As Kismet covered, the all-female Blue Origin flight happened yesterday. I was surprised by how many people paid attention to it, especially given Katy Perry’s presence. Katy can’t buy an audience these days, you know? But Gayle King was on the flight and Oprah watched from the ground, so that also got attention. As it turns out, this “historic moment” for space travel is also a historic moment for celebrities daring to criticize Jeff Bezos, Blue Origin and this all-woman crew. Olivia Wilde was one of the celebrities loudly rolling her eyes at this:

Olivia Wilde has a few choice words about Blue Origin’s first all-female flight crew making their way to the edge of space. Shortly after the New Shepard rocket returned from its round-trip expedition on Monday, April 14, the actress shared a meme on her Instagram Stories featuring two photographs of Katy Perry as she exited the capsule upon returning to Earth.

One of the images showed Perry holding up a daisy as she smiled from ear to ear while walking outside. The singer took a small daisy into space with her as a tribute to her daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, whom she shares with Orlando Bloom. The other showed the performer kissing the ground after stepping down a few steps. On top of the two photos was a text that read, “getting off a commercial flight in 2025 #BlueOrigin.”

Wilde shared the meme with the message, “Billion dollars bought some good memes, I guess.”

Before Monday’s takeoff, others criticized the mission, including Olivia Munn, who questioned its need while co-hosting the April 3 episode of Today with Jenna and Friends. Tuesday’s mission was the 11th human flight for the New Shepard program and the 31st in its history.

“I know this probably isn’t the cool thing to say. But there are so many other things that are so important in the world right now,” she said per Page Six. Also criticizing the mission was Emily Ratajkowski, who said in a TikTok on Monday afternoon, “That’s end time s—. Like, this is beyond parody.”

When asked about the overall criticism by PEOPLE in a press conference, King said that in her eyes, “anybody that’s criticizing it doesn’t really understand what is happening here.”

“We can all speak to the response we’re getting from young women from young girls about what this represents,” she added. Sánchez chimed in, saying, “I get really fired up. I would love to have them come to Blue Origin and see the thousands of employees that don’t just work here but they put their heart and soul into this vehicle. They love their work and they love the mission and it’s a big deal for them.”

Katja Herbers is a Dutch actress who lives and works in America. You might have seen her on Westworld or CBS’s Evil or The Americans. Well, last week, she had some thoughts about Taylor Swift’s new romance with football player Travis Kelce. She tweeted:

It was funny and I retweeted it last week, as did thousands of other people. In my opinion, it was not a “diss” on Taylor Swift, but it was a wry observation about the selective obsessions of Taylor Swift’s fans, and how the Snake Fam is, in my estimation, the largest investigative body in the world. If Taylor dated a climate scientist, suddenly Taylor’s legion of fans around the world would care deeply about fossil fuels, green technology, windmills, solar power, hybrid vehicles and conservation.

Well, I don’t know if Olivia Wilde felt the same way, but she ended up posting Herbers’ tweet on her IG Stories. Now there’s a conversation about Olivia was being shady about Taylor’s romance with Travis. Added bonus: Taylor dated Harry Styles, then he dumped Taylor and years later, Harry was the reason why Olivia and Jason Sudeikis split. Anyway, the Swifties were dissecting Olivia’s motives and such, meanwhile Katja Herbers was like “yes, talk about climate science while you’re gossiping!!”

Even with the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes still ongoing, it feels like so much is happening – the Venice Film Festival closed this past weekend, the Toronto Film Festival started several days ago, and New York Fashion Week is super-star-studded. The Michael Kors show is always a popular ticket during NYFW, and the star of the Kors show is inevitably Blake Lively. Blake is all about Kors and she almost always comes out for his runway shows.

He usually gives her something from his new collection too, which explains why Blake wore this Michael Kors bellbottom jumpsuit. Thoughts? I don’t hate it, although I wonder if the jumpsuit would be better with a simple flared leg rather than full bellbottom. The golden shade complements Blake’s coloring and I love her curly hair and the overall ‘70s vibe. While I think Blake generally has a Mall Girl aesthetic, she actually pulls off some generational vintage-style fashion.

Here’s Jenna Dewan at the Kors show… I only love the coat here. I would wear the hell out of that coat.

Kelsea Ballerini – loathe the sunglasses, dislike the “high fashion fanny pack” energy.

Olivia Wilde – god help me, but I love this outfit. Great coat, great boots, amazing knits. I don’t even mind the fringed purse.

Ellen Pompeo kind of got the worst Kors outfit.

