Pippa Middleton angered her neighbors with her tacky & noisy house party

For years, I’ve been aghast at the tackiness of the Middleton family. They really have no social graces, they have terrible fashion, the mother is always drunk, they play stupid games with the tabloids, they’re up to their eyeballs in debt, they screwed over small businesses and their own vendors, the brother’s dog-memoir sounded like it was written by an illiterate palace lackey, and to top it all off, they’re inconsiderate neighbors. That’s right, Pippa Middleton and her terribly moderately wealthy husband have alienated their posh neighbors with a gauche and noisy display. It turns out Terribly Moderately Wealthy James Matthews recently turned 50 years old, so his wife Pippa arranged for a very loud exhibition for his birthday party.

The future Queen’s sister Pippa Middleton has caused uproar in her village after she threw a wild 50th birthday party for her billionaire husband, James Matthews, I can reveal. Furious neighbours in her sleepy Berkshire village berated the Princess of Wales’s sister for her ‘entitled’ and ‘inconsiderate’ behaviour that kept them awake into the small hours.

I’m told the noise began in the afternoon with an elaborate Spitfire display over the grand house, much to the dismay of locals who were ‘concerned’ that the roar of the engines would upset their dogs.

‘I thought this might happen when Pippa moved in. People with money,’ one fed-up local tells me. Another claims that the boisterous party disturbed them until 1.30am with music booming from the 145-acre estate last Saturday night.

‘It’s common courtesy and respect,’ continues another. ‘There are a lot of very nice people who have a lot of money, but this is about entitlement. I’m a night owl and I do like parties but I’m also aware of others. They could easily have had a silent disco.’

I hear the party’s theme was ‘racy’, which could have been a nod to hedge fund financier James’s dalliance with Formula One. It was rumoured former boss of Red Bull F1, Christian Horner, and wife Geri Halliwell were among the guests, as well as James’s brother Spencer and wife Vogue Williams. It’s thought Pippa’s sister Kate and Prince William were also there.

[From The Daily Mail]

If I wanted to give Pippa and TMW James the benefit of the doubt, I would say that a noisy Spitfire flyover in the middle of the afternoon is preferable to one in the evening. Still, I’m sure the local dogs were upset, and hiring a Spitfire flyover is utterly bizarre, in general. What I don’t get is the property is grand, with 145 acres, as Richard Eden says. How loud was the music if it carried over all that distance? Is the Middleton-Matthews estate in a valley with an echo or something? It also sounds like Pippa was far too grand to invite her neighbors to the party and THAT is the root of the problem – sour grapes over not being invited. As for William and Kate’s attendance… I just looked up TMW James’s birthday – August 21. When was the party? Was it right after the Keens returned from their grim trip to Balmoral, when Charles didn’t even speak to them or see them? LMAO.

Pippa Middleton plans to open a nursery on her Bucklebury estate

One of my favorite things about Pippa Middleton is that she lives a much happier life than her sister and she makes sure everyone knows it. Pippa married a guy (Terribly Moderately Wealthy James Matthews) who seems to adore her and support everything she does. Pippa lives in a big mansion on a large estate in Berkshire. Pippa has the money (her husband’s money) to develop the property and turn it into a side-business (however unsuccessful). Pippa does charity work because she wants to, and she gets to enjoy a mostly private life otherwise. Hilariously, Pippa is also interested in early-childhood development, just like Kate. But unlike Kate, Pippa actually went back to school and got her master’s in early-childhood physical education. Speaking of, Pippa now plans to start a nursery school on her extensive Bucklebury property.

Pippa Middleton is following in her sister Kate’s footsteps with her new childcare venture, it has been revealed. The sister of the Princess of Wales, 41, and her husband, hedge-fund manager James Matthews, 49, have overcome backlash to open a nursery at their Buckleberry Farm in Berkshire. Pippa and James came under fire after revealing their plans earlier this year when highway bosses voiced concerns that the countryside creche would result in too much traffic in the surrounding area.

