Paris Hilton’s pizza ‘life hack’ is wiping the grease right on the box: nope?

There are some evergreen debates involving pizza. For example, is thin crust NY pizza is better than Chicago’s deep dish style? (I know you New Haven natives are all about your style, too!) Do you eat it folded or unfolded? Does pineapple have any business being a topping? Do you blot the grease off before eating it? On that last topic, one thing that I’ve never heard enter any great pizza debate is how you remove pizza grease. Using a napkin/paper towel or letting it drip off seem like straight-forward, universal methods to me. Well, Paris Hilton is here to introduce a new way to remove pizza grease: wiping it off on top of the box itself. She even posted a video of her doing just that to her TikTok. (You can watch that below.)

Paris Hilton just dropped a food take that’s decidedly not “hot.”

In a TikTok video posted on Monday — in which the heiress appears outdoors, bathed in sunlight and sparkle and surrounded by numerous pizza boxes — she shares a “life hack” that sits slightly outside the culinary norm.

As most know, pizza can be on the greasy side. While many opt for the classic napkin-blotting approach, Hilton takes a more unconventional route — by blotting her pizza on the box itself.

“That’s my trick,” she says in the video while placing her slice directly on top of the box to absorb the excess grease.

“This is the content that people want,” someone can be heard saying in the background.

Some commenters praised Hilton’s “ingenuity,” if not without a hint of sarcasm, declaring, “Napkins are overrated.” Others were quick to defend traditional grease management, reminding her that napkins do, in fact, still exist.

After demonstrating her peculiar technique, the heiress broke into a celebratory shimmy, enjoying what one can only assume was a slightly less greasy slice of pizza.

Hilton wrote in the video’s caption, “I’m full of #Sliving tips,” a nod to her signature quote that blends “slaying” and “living” (your best life) — though a germaphobe may have some reservations about her methods.

[From HuffPo]

First things first: I have to say that this sure is some outside the box thinking! (I’ll see myself out in just a minute, thankyouverymuch.) Terrible jokes aside, I don’t even know what to say here. Actually, yes I do. That’s not hot at all. I mean, I get wiping it off. I actually do not mind pizza grease at all, but eating greasy pizza is a young person’s game. However, this is something that one of my kids would try doing because they were too lazy to get a napkin. I guess it’s a life hack if you don’t have a napkin, paper towel, or anything else handy, but you have no idea where that pizza box has been and whose germs are on it. Overall, this gets a whole lot of nope from me. Also, for the record, NY thin crust pizza is way better than deep dish any day of the week. I said what I said.

Animals Disasters Good Celebrity Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton volunteered at the Pasadena Humane Society after losing her home

So many of you shared different LA-area animal shelters to donate to, in the comments on the hero story of Max the Dog (who is safely at a rescue center!). One group that several of you mentioned was the Pasadena Humane Society. Well, guess who volunteered at PHS over the weekend? Paris Hilton. I knew Paris was among the celebrities who’d lost their homes in the wildfires, but I didn’t realize that she actually watched her house in Malibu burn down on live TV. I can barely imagine what that must have been like, but Paris managed to put words to it eloquently in an Instagram post of her visiting the wreckage. Even after all that, Paris has set to work pitching in with relief efforts. In addition to spending time at PHS, Paris has also been helping out at Baby2Baby and a Hilton in Montebello, CA that is housing displaced families. And on top of that, she’s launched an emergency fund through her nonprofit. People Mag has all the details:

Two days after revealing the destruction of her home, [Hilton] headed to Pasadena to aid the impacted community. On Monday, Jan. 13, the Simple Life star, 43, posted to X, assisting the Pasadena Humane Society with animals who were found after the wildfires.

She revealed there was one cat without a collar in Altadena, Calif., which was heavily impacted by the Eaton Fire. Hilton explained that the cat “has been in the shelter for the last four days ????.”

Adding, “Please share with anyone you know from the Altadena area so we can reconnect this baby with his owner! His animal ID is A519218.”

