Blind Items Rebel Wilson

Blind item: Which Windsor family member invited Rebel Wilson to a sex party?

Rebel Wilson is still promoting her memoir, Rebel Rising, and hustling away. I’m surprised she hasn’t repeated her story about meeting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex again, but maybe that’s coming. For now, she’s using the British royal family in a different way – she’s offered up a blind item about a male member of the Windsor clan who apparently invited her to a drug-fueled sex party at a billionaire’s home.

Rebel Wilson is claiming that a certain member of the royal family is associated with wild parties. In her new memoir, Rebel Rising, the 44-year-old actress details being invited to an event by an unnamed member of the royal lineage in 2014.

“I got thrown a last-minute invite to a tech billionaire’s party – the guy who invited me, who’s like fifteenth or twentieth in line to the British throne, had said to my male friend, ‘We need more girls.’ ” the book reads. Wilson describes the undisclosed location as a ranch just outside of the Los Angeles area. The theme was medieval, so she came dressed in a “buxom damsel outfit complete with cone hat.” According to Wilson, “It was a vibe.”

“The party was insane. Men were jousting on horses in a field, girls dressed as mermaids were in the pool… The property was massive, and because it was quite a drive, people had been assigned rooms to sleep there overnight,” she wrote.

Next, she recalled seeing the unnamed royal as the party went on. “I watch the British royal flounder around whilst I continuously hike up my boobs… There’s a huge private fireworks display and then all of a sudden it’s 2am and a guy comes out with a large tray piled with what looks like a ton of candy,” Wilson said. Happy to be gifted with the sweet treats, she inquired about the goods only to be told that they were in fact “molly.”

Wilson explained, “I turned to the screenwriter I’ve been talking with, confused. He says, ‘Oh, it’s for the orgy… the orgies normally start at these things about this time.’ ”

Giving his words a bit of thought, Wilson said she had an epiphany. “Now the comment by the Windsor about needing more girls started to make a lot more sense. They weren’t talking about a boy-girl ratio like it was a year-eight disco. They were talking about an ORGY!”

As Wilson stated in her memoir, she had no desire to be included in whatever was about to happen next. “Needless to say, I hike up my damsel dress and run out of there as fast as I can,” she wrote.

So, there’s your blind item – it happened in 2014, the unknown Windsor male is far down the line of succession (somewhere between 15 to 20), there were lots of drugs at the party, it happened at a ranch outside of LA. Given the timeline and the likelihood of which Windsors would have been in or around California at the time, my guess is… Lord Frederick Windsor? He would have been in LA with his wife Sophie Winkleman at the time. Of course, he’s even further down the line of succession – he’s currently 53rd in line. Let me look at the line of succession… Peter Phillips? Maybe Prince Andrew, God knows what he was up to.

Rebel Wilson: ‘Adele hates me’ & acts ‘as if my fatness might rub off on her’

What’s your vibe on Rebel Wilson’s memoir and book promotion? Before this story, the only thing I’ve paid attention to was her big claim that Sacha Baron Cohen is a giant a–hole. Breaking news! While I believe that story, my vibe is that Rebel’s memoir is trying to be a scandalous story where she name-drops various celebrities and acts like everyone treated her poorly? Maybe that’s the truth, but given what we’ve seen of her previous storytelling abilities, Rebel’s attempts at sounding self-deprecating never really land the way she intended. I think that’s what’s happening here. Apparently, Rebel believes Adele hates her.

Rumor has it that Adele didn’t like being compared to Rebel Wilson.

“Some actresses would get offended if I called them plus-size in this book, so I have to be careful with what I say. This is why, I think, Adele hates me,” Wilson, 44, writes in her upcoming memoir, “Rebel Rising,” according to an excerpt obtained by InTouch Weekly.

“There was a moment when she was bigger, and some people would confuse us for one another … I am assuming, because to be fair I’ve never asked her,” Wilson continued. According to the “Bridesmaids” alum, the few times that she and the “Rolling in the Deep” songstress, 35, crossed paths, Adele “always quickly” turned away whenever she saw Wilson heading in her direction.

“As if my fatness might rub off on her if I were near her for more than thirty seconds. That she didn’t like being compared to ‘Fat Amy,’” Wilson penned, referring to her “Pitch Perfect” character. Both entertainers have lost significant weight in recent years.

Does… any of this sound like Adele? I’m really asking. I would never think that Adele and Rebel look anything alike and I’ve never heard anyone compare the two women. This beef sounds like a figment of Rebel’s imagination. I mean, given what Rebel is saying here, if Adele does hate Rebel, she would be completely justified.