Despite the complaints, the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden revealed that the couple have received the green light to establish a nursery at the farm, which the council claimed will deliver ‘strong social benefits’, noting the local shortage of ‘early years places’.

Pippa’s upcoming opening is aligned with Kate’s Early Childhood work, a project described as her ‘life’s work’ that seeks to positively impact children in their formative years. Now, her younger sister has also revealed an interest in the area by growing Buckleberry Farm into a place where young people can access education.

Pippa and James snapped up 72 sprawling acres of land in leafy Berkshire for just £1.5million in 2020 – in a village where a detached house with a garden already costs close to that price. The rolling fields, which had a ‘wedding tractor’ to celebrate the Prince and Princess of Wales’s marriage in 2010, is currently home to a 44-acre deer park, café, glamping pods and children’s play area. Bucklebury Farm’s petting zoo was also said to be a favourite of young Prince George when he visited his grandparents. However, Pippa and James came under fire from highway bosses after revealing their plans to build a countryside creche.

[From The Daily Mail]

I’ll save you from the Mail’s overwrought reporting on Bucklebury’s planning committee – basically, the argument against the nursery school was that it would disrupt a weird parking situation in the area. The strongest argument for a nursery school was that this would be available even on regular school holidays and that there are very few nurseries within a five-mile radius. Obviously, the community ended up agreeing with Pippa and TMW James that a nursery in the area would be a good thing and much-needed, even if the parking situation might get stressful. Just so we’re clear… the princess with endless resources and a global platform is doing early-years busywork with animation and her commoner sister actually got a Master’s degree and is now opening a nursery school.

Pippa Middleton & the Middleton fam supported Kate’s ‘Together at Christmas’

Before Friday, we hadn’t seen Carole and Michael Middleton since Wimbledon back in July. They really can disappear for months at a time and the whole thing has gotten so mysterious. More than anything, the messy situation with the Middletons has convinced me that some serious sh-t has gone down in the past year and a half. The Middletons’ business collapsed last year, they practically went into hiding, the royalist press published many highly critical articles about their grift, and then magically, it was all forgotten in May/June of this year. Carole got sh-thoused at Royal Ascot AND got photo-ops with Prince William and various royals. Then she was seated in the Royal Box at Wimbledon. A deal was struck and the biggest “tell” is that no one in the British media is talking about the Party Pieces lies and catastrophes.

So Carole and Michael Middleton came out on Friday for the Princess of Wales’s Together at Christmas event. The whole Middleton clan was there – Pippa, James Middleton and James’s wife Alizee. The only one missing was Pippa’s terribly moderately wealthy husband. TMW James Matthews went to last year’s event. I wonder why he skipped this year. A professional separation, perchance??

I actually like what Pippa wore – a bouclé coat-dress from Karen Millen, paired with red pumps and a red clutch. The dress is very “ladies who lunch,” but Pippa really is a lady who lunches. Alizee wore a midnight-blue velvet pantsuit with a white pussybow blouse. It’s sort of offbeat but fine. Carole wore a clean white coat and her hair seems to be a few shades darker these days. I would love to know how she fills her days.

Meanwhile, something really bizarre happened. At one point, Carole walked side-by-side with Lady Gabriella Windsor. Now, Gabriella is reportedly close to Prince William, and you could make the argument that maybe Gabriella gets along with the Middletons. But what was bizarre about it is… Gabriella’s parents were at the event too. Why was she hanging with Carole and not Princess Michael of Kent? Why did Gabriella and Carole make a point of walking out together??

Mail: Remember when the Middletons were insecure about Meghan Markle in 2017?

