A week ago, Jennifer Lopez was in Istanbul, Turkey for a stop on her international tour. Jennifer had some free time, so she went shopping at a high-end shopping center, Istinye Park. She apparently tried to enter the Chanel boutique, but a security guard prevented her from even entering the store. In all of the reporting with this story, absolutely no one has said that Jennifer’s behavior was weird or arrogant or anything. She basically just shrugged, said “no problem” and went shopping at several other stores. The Chanel employees realized who their security guard had turned away, and they found J.Lo and asked her to come shop at their store, but she refused. She still has not said one word about the incident on social media, her people haven’t issued a statement, nothing. But according to Rob Shuter (eyeroll), Chanel corporate is super-embarrassed that this happened.

According to Rob Shuter’s exclusive report, insiders are saying the incident is “deeply embarrassing” for Chanel. A source told the outlet that Lopez was “calm and gracious” throughout the interaction with the security personnel. Moreover, high-ranking individuals related to the Wertheimer family issued a private apology to the A-lister for her experience.

The insider claimed that the Chanel owners were “horrified” upon learning about the incident. The source added, “Jennifer Lopez is not just a celebrity — she’s a global brand. Turning her away wasn’t just rude. It was bad business.”

After the incident, Chanel’s staff members reportedly approached Lopez to invite her into the establishment. However, she not only declined their requests, but allegedly went on to spend “thousands of dollars” at rival fashion houses, namely Celine and Beymen. Sources claimed that this was her way to make a point. However, the insider clarified that Lopez had “no hard feelings over the incident.” They continued, “But make no mistake — the message was received. Loud and clear.”

As of this writing, Lopez and Chanel have yet to address the matter publicly. Sources, however, told Shuter that the French fashion brand preferred giving the singer a private apology over speaking about it openly.

I would imagine that Jennifer probably did get an apology from Chanel corporate, and probably some apologies from people associated with this particular shop. Again, she’s not going on some anti-Chanel crusade – she felt slighted, she spent her money elsewhere, and she kept it moving. My question is… should Chanel publicly apologize to her, or is that too much? It’s not like she was turned away by the ghost of Karl Lagerfeld himself, you know? It was just a rude security guard who didn’t recognize her. I think a private apology (if it happened) is probably sufficient.

Also: J.Lo wasn’t the only person to get poorly treated by Chanel security or staffers in the shop. According to Page Six, this particular store has terrible online reviews and tons of people have complained about the security guards.

Here are some photos of Jennifer Lopez last month, as she left Budapest and arrived in Italy. She’s been on a 19-city tour in Europe this summer, and this week, she was in Istanbul for another big concert. Apparently, she had time before her show to do some shopping at Istinye Park, which is a shopping mall full of upscale shops and boutiques. Jennifer tried to enter the Chanel boutique… but she was turned away. Oh nooooo.

Jennifer Lopez was reportedly refused entry into an international Chanel store — and had a surprising reaction. The A-lister was out shopping at Istanbul’s Istinye Park — one of the Turkish city’s upscale shopping malls — on Monday when she approached the Chanel store, according to Turkiye Today.

A security guard inside the boutique reportedly prevented Lopez from entering, which apparently didn’t phase her.

“OK, no problem,” the 56-year-old — who stood out in a baby pink set with matching sunglasses –reportedly responded calmly before walking away without reaction.

Later, the store’s employees reportedly approached the pop star with an invitation to come back, but she declined. Instead, she spent her time and money — reportedly totaling tens of thousands of dollars — at neighboring fashion houses like Celine and Beymen, according to the outlet.

Lopez is on a 19-stop summer tour titled “Up All Night” that began on July 8 in Vigo, Spain, and will conclude on Aug. 10 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The singer has gushed on Instagram after almost every show but has yet to post about her Aug. 5 performance in Istanbul. Her reps did not immediately respond Page Six’s request for comment.

That’s the way to react – not “don’t you know who I am?” Just calmly shrug it off and make sure you spend money in every other store. It sounds like the actual Chanel boutique employees quickly realized the security guard’s error though. You think he’ll be fired? How do you not recognize Jennifer Lopez? And even if you don’t recognize her, if you’re a security guard at an upscale boutique, you should be much better at sizing up customers. J.Lo absolutely looks like a wealthy westerner who will spend serious money at a Chanel boutique.