Hilton added that her nonprofit, 11:11 Media Impact, has “contributed to support the shelter’s efforts, and they are “still raising funds to help displaced families and pets.” Noting, “Every donation makes a difference in providing emergency relief, housing, and supplies. If you’re able to donate or volunteer, the Pasadena Humane Society is an incredible charity to support! ❤️????????.”

Hilton also posted on Instagram that she “had the privilege of volunteering to support the inspiring impact work” at Baby2Baby and the Hilton in Montebello, Calif., and the Pasadena Humane Society. The Instagram carousel included several images of her and her husband, Carter Reum, with those impacted at different locations.

She also revealed she is fostering a dog named Zuzu, “whose family unfortunately had to surrender her after their home was destroyed in the wildfires.” Hilton said, “Fostering is such an important way to help when you’re able to — if you can, please consider giving a temporary or permanent home to animals in need ????????.”

The mother of two said the team “picked up essential items and gifts for the displaced families” who are staying at the Hilton in Montebello. “My heart goes out to them and being able to bring comfort and a smile to their faces is something I will never forget ????,” she wrote.

On Friday, Jan. 10, Hilton posted an Instagram announcing that she is working with 11:11 Media Impact to launch an emergency fund to “support displaced families with young children,” she wrote.

That day, Hilton said she would start with a personal contribution of $100,000 and noted that she would match any additional dollars raised up to $100,000. In her Monday, Jan. 13 Instagram post, she announced they had already raised over $600,000 in 3 days. They aim to reach $1 million “to provide cash assistance, housing, and essentials to those affected.”

Hilton is working with the emergency relief organization CORE, she said. The donations will provide short-term housing and hotel stays for families, deliver essentials and supplies to evacuation centers and support local animal shelters.

[From People]

Again, I am mighty impressed by Paris having the emotional wherewithal to put in the time to volunteer, set up a fund through her nonprofit, and take on a foster pup, mere days after her house just burned to the ground. I know she has money, and that helps, but I still give her credit for how she’s helping out. And as for little Zuzu, that girl is destined to be a foster fail, right? That sweet face! She looks like she has some Dachshund in her, so it’s highly probable that I’m extra susceptible to her cuteness because she reminds me of my dearly departed My Girl. And I could be projecting, but the expression on Zuzu’s face looks a touch bewildered and concerned, and understandably so! I feel for Zuzu, who likely has no idea what is happening, as much as I feel for her family who had to make the difficult decision to do what was right for Zuzu, even if it broke their hearts.

So here’s the important stuff: links to Pasadena Humane Society, 11:11 Media Impact, and CORE for making donations, if you are able. It’s all paws on deck.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are doing a show together for Peacock

The nostalgia train keeps chugging along, and the next stop is a new Paris Hilton/Nicole Richie show. Yup, that’s right! I guess this is great news for anyone out there who really misses The Simple Life. Paris and Nicole both announced the series with a little teaser on their Instagram accounts that merely showed a staticky TV screen that played their voices doing their old “Sanasa” chant over and over again. I would have found that really confusing on its own, so thankfully they also included a caption that read, “New Era. Same Besties. Coming soon to Peacock.”

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, the dynamic duo behind the iconic reality TV show, The Simple Life, are set to make a comeback on the small screen. After nearly 17 years since the conclusion of their hit series, the two best friends announced their reunion in a nostalgic Instagram post on Monday.

Hilton and Richie teased their upcoming project with the Instagram caption, “New Era. Same Besties. ????‍♀️ Coming soon to Peacock.” Despite the static on a TV screen in the clip they shared, fans could hear the familiar voices of Hilton and Richie uttering their famous catchphrase, “Sanasa,” from their days on The Simple Life.

Details of the series have not yet been revealed, but the new show will reportedly not be an exact duplicate of The Simple Life, though it will star the pair together, TMZ reports. Speculation regarding a potential reunion first sparked on Wednesday, when Richie, 42, shared a collage of photos of herself and Hilton, 43, from different points in their life dating all the way back to childhood.

“From Day 1: Sill and Bill” Richie captioned the post. In the comments, Hilton remarked, “Sanasaaaa ????????????.”