Rebel Wilson met the Sussexes, thinks Meghan is ‘not as naturally warm’ as Harry

Rebel Wilson and John Oliver were the guests on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. First of all, I watched some of the clips and John Oliver remains one of the best talk-show guests ever, he’s such a gossip and a pop-culture expert, as well as being delightfully funny. That’s the good news – John Oliver remains a good dude. The bad news is that Rebel Wilson decided to make an ass out of herself and now the Sussex Squad is pulling out years of receipts on her. On the show, Rebel spoke about how she recently met the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in Santa Barbara, California. Rebel said Harry “could not have been nicer” but that Meghan “was not as cool” and “not as naturally warm.”

Rebel says that it was her first time meeting them and they met through a mutual friend, a polo player. After she spoke about Meghan not being cool or “naturally warm,” Rebel says: “My mum being Australian asked her all these slightly rude questions like, ‘Where are your kids?’ and things like that. Maybe that’s why she was like, ‘Who are these annoying convicts from Australia?’ I’m like, ‘Mum, don’t ask her that.’” Ah yes, a white woman demanding to know the whereabouts of Meghan and Harry’s children, who would have thought.

Yeah, so… now people are pulling out years of receipts of all the times Rebel has said or done problematic, racist and sexist sh-t. And there’s a lot, and we’ve even covered some of it. She’s gotten away with saying and doing some pretty horrible stuff because she’s a “comedian.” She’s always had racial blind spots (to put it kindly) and I would also kind of assume that she was looking to start sh-t to get attention. Which is her M.O.

An Australian newspaper threatened to out Rebel Wilson last week

Last Thursday, Rebel Wilson came out on her Instagram. She posted a photo of herself and Ramona Agruma, the woman she’s been seeing for months. Positive stories appeared in People Magazine about Rebel and Ramona, with sources saying that they’re very serious about one another and they’ve been dating since January and Rebel has never been happier. Now, Rebel’s coming out on Instagram was a surprise, but I think we all hoped Rebel did it because she was happy, right? Turns out, Rebel only came out because she was being threatened and harassed by an Australian newspaper, which was about to out her.

Rebel Wilson’s coming out announcement is under a microscope because of what was happening BTS … including a newspaper’s attempt to force her to comment beforehand. The Aussie actress — who just revealed she’s in a relationship with a woman — responded to an outraged journalist from Down Under, who couldn’t believe what the Sydney Morning Herald seems to be admitting … namely, that they had RW over a barrel with the story.

The reporter wrote, “So apparently it wasn’t @RebelWilson’s choice to come out… The @smh/@theage have admitted to giving her a heads up 2 days in advance that they were going to ‘out’ her.” She notes that openly gay men who work at SMH were involved too.

To that, Rebel wrote back … “Thanks for your comments, it was a very hard situation but trying to handle it with grace ❤️” In other words, she appears to be confirming this perception of an attempt to out her publicly, before she was ready to do so herself.

The article in question — which details what went into the process of trying to confirm the relationship — comes across as somewhat angry about the fact that Rebel evaded their questions, which they say they made 2 days in advance, and scooped them herself.

The author writes of the decision to ask her team for comment … “Big mistake. Wilson opted to gazump the story,” adding … “Considering how bitterly Wilson had complained about poor journalism standards when she successfully sued Woman’s Day for defamation, her choice to ignore our discreet, genuine and honest queries was, in our view, underwhelming.”

As a result, many have accused the outlet of trying to out Rebel … but one of their editors, Bevan Shields, denied that characterization in a follow-up piece — offering more context. He says, “[W]e simply asked questions and as standard practice included a deadline for a response. I had made no decision about whether or what to publish, and the Herald’s decision about what to do would have been informed by any response Wilson supplied.”

Shields adds, “Wilson made the decision to publicly disclose her new partner – who had been a feature of her social media accounts for months.” He says the paper wishes her well.

[From TMZ]

This situation feels like a throwback to twenty years ago – this is how the tabloid media operated back then. But everyone knows better now, there are GLAAD Media protocols for how, where and when journalists can write about someone’s sexuality or same-sex relationship. It’s not up to the SMH bitches to give Rebel an ultimatum, threatening to out her. And when she handled it herself, the SMH bitches were FURIOUS. How completely pathetic. You can see journalist Kate Doak’s Twitter thread about the situation here.