George Clooney & his terrible dye job went solo to the ‘Good Night’ opening

Last night was the big Broadway opening of Good Night and Good Luck, based on the film of the same name. In the George Clooney-directed film, David Strathairn memorably and brilliantly played Edward R. Murrow with all of the gravitas that the role demanded. On Broadway, Clooney has taken over the Murrow role. Clooney got the worst dye job ever to play Murrow – this is a Rudy Giuliani-level of bad dye jobs. Anyway, while Clooney has a place of honor on my permanent sh-tlist, other people feel differently and this show is getting good reviews. All of George’s BFFs came out for the opening too, although strangely, George’s wife was not there. George told People Mag that Amal was “with the kids.” Sounds like trouble in ratf–ker paradise to me.

There must have been a black-and-white dress code for the opening, because all of these celebrities did not decide to do this on their own. Jennifer Lopez had the biggest look of the night – a slinky black dress and a puffy white coat/cape by Saiid Kobeisy. Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber were there and they brought Kaia, who has known George all of her life basically. Julianna Margulies, Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye were also in attendance.

Congrats to Ben Affleck, he’s spent the better part of two weeks trying to get a public reaction out of Jennifer Lopez and he just got what he wanted. “Sources close to Jennifer Lopez” spoke to People Magazine about Ben getting handsy with Jennifer Garner at their son Samuel’s birthday party – as soon as those photos came out, Team Affleck went on a briefing spree about how Ben wants to get back with Garner, no he doesn’t want to get back with her but they’re still super-close, close in a way he will never be with J.Lo, and by the way, Garner’s boyfriend is mad about the photos too. Throughout all of Affleck’s melodramatic chaos-briefings, J.Lo has stayed quiet, but she finally gave in:

Jennifer Lopez has no negative feelings about recent photos of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner sharing a hug at their son Samuel’s birthday party. After photos of Affleck and Garner, both 52, surfaced showing the Accountant 2 actor wrapping his arms around her, a source tells PEOPLE that Lopez — who finalized her divorce from Affleck in January after two years of marriage — “isn’t bothered” by the pictures “at all.”

“Jennifer Garner knows what it is and knows what it is not. And people are reading into it in a way to create drama where there is none,” the source says.

According to the source, Lopez, 55, “doesn’t feel betrayed,” adding, “I think the two Jens are great admirers of the other, and I think they’re all co-parenting.”

“There is no animosity. They are friendly,” the source says, adding, “We’re always pitting women against women. In this case, it’s just not the truth.”

Garner and Affleck came together to celebrate their youngest child’s 13th birthday at a paintball party for Samuel on March 2, where they were seen sharing a laugh and hug.

“They have been on good terms for a while now and seem to enjoy chatting and hanging out,” one insider told PEOPLE of the former couple March 5. “Most of the time, the kids are around too.” That insider added that Affleck “usually acts happy around” Garner, who is currently dating John Miller, and said, “She doesn’t seem to mind. She seems to enjoy spending time with Ben,” with whom she shares three kids: Samuel, Violet, 19, and Seraphina, 16.

LMAO, this is coming from a SOURCE CLOSE TO J.LO: “Jennifer Garner knows what it is and knows what it is not.” As in, both Jennifers have Ben’s number. Both Jennifers know what’s up. Both Jennifers know what game Ben is playing. It makes me wonder if J.Lo called Garner and the conversation started with “can you believe this f–king guy?” Back when J.Lo was with Ben, they really tried to pit the two Jennifers against one another, but I remember also hearing that Garner was happy for them because she believed that J.Lo would help keep Ben out of her hair, and help keep him clean and sober. I do think that the two Jennifers ended up getting along in the end – remember how Seraphina even went to the Hamptons last summer to spend time with J.Lo? Anyway, I wish J.Lo didn’t even give Ben this much, but these quotes are funny.

I remember being so disappointed when I first heard Brett Goldstein speak in his normal voice. He did something to his natural speaking voice on Ted Lasso – he managed to consistently make his voice deeper and gruffer as he played Roy Kent, a character for which Goldstein won two Emmys. The real Brett Goldstein is more of an artsy writer/actor/comedian, and he actually comes across as very sweet and unassuming. Well, Goldstein will soon work with Jennifer Lopez on Office Romance, and people are trying to make “J.Lo Brett” into a thing. They were also recently spotted at a play!

Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are spending some quality time together. The pair was spotted at Oh, Mary! to support Betty Gilpin, who stars in the upcoming Office Romance with them.

J.Lo and Brett took a photo with the cast alongside Meryl Streep and Martin Short, as one does, but before you read into things, they were standing on opposite sides of the group.