The Simple Life — which ran for five seasons from 2003 to 2007 — followed Hilton and Richie as they tried to do different jobs, including working on a farm, as waitresses, and various other tasks that they were unfamiliar with. The show hit a speedbump when the pair had a falling out in 2005, which led to it being canceled by Fox. However, it was picked up by E! where it aired for two more seasons.

Richie previously expressed her deep connection with Hilton on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in 2014, stating, “Paris is somebody that’s been in my life since day one. An idea of a true friend is somebody that’s going to be there for you through and through.”

Despite not having spoken in a while, Richie emphasized their strong friendship, stating, “I haven’t spoken to [Paris] in a while, but we are very good friends, and I love her and love her family, and have a lot of respect for her.”

[From ET Online]

I don’t know, guys. I’m sure there’s a market for this somewhere but I’m not sure who is clamoring for another Paris/Nicole reality TV show, especially if it is just a sequel of The Simple Life in a different setting. Do you think they’re trying to get a piece of the Real Housewives or Kardashian market share? Because I don’t think the people who were rooting for Ke Huy Quan’s, Brendan Fraiser’s, or even Lindsay Lohan’s comebacks are holding up “Bring Back Paris and Nicole” banners, but what do I know. Paris already has Paris in Love, a reality TV show based on her personal life. Will she be replacing that one with this one, with the two of them focusing more on mom life? What other kind of reality TV show could they do? I feel like their dynamic and vibe in The Simple Life was reflective of that era and if they can’t come up with something new and different that’s updated with the times, they just should let it rest.

Babies Carter Reum Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton shares first photos of ten-month-old baby daughter London

Paris Hilton welcomed her second child, daughter London, back in November. London was born via surrogacy just 10 months after her big brother, Phoenix. And just like with Phoenix, Paris and husband Carter Reum kept her existence a secret from everyone, including her family, until after she was born. While we’ve seen pictures of adorable little Phoenix before, we’ve not been treated to a glimpse of London until now. Well, in honor of (US) Mother’s Day coming up and Paris’ newly-released song with Sia, the Hilton-Reums gave People the exclusive reveal of 5-month-old London’s pictures.

“With Mother’s Day around the corner, I couldn’t resist introducing the world to my baby girl London and sharing these precious moments of our family together,” Hilton tells PEOPLE. “Phoenix and London are everything to me, and I feel like the luckiest woman in the world to be married to the love of my life and have our beautiful family. We make the absolute best team, and my life finally feels complete.”

In honor of London’s big moment, Hilton is releasing her new song “FAME WON’T LOVE YOU” in collaboration with Sia.

“When I thought of how to introduce the world to London, I realized the perfect soundtrack to her introduction is my new song with Sia called “FAME WON’T LOVE YOU.” This is my message to my babies — I will always and forever love you and be here for you,” says the proud mom.

She went on to describe her songwriting process with Sia, saying that the two leaned into Hilton’s personal experiences.

“When Sia and I started creating music together, we talked a lot about my personal story of fame at a young age, the traumas I experienced in my teen years, the pressure the media can put on young women in particular, my journey into motherhood and building my family,” Hilton says. “One of the first songs Sia brought to me was this incredible track that really felt like it told my story.”

“I’m honored to have had the opportunity to collaborate on this song with the brilliant Sia, the extraordinarily talented writer/producer Greg Kurstin and their whole team. The message of the song rings so true to me,” the mom of two continues.

“All of the things I thought were going to make me happy – celebrity, fame, followers, beauty – can often leave you feeling empty and lonely. What has brought me really deep fulfillment has been becoming a mother, building a family with Carter and deepening my relationships with my family and friends.”

Earlier this month, Hilton revealed why she hadn’t shown her daughter’s face yet, responding to a fan who commented on one of her TikToks of her son Phoenix. One viewer expressed how cute Phoenix is and said she couldn’t wait until Hilton felt safe enough to show her daughter London.

“????????love you, soon ????,” the mom of two responded to the commenter.