Over the weekend, the Daily Mail leaned into the fact that they’re not going to say one thing about the Princess of Wales’s disappearing act, nor will they discuss Prince William’s increasingly odd/creepy makeover. Instead, they’re going all-in on their years-long strategy of just screaming and crying about the Duchess of Sussex. The thing is, Meghan isn’t giving them much. She’s been making some quiet, low-key appearances here and there. She’s investing in female-owned businesses. She’s probably prepping her cooking show and her American Riviera Orchard line. So what can the Mail do with that? A whole lotta nothing. So they decided to dust off a storyline which is over seven years old.

For what it’s worth, I guess relatively new Sussex fans might not remember this vital part of the Sussex mythology, but in 2017, the Middletons freaked the f–k out about Prince Harry potentially bringing his beautiful American girlfriend to Pippa Middleton’s Bucklebury wedding. I still believe that this was the start of the Middletons doing way too much around Harry’s relationship with Meghan. Ahead of Pippa’s May 2017 wedding, the Middletons were openly briefing the Mail, the Mirror and everyone else about how Harry shouldn’t bring Meghan to the wedding. They devised what they thought was a clever ruse: “no ring, no bring.” The rule only applied to Meghan. Behold, the Mail’s top royal story on Saturday: “Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s excitement at attending Pippa Middleton’s wedding together was short-lived after they discovered the bride’s unusual request.”

Not yet engaged and less than a year into their relationship, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were set to enjoy Pippa Middleton’s wedding reception in each other’s company. But the Princess of Wales’s younger sister had other ideas – with a strict seating plan that separated every couple in attendance.

It meant that instead of spending the evening together as a new couple, Harry was sat with ITV News at Ten presenter Tom Bradby while Meghan dined with Roger Federer’s wife Mirka. Guests enjoyed a meal of trout and lamb at the 2017 nuptials of Pippa and hedge fund manager James Matthews, washed down with ‘2002 Dom Ruinart Champagne’, according to Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand’s biography of the Sussexes, Finding Freedom.

‘Sitting together in the custom glass marquee that had been erected on the 18-acre property should have been a fun night for the couple, but, per Pippa’s request, no couples sat together,’ they wrote. Harry and Meghan, who was still new to royal circles at the time, reunited near the dance floor after the meal. And while ‘the old Harry would have certainly closed at the bash with the rest of his friends’, Mr Scobie and Ms Durand note that the then 32-year-old prince instead spent the remainder of the evening catching up with his girlfriend.

The seating chart was not the only challenge faced by the pair that day, with Meghan absent from the ceremony at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield, West Berkshire. Pippa and her mother, Carole Middleton, apparently shared concerns that the presence of the royal couple might overshadow the big day. The future Duke and Duchess of Sussex eventually agreed it would be best for Meghan to avoid the church and media.

The authors of Finding Freedom say that Harry and Meghan then came up with a plan which saw them drive out to Berkshire on the day of the wedding. Meghan stayed in an Airbnb that a close friend had rented on her behalf while Harry attended the service in Englefield. Meghan did her own makeup and put on a black dress before Harry returned to the Airbnb for a spot of lunch with his partner. He then drove them both to the reception at the Middleton’s Bucklebury home.

[From The Daily Mail]

What was the purpose of this trip down memory lane? The Mail included no new information, unless you count “Pippa and her mother, Carole Middleton, apparently shared concerns that the presence of the royal couple might overshadow the big day” as new info. Carole was practically calling up the Mail every day in 2017 to share her concerns about Meghan doing this or that, so no, it’s not news that Pippa and Carole basically told Harry that his girlfriend couldn’t come to the wedding. I always sort of wished that Harry had told the Middletons to go f–k themselves with this drama. It’s one thing for a bride to say “no kids at my wedding.” It’s quite another to say “no prince can bring his Black American girlfriend.” Harry should have called their bluff – they obviously wanted him to come, but they were trying to badger him in the press to leave Meghan in London. He should have just said “we’re skipping the wedding, congrats to Pippa or whatever her name is.”

