work with a big name costar after the person screamed at her. Speaking on the Reign with Josh Smith podcast, the actress, 40, recalled the moment she had to deal with an “absolute idiot of a costar.”

“I remember there was a moment and this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out,” she said while not disclosing the person’s identity. Meanwhile, she confirmed that it was not Hugh Jackman, who she acted with in the 2021 movie Reminiscence, or Tom Cruise, who she costarred with in Mission: Impossible.

“And I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at,” Ferguson added. “But because this person was number one on a call sheet, there was no safety net for me. So no one had my back. And I would cry walking off set.”

The Dune: Part Two star revealed that the person would say things like, “You call yourself an actor?” and “This is what I have to work with?”

“I stood there just breaking,” Ferguson said. However, the Mission: Impossible actress confronted the individual despite being “so scared.”

“I looked at this person and I said, ‘You can eff off. I’m gonna work towards a tennis ball. I never want to see you again,’” Ferguson recalled. “And then I remember the producers came up and said, ‘You can’t do this to number one. We have to let this person be on set.’”

Ferguson explained that she requested to act to the back of her costar’s head. “And I did,” she said. “I thought it shouldn’t have to be that way. And I remember going to the director afterward and saying, ‘What is happening?’ The director said, ‘You’re right. I am not taking care of everyone else. I’m trying to fluff this person because it’s so unstable,’ ” she added. “And it was great from that moment but it took so long for me to get to that.”

The incident also served as a turning point for the Silo actress. “From that moment, I have never let myself get to a point where I’ve got home and gone, ‘Why did that happen?’ “

[From People]

So, this is the blind item – she says it wasn’t Tom Cruise or Hugh Jackman, which I believe (Jackman and Cruise’s costars always sing their praises). I also believe it was not Timothee Chalamet – they seem completely fine with each other. She was in Doctor Sleep with Ewan McGregor (which I never saw) but Ewan doesn’t seem like the type to behave like this (once again, all of his costars sing his praises). She was in The Snowman with Michael Fassbender, Life with Jake Gyllenhaal and The Girl on the Train with Emily Blunt. And she worked with Hugh Grant & Meryl Streep on Florence Foster Jenkins (and Hugh, ever grumpy, even sang her praises in interviews). Yeah… my guess is Jake, but who knows.