The weekend prior, Hilton posted a series of photos from her Easter celebrations with her family of four, posing on the stairs with Phoenix as they were surrounded by toy bunnies. In the comments, fans expressed similar sentiments, saying how cute Phoenix is and that they couldn’t wait to see London. Reum responded to one of the user’s comments, saying that the couple wasn’t ready to share their daughter with the world yet.

“Not quite ready to share her w the world but she’s adorable and looks just like her mamma ❤❤,” Reum wrote.

[From People]

LMAO, I love that they pretended like they weren’t ready to share pictures of London for any reason other than they were holding out for an exclusive payday. That’s so old school. Little London is super cute, though. That little hair bow and the tutu! I have two boys, so forgive me when I get all gushy over little girl clothing, haha. I do think that it’s too soon to really tell who London looks like. I can see some of Paris in her, but time will tell. Phoenix, however, looks so much like Paris. They have the same eyes and smile. Kids’ faces change so much as they grow and can sometimes look like a different parent as they mature. The face may change, but those eyes always stay the same!

As for Paris’ song with Sia, I listened to it so you didn’t have to. I mean, while it’s no “Stars Are Blind,” it’s…fine. Paris doesn’t have a writing credit on it, but I can see how the overall lyrics and theme is based on her experiences. She sings a verse in the middle and then duets a bridge and chorus with Sia. Whoever was in charge of mastering her vocals did a pretty good job, too. It doesn’t even sound like the same singer as her earlier stuff. Ah, you know what? Here you go, a little present to kick off the week:

Hiltons Homophobic Paris Hilton

Hilton hotels targeted by ultra conservative group offended by Paris Hilton’s commercial

Paris Hilton has people up in arms, and it’s not even about her plans to release new music! Ultra conservative group One Million Moms has just discovered a Hilton Hotels & Resorts commercial from last October that Paris starred in, and the group is steaming mad that the hotel chain is promoting a gay agenda. Their evidence? Everyone in the ad is wearing pink! Do you think One Million Moms is even aware that Paris has the stereotypical “perfect” family: a husband, baby boy, and baby girl? Welp, doesn’t matter. The group is so deeply offended by Hilton hotels “forcing” the LGBTQ lifestyle on children and families that they were left with no option but to start a Facebook petition:

The commercial features a bunch of people in pink suits and dresses saying things like [deep sigh] “Hilton Honors slays” and “All these perks. We’re sliving.” The latter is of course, a reference to Paris Hilton’s portmanteau of “slay” and “living” — and yes, the Hilton heiress herself makes an appearance, with a signature “That’s hot.” (It’s also worth noting that “slay,” like much of what we consider to be LGBTQ slang and culture, comes from Black and Latine ballroom communities.)

Last week, One Million Moms — a subsidiary of the Southern Poverty Law Center-designated hate group American Family Association — posted a petition against the commercial to its Facebook page. The text of the petition claims that “Hilton is attempting to normalize the LGBTQ lifestyle with its liberal advertising choices.”

“The hotel chain is obviously pushing the LGBTQ agenda with this commercial, which depicts individuals, couples, and families, all in obviously gender-confused roles,” the petition reads, adding that “the ad features actors portraying multiple homosexual and transgender characters.”

So far, over 11,000 people have signed the petition, which also includes a message directly to the Hilton itself, stating, “I am not buying into your social agenda that pushes the gay lifestyle. Your commercial featuring a homosexual couple and men in drag offends me, and it also offends many other conservative consumers. I disagree with the LGBTQ agenda you are forcing on families and children.” It’s unclear where the supposed men in drag are, considering that the ad features more masc individuals in suits and more femme individuals in dresses. But we digress.

[From Them]

Oh good grief. Not only are these people bigoted homophobes, they’ve also completely misunderstood the premise of the ad. The point isn’t that the men are in drag — which they’re not, for what it’s worth; they’re in pink suits with (gasp!) long-haired wigs. Except for two men who are in pink tracksuits instead, and who must be the “homosexual couple” One Million Moms cites, even though all we see is them standing next to each other for about two seconds out of the 30 second ad. But again, the point isn’t to make these men feminine. The joke underpinning the whole thing is that everyone is Paris! Every pink-clad person is a Paris, with deadpan one liners to boot! There is indeed confusion afoot, just not about gender (at least not in the commercial).