I genuinely fear that the purpose of this piece was to say “Meghan is the worst, she didn’t let Harry party with his friends!” But it’s just reminding everyone that the Middletons are classless, tacky and that they were intensely insecure about Meghan from the start.

Pippa Middleton’s neighbors are mad because she closed down a common-use trail

Pippa Middleton and her Terribly Moderately Wealthy husband James Matthews now live primarily in Berkshire, just a short distance away from Pippa’s parents. Pippa and TMW James used to live in London, but I believe they sold their townhouse and relocated to the country, where they purchased a grand £15 million estate. They’ve done a lot of renovations to the house and the property, and they’ve invested in other commercial real estate in the area too, including a petting zoo and some sort of posh glamping venue. But this is about their private estate, which includes 145 acres. Apparently, Pippa and TMW James don’t want peasants to use their footpath, even though the footpath has been commonly used for decades.

Pippa Middleton and her husband are at the centre of a village row over the use of a footpath at their £15million estate. The Princess of Wales’s sister and finance tycoon James Matthews moved their young family into the 145-acre country pile in West Berkshire two years ago.

The estate was previously owned by late design tycoon Sir Terence Conran, who allowed locals to use a country lane leading up to the Georgian mansion’s private drive. However Ms Middleton and her husband have decided to close off the lane to walkers, with signs warning ‘Private: No Public Access’ and ‘No Trespassing’ appearing around the estate. One villager told The Mail on Sunday that the couple’s decision to block the pathway was ‘outrageous’.

He added: ‘I like to walk, and I don’t see why I can’t walk there. I have been walking along there for 50 years. When Sir Terence had it, he had no objections. I think we should have a right to roam. These people seem to be overprotective of their property. I don’t think it is right. We are quiet villagers. We don’t have vandalism around here. With all the notices stuck up, it feels like us and them.’

Another villager said: ‘I think it is a shame. It is a lovely walk. Although it wasn’t officially a footpath, Sir Terence didn’t have any objections. He was very nice. Everyone liked him. He was quite involved in the village. It feels they are depriving the village of an amenity. People might get the impression they are throwing their weight around.’

Through his estate manager, Mr Matthews submitted a Highway Declaration Notice to West Berkshire Council in March marking out his private territory. It made it clear that the road previously used by locals is off limits. Eugene Futcher, chairman of the West Berkshire Ramblers, has launched a counter application, seeking to have the driveway declared a public right of way. The council is expected to reach a decision next year but, as landowners, the Matthews family are allowed to impose their own restrictions until then.

However some villagers have expressed their support for the couple, with one business owner saying: ‘The public assume it is a right of way. It has never been a right of way. They were always allowed to walk it by the previous landowner but now it’s owned by somebody else. [The Matthews] have just exercised their right.’

They added: ‘Ramblers are narrow-minded people who don’t have anything and don’t want other people to have anything. It is jealousy. If it was their house or garden, would they want anybody to walk through it?’ Mr Matthews was approached for comment.

[From The Daily Mail]

Don’t get me wrong, we have these kinds of disputes here in America, but they’re really common in the UK. In America, the signs would go up and people would shrug and say “okay, well that’s they’re property after all.” But in the UK, people feel entitled to what they always saw as their right to walk on privately owned land. In the UK, Pippa is seen as haughty and bougie for this. Of course, maybe the answer is less privately-held land and more public parks and publicly owned trails? Maybe there shouldn’t be a vast real estate network owned by the crown and the Duchy of Cornwall?

Pippa Middleton didn’t even get to meet Carlos Alcaraz during ‘awkward’ moment

Two Sundays ago, the Princess of Wales attended the Wimbledon men’s singles final with her daughter Princess Charlotte and her sister Pippa Middleton (Matthews). The final was mercifully short, with Carlos Alcaraz swiftly (and perhaps mercilessly) beating the sh-t out of Novak Djokovic, who came to Wimbledon just a few weeks after a knee surgery.