I had an instinctive dislike towards Olivia Wilde when I first learned about her ten years ago. I couldn’t figure out why. I wanted to root for her. But the more we’ve learned about her in recent years, the more I feel that my dislike was justified. Last year the drama around Don’t Worry Darling eclipsed the film itself and likely contributed to her breakup with Harry Styles. The drama was mostly created by Olivia herself and her willingness to throw Florence Pugh under the bus for her own unprofessional behavior. It was a spectacular act of self-sabotage. So when I saw the story that she wore white to a friend’s wedding, I immediately thought, yeah, that tracks. It turns out it was for a wedding of two grooms, so there wasn’t a bride, but still, it’s tacky:

The Booksmart director cheekily broke two style rules to celebrate friend Jordan C. Brown and Colton Underwood’s nuptials on May 13 in Napa Valley, Calif. While attending the couple’s romantic ceremony, Olivia not only wore white—traditionally, a huge no-no—but she also donned an actual bridal gown.

“Wore a wedding dress to a wedding,” she captioned her Instagram Stories on May 14, “just so I could make a joke about it in my toast.”


And for extra clarity, the Don’t Worry Darling director explained that her outfit wasn’t exactly a fashion faux pas. “The grooms approved,” she confirmed in a separate post, alongside a photo of her hugging and smiling with the newlyweds.

This is peak “pick me” behavior. Wearing a wedding dress to a wedding that’s not your own, even if there won’t be a bride wearing a white dress, is just attention-seeking. Let the grooms have their moment in the spotlight, it’s their day. It’s not about you, Olivia. Good Lord. When I fantasize about getting married (to my imaginary boyfriend, Adam Driver, who is sadly unavailable), I actually don’t see myself in white. For a long time I’ve wanted to get married in a soft seashell pink. It works better with my coloring. But if I saw someone else wear white to MY wedding I would have them thrown out. Because the visual language of weddings is so entrenched in our culture that anyone wearing white would immediately pull focus. And Olivia knows that. She can’t just be classy and wear a tasteful sage green or midnight blue?! It’s embarrassing.

What’s ironic is that the wedding dress she wore is super basic. From the pictures it looks like a backless, bias-cut gown in white satin that’s somewhat shapeless aside from seam detailing on the skirt portion. If you’re going to be tacky and break a taboo, then at least go full Scarlett O’Hara and pick something fabulous and jaw-dropping. If the dress were interesting I could at least respect it from a style perspective. But it’s a nothingburger of a dress.

Does anyone else think she maybe bought this “wedding dress” when she was still shacked up with Harry Styles and envisioning their life together across the pond? If she was ready to move to London, she was probably thinking about their eventual wedding day, right? I can just see the terror in Harry’s eyes as he discovers the garment bag in the closet. I’ll bet you anything the wedding menu would have featured her famous salad dressing.

Olivia Wilde claims Jason Sudeikis has paid her zero child support

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis were famously never married, although they were “engaged” for most of the years they were together. Their split has not been amicable though, because they have two children together and they’re engaged in a full-on war over everything about custody and child support. Jason’s side has argued that the kids were born in New York, Jason wants to live in New York and the NYC courts should determine everything. Olivia’s side is that she currently lives in LA with the kids, she has the right to move the kids to London if she chooses to do so (although we haven’t heard much about that post-Harry Styles) and that Jason needs to come to her to have joint custody of the kids. It’s a mess. The LA family courts are going to have a hell of time untangling all of this, and it’s just gotten even more complicated – Olivia says that Jason hasn’t paid any child support.

Olivia Wilde claims Jason Sudeikis has paid her zero child support despite earning a “significantly superior” income. In court documents obtained by the Blast Tuesday, the “Don’t Worry Darling” star and director said she is now carrying “100% of the costs for the children’s care,” which includes food, clothing and extracurricular activities, while son Otis, 8, and daughter Daisy, 6, are with her. Wilde did, however, note that she and Sudeikis split their kids’ school tuition.

The “Booksmart” director requested the court order the “Ted Lasso” star to pay child support so that she can provide for their children “commensurate with Jason’s standard of living.” Wilde, 39, also wants Sudeikis, 47, to contribute to her attorney and accountant fees not only because the “Horrible Bosses” actor is in a financially “significantly superior” position but also because she is burning money as a result of “Jason and his counsel’s egregious, unnecessary and aggressive conduct.”

Using famed attorney Laura Wasser to represent her, Wilde is requesting $500,000 from Sudeikis and for him to pay child support retroactive to the date which she filed the case.

“Jason shares equal responsibility with Olivia for the support of their children, yet Olivia has borne the lion’s share of the expenses for their children since the pendency of this action,” the documents state, according to the outlet.