Now after having viewed the ad on a loop all I can think about is the opening number to Funny Face. The first time I saw the movie, one of my mother’s gay best friends prefaced it by telling me “the song you are about to hear is the gay national anthem.” Say it with me now: Think Pink!

Paris Hilton wore Reem Acra to the Grammys and said she’s working on new music

Paris Hilton’s ability to just hustle and be herself really floors me. I’ve been impressed with her staying power, I’ll say that. Paris told Laverne Cox that she’s working on new music coming out this summer. Stars are Blind wasn’t bad, but was anyone wondering whether Paris would work on music again after nearly 20 years? That fact is kind of a testament to her whole career (and to mine, I guess it takes one to know one). How much do you want to bet that she works the word “sliving” into her upcoming single?

Paris was in a mermaid-look Reem Acra gown with beaded aqua netting and side cutouts. It’s pretty and very Paris, she’s consistent.

Kat Graham was in this wild Stephane Rolland gown that is giving sexy 60s nun. It’s not cutout to that extreme – those are nude-colored panels. She’s a trip, this is fun for the Grammys.

Nominee Jordin Sparks was in a black Zigman corset gown with a side train. This looks fug in photos but I liked it on camera, maybe because of her personality. She was there with her husband, Dana Isaiah. They are so cute together!

Chrissy Teigen wore this goofy looking Sophie Couture gown that looks like a Project Runway last minute backup. I wonder if there’s a story behind this look involving an obligation. Does she think this looks good or is she just trying to make the best of it?

Babies Carter Reum Hiltons Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton welcomes a second baby, daughter London

In January 2023, Paris Hilton made headlines for welcoming a baby boy named Phoenix Barron via surrogacy. Paris had kept the pregnancy a secret from everyone, including her family. Well, from everyone except her producers and camera crew, of course. Little Phoenix’s debut and introduction to his maternal family will be featured prominently in season 2 of Peacock’s Paris in Love. On Thanksgiving, Paris revealed that she had done it again. This time, she and husband Carter Reum welcomed Paris’ long-awaited baby girl, named London.

On Thursday, Paris, who is already mom to a little boy named Phoenix, shared a series of heartwarming social media posts announcing the birth of her second baby with husband Carter Reum. In one of her TikTok videos, Paris can be heard asking her young family members, “You guys excited for your new cousin?” before telling them, “I have two babies.”

The comments were immediately flooded with congratulatory messages from fans, one of which read, “OMG ANOTHER BABY!!!! A GIRL SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!”

Paris quickly entered the conversation herself, replying to the above comment, “My princess has arrived!”

In another two videos, Paris wrote that she was celebrating Phoenix being a “big brother.” She and Carter welcomed the little boy via surrogate earlier this year in January, and prior to his birth, she’d been super open about her “tough” IVF experience.

Meanwhile, over on Instagram, Paris announced the name and sex of her new child by sharing a sweet photo of a pink baby outfit with the word “London” printed across. “Thankful for my baby girl,” she wrote in the caption.

[From Buzzfeed]

Honestly, I don’t hate it when people do “themed” names for their children, so I think it’s cute that she stuck with the city theme and named her daughter London. It’s a pretty name, too. Paris has been telling people for years that London was her “girl name” if she ever had a daughter. In an interview last year, she said that her future daughter’s name would be “London Marilyn Hilton Reum.” Marilyn is her paternal grandmother’s name, the wife of Barron, who inspired Phoenix’s middle name. Both of my children have middle names that honor a grandfather on each side, so I’m also a sucker for family names. I wonder what city-themed names Paris will use in the future. Vienna? Milan? Dallas? Aaaand I’ll stop myself there before I go down a rabbit hole. Congrats to Paris on finally getting her little girl named London. I’m looking forward to the many awkward Instagram poses to come.