Kate presented the men’s trophy to Alcaraz on court, then she quickly went back to the Royal Box/reception area so that she could once again greet Alcaraz. This is what happens when you win a Wimbledon singles title – you get to bring the trophy or the Venus Rosewater Dish to the exclusive “Royal Box” reception area and speak to not only the royals in attendance, but the celebrities and VIPs as well. In the olden days, it was more of a reception line and all of the VIPs got to shake hands with the winners and congratulate them. At some point, they stopped doing that and the VIPs were sort of roped off from Kate, as she wanted to dominate her time with the winners. That’s exactly what she did – she short-stopped Alcaraz as soon as he came into the room and she started babbling at him as he tried to acknowledge Charlotte and some of the other people in the area. Then something funny happened. Kate, oblivious to the fact that Alcaraz wanted to keep it moving, tried to introduce Carlos to Pippa. But he was already done with it:

This “awkward moment” has been gaining some steam over the past week, as the British tabloids struggle to find additional angles to cover with Kate’s Wimbledon appearance. They’re calling this an awkward moment for Pippa, but really, Kate is the one who screwed up. She rushed at Carlos and stopped him before the Wimbledon/BBC cameraman could even get up the stairs, which is why we’re looking at the back of Carlos’ head at the start of the video. Carlos is doing better with his English, but he still needs a lot repeated and Kate was babbling incoherently at him about how she watches him “on the telly.” She could have been gracious and said “congratulations again, here’s my daughter and my sister, they’ve been dying to say hola to you!” The legend Rod Laver was also waiting back there to speak to Carlos, as was Stefan Edberg and Stan Smith. They didn’t even get to say “atta boy” to Carlos because someone (who knows who!) insisted on roping off a special area so Kate could mumble and preen for the cameras.

Something else funny: Carlos Alcaraz is a huge fan of Suits. He’s tweeted about it before and mentioned that it’s one of his favorite shows. LMAO.

Ooops that was awkward, Kate tried to sermon the Wimbledon champion to introduce her sister ???????? who kindly just walked on & they started clapping awkwardly to save face???????? Now just imagine if that was Meghan ????????‍♀️ pic.twitter.com/y1owaxNj91

Princess Kate wore Safiyaa to Wimbledon for her second event of the year

As we previewed/updated on Sunday, the Princess of Wales attended the Wimbledon men’s final. This was her sole appearance at Wimbledon throughout the fortnight, and she announced her attendance the day before, just ahead of the women’s final. Kate did not attend the women’s final nor did she even congratulate Barbora Krejčíková or Jasmine Paolini on Saturday (although she did speak to Barbie on Sunday). Kate really doesn’t care for women’s tennis, she only showed up to the women’s finals in past years because she likes being the center of attention at the trophy presentations.

Sunday’s outing was only her second public appearance of the year. Kate was last seen at Trooping the Colour in June, and her appearance on Sunday was mostly unchanged. If anything, I’m pretty sure that Kate just upped her Botox recently and maybe added some fillers. Her eyes looked especially tired, for what it’s worth. Her purple dress is from Safiyaa, a label which the Duchess of Sussex wore several notable times. I honestly thought it was Emilia Wickstead, because it has the same silhouette and vibe of about a dozen Wickstead dresses already in Kate’s closet.

Kate was joined at Wimbledon with Princess Charlotte and Pippa Middleton (Matthews). This was actually the second time Pippa attended Wimbledon during the fortnight – she also attended the men’s semifinals on Friday. Kate hasn’t attended the championships with Pippa since 2019, which was when the Duchess of Sussex was there too. While I’m sure there was a lot of conversation and hand-wringing among the courtiers about what it would mean for Charlotte to attend, but at the end of the day, Charlotte is a Carlos Alcaraz super-fan and she was probably begging her mom to go.

Kate got a standing ovation and after the match, Charlotte got to meet Carlos again. Charlotte really is Alcaraz’s biggest fan.