Thanks for your comments, it was a very hard situation but trying to handle it with grace 💗

Rebel Wilson: “I may eat a lot, but I am very healthy”

rebel-033115-_1

On her fashion sense:

“I am the type of girl with zero fashion sense but I am getting into it now. It’s becoming important for me. I saw a lot of girls were beginning to notice what I wear and I feel a kind of responsibility, because there aren’t any women in Hollywood my size and age.”

On being healthy:

“You need to be physically strong for this job. I like to have the stamina to work 16 hours a day. I may eat a lot, but I am very healthy.”

… says Rebel.

Rebel Wilson: “It’s very hard to laugh at someone who’s very attractive”

FFN_f_51604363

Joking about her weight:

One time I got X-rayed by a chiropractor and he goes, ‘You know, you don’t actually have a big build.’ It’s like, you’re just fat!

On her success in Hollywood:

Bigger girls do better in comedy. I don’t know why. Maybe because people find it easier to laugh. It’s very hard to laugh at someone who’s very attractive, I think. And normally those people don’t have a great personality anyway.

On whether she would like to lose weight:

I do have these dreams, like, ‘What if I just went to a health farm and lost 50 kilos? What would happen? Would it affect my career?’ But then I think, that’s never going to happen.

… says 28 year-old Rebel.

Your Favourite TV Show Is Probably Cancelled

Community cancelled

-It was a TV network bloodbath this afternoon, with NBC and ABC cancelling a bunch of shows, including Crisis, Believe, Super Fun Night, Revolution (the third JJ Abrams show to be axed this week) and a couple I actually watch: Trophy Wife, Suburgatory and — most heartbreakingly of all — Community. Now we’ll never know who the Ass Bandit is!

-Just in case you thought we were now stuck in the darkest timeline, here’s a good article on why we were lucky to get five seasons of Community in the first place.

-In really surprising news, Hannibal survived (likely because of its international funding deal, proving ratings don’t always matter when it comes to renewals).

-There’s still no word on Parenthood’s fate, and fans are freaking out. (My bet is it’s coming back, especially since NBC just wiped out its entire slate of dramas. Pay cuts are reportedly on the table though, so it all depends on if the cast is willing to play ball.)

-In happier TV news, Elisha Cuthbert, Krysten Ritter, David Duchovny, Casey Wilson and Kate Walsh are all returning to TV.

Justin Bieber has passive-aggressively responded to Seth Rogen‘s repeated slamming of him. It hasn’t stopped Seth at all.

-Sad news: The View’s Sherri Shepherd is divorcing husband Lamar Sally.

James Franco told Letterman he shared that naked selfie on Instagram because “it’s what the people want.” What people? I’m gonna need names!

-Also, James Franco may play Tommy Wiseau in movie about the making of The Room…which actually makes a lot of sense.

-Uh oh. Is Hilary Duff a Scientologist?

Lupita Nyong’o‘s photos from inside the White House are so goddamn adorable!

Rebel Wilson has been cast as the lead in a Private Benjamin remake, which I don’t hate.

-I keep forgetting that Paul Wesley is dating his former Vampire Diaries costar, Phoebe Tonkin. I’ve been side-eyeing her ever since she had a hissy fit over the fact that people were saying mean things about her character on The Originals on Tumblr. Maybe stop Googling your name, lady.

-The Breaking Bad spin-off just added three new cast members. So this is really happening, huh?

Nicole Kidman has responded to the royal family’s outrage over her Grace Kelly biopic.

Conan O’Brien gently eviscerated Sharon Stone’s new movie to her face on his show last night.

-I have got nothing but love for Angelina Jolie‘s crow-print dress. It’s much better than the jumpsuit-y thing she wore earlier.

-Meanwhile, here’s a new clip from Maleficent.

Lea Michele and Glee creator Ryan Murphy are in talks to team up for a real Funny Girl Broadway revival.

Jason Priestley‘s book tour is the gift that keeps on giving. Now he’s telling stories about former roommate Brad Pitt and a penis pump.

Lady Gaga took a jab at Katy Perry for having green hair and riding a fake horse on tour.

Sofia Coppola‘s The Little Mermaid isn’t even out yet, and already FunnyorDie is spoofing it.

Miranda Lambert is laughing off the latest rumours of a divorce from Blake Shelton.

-Here’s a clip from Hilary Swank and Tommy Lee Jones‘ western The Homesman, which is heading to Cannes.

Mila Kunis talked about her pregnancy on Ellen.

Jon Hamm has a really, really big head.

Steve Carrell and Jennifer Garner play frazzled parents in the trailer for Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