Wilde revealed her more-than-$10 million net worth in a previous legal filing as she accused Sudeikis of litigating her “into debt.” The documents also reportedly stated that the “House” alum has a monthly income of $71,667, but she reportedly spends $107,000 a month on her mortgage, laundry and cleaning and more.

In response to the court documents leaking, Wilde’s rep said in a statement to E! News, “The sealed and private documents that were leaked today are the utmost breach of trust and never intended for public consumption. This private family matter, involving young children, has continued to be a tabloid fixture and the press coverage dating back a year has been relentless and traumatic.”

It will be interesting to see if Jason’s side leaks anything about his response to Olivia in court. I strongly suspect his argument is that the kids are with him half the time, and he’s financially supporting them when they’re WITH him. But the California courts will disagree, even if Jason and Olivia are not married – they’re going to order him to pay up, unless he’s got some kind of legal argument yet to be revealed.

Now, I don’t think Jason should have to pay Olivia’s legal fees though – from what I’ve seen of this custodial fight, it’s just a standard-issue dispute between two actors who travel a lot for work and can’t agree on their homebase. Nothing Jason has done (in court) is particularly egregious. If anything, he’s been more eager to get his custodial rights locked down legally while Olivia seems to have believed that she could just do whatever and take the kids wherever she wanted. Also: ten bucks says that Olivia’s side leaked this to make him look like a deadbeat dad (which he is, if true).

Remember last year, when Olivia Wilde’s drama-queen persona became mainstream public knowledge? Perhaps many people knew for years that Wilde is a lying a–hole (I certainly did), but the chaos of the “Miss Flo” situation unfolding at the Venice Film Festival really took Olivia’s problematic nature mainstream. You would think someone would tell Olivia to just lay low and don’t cause any drama for, like, a year. Hope that people forget and move on. Well, she can’t do that. It’s not in her nature. Her nature is to center herself at all times, in every situation, even the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

So, Olivia watched the Halftime Show and she saw a visibly pregnant Rihanna perform her hits on a thin sheet of plexiglass up in the air. Olivia saw all that and decided to praise… ASAP Rocky, Rihanna’s partner. Don’t you understand, Olivia thought Rocky needed to be singled out and praised for “supporting” Rihanna. Here’s her creepy post on Instagram:

“If I thought he was hot before, this really put me over the edge,” she wrote, tagging Rihanna and ASAP Rocky. She deleted it a few hours later, then replaced it with this message: “For anyone who got it twisted… it’s hot to respect your partner, especially when your partner just did thaaaat.” I’m reminded of the time when she effusively praised Harry Styles for showing up to work – Olivia lavishes praise on men for doing the bare minimum, and she thinks nothing of tagging ASAP Rocky for merely… taking a photo of the mother of his child?? The bar is in hell.

Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles’s breakup was announced just two and a half weeks ago, although it feels like a lot longer. That’s because it was always pretty clear that their relationship wouldn’t significantly outlast the promotion for Don’t Worry Darling. Sure enough, Harry began to disentangle himself from Olivia in the weeks after DWD’s promo was done. The official word on the breakup (from Olivia’s publicist, I mean “sources”) was that everything was amicable and they’re still friends. Then People had an exclusive a week later about how Olivia was so “disappointed” about Harry’s immaturity or something. What was missing was Harry’s side and the NYDN thinks they have it:

Harry Styles may have broken up with Olivia Wilde because he was so unhappy with the negative press around their movie “Don’t Worry Darling.”

“He is a very positive, chilled-out person and constant stories about Florence Pugh and Wilde fighting drove him nuts,” said one source. “It kind of took the air out of their romance. Plus, he is not ready to play daddy to her kids with Jason Sudeikis.”

Managing the relationship with her and the kids was becoming a burden for the young actor, who became famous singing in the boy band One Direction.

“He feels she needs to settle her custody case and concentrate on her children,” said my source. “The age difference was starting to show its ugly fangs.”

Yeah, I buy that. I’ve said before that I don’t think Harry actually likes a lot of relationship drama, although his fans might disagree. The stuff with Olivia was a mess from the start, carrying on an affair with someone in a longtime partnership and two kids, then the messy split from Jason Sudeikis and the subsequent custody fight. Olivia was prepared to move full-time to London to be with Harry and she wanted to move the kids there permanently, and Jason was freaking out about it. The icing on the cake was the fact that Olivia lied constantly about Florence Pugh and that everyone took Miss Flo’s side. At the end of the day, it was pretty easy for Harry to cut his ties.