That said, a source just told the Daily Mail, “After a very tough start to 2025, Jennifer can’t wait to start a new project and it certainly helps that she will be working with a very handsome and smart star like Brett. He is one hot ticket and a real class act with talent to back it up—he not only acts but he writes amazing scripts. He is like the younger, better, British version of Ben. She thinks he is very cute.”

The source also somewhat hilariously claimed that “Ben knows who Brett is, he is plenty aware. Brett is younger and smarter than Ben. It will irk him for sure.”

While Goldstein isn’t married, he has been with Beth Rylance for years and I’m pretty sure they’re still together, although they keep it pretty quiet. Just FYI – I’m sure J.Lo loves flirting with a handsome British man, but I think this will just be a friendship and working relationship for them. I also hope that J.Lo isn’t constantly thinking about “so-and-so is like Ben/Ben will be so jealous!” Enough!!

With most gossip storylines, I can quickly see the machinations behind the scenes: which celebrity wants a certain story out there, whose publicist is on the attack, which couple is soft-launching, etc. But the past week of Ben Affleck gossip has thrown me for a loop. All it took was Ben getting handsy with Jennifer Garner at their son Samuel’s birthday party for the gossip world to go haywire. Page Six claimed that Ben was suddenly “open” to “giving it another shot” with Garner, even though sources close to Garner were like “hell NO.” Ben’s PR then ran to TMZ to claim that of course Ben isn’t interested in getting back with Garner and he’s not even dating anyone right now. Then, suddenly, it looked like this whole “are Ben and J-Garner reconciling” storyline was about bringing it around to Jennifer Lopez:

A source recently told Page Six that the “Maid in Manhattan” actress is “not happy with constantly seeing photos” of Affleck and Garner, who were married between 2005 – 2018. The pair have sparked speculation that there may be something more between them as they were pictured cozying up to each other on a recent paintballing event with their children, Fin and Samuel.

The insider told the news outlet that the photos have been like “salt in the wound” to Lopez, adding that she’s not only “furious,” but also the situation is “completely messing with her head.”

Another source, however, maintained that the “Let’s Get Loud” singer is seemingly oblivious of Affleck’s recent closeness with Garner, explaining that she’s focused on her upcoming Netflix movie, “Office Romance.”

“I doubt she has even seen these stories as she is consumed with the film,” the insider shared. “She has been fully concentrating on her life, her growth, and her happiness.”

I don’t think it’s one extreme or the other – I doubt J.Lo is consumed with rage about the Affleck-Garner gossip, nor is she solely focusing on herself. She’s probably like everyone else, wondering what the hell is going on there. Which brings me to the latest chapter in this story: Ben wants nothing to do with J.Lo.

Ben Affleck is “happier than he’s been in years” after settling his divorce from Jennifer Lopez two months ago, a source exclusively tells Page Six. We’re told the Oscar winner is “in a much better mood lately” and is “excited” about this next chapter.

“Ben hasn’t been in regular contact with Jennifer since their divorce unless it revolves around their kids’ school functions,” the insider says. Affleck, 52, “has no hard feelings for Jennifer but he would rather keep things at a distance.”

According to the source, the “Gone Girl” star “doesn’t really see a point in remaining close friends” with the “Let’s Get Loud” singer, 55.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are officially divorced. To recap, Jennifer filed for divorce last August, on what was the second anniversary of their second wedding. J.Lo only filed for divorce after Ben had ghosted her for months and basically refused to even talk about reconciling or working on their marriage. They quietly met a few times and negotiated the terms of their divorce with their lawyers, and the terms were settled back in January. As of Friday, February 21, their marriage has been dissolved and they are officially and legally single. I haven’t heard anything about financial settlements or anything, which is weird because there were some joint projects and community assets. But I don’t know what happened there. Hilariously, Team Affleck decided to use the news of the marriage dissolution to announce that Ben isready to start dating. My dude, you were already “dating” when you were still married to J.Lo.

Ben Affleck is looking to return to the dating scene. Since Affleck and ex-wife Jennifer Lopez settled their divorce on Jan. 6, a source exclusively tells PEOPLE, “Ben’s casually dating.”

“This doesn’t seem to be a focus though,” the insider adds.

The source says that the Oscar winner is “very focused on work,” adding, “If he’s not filming, he spends long days at his office.”

The source says the 52-year-old actor also spends “a lot of time” with his and Jennifer Garner’s children: Violet Anne, 19, Seraphina Rose, 16, and Samuel, 12. Noting that Affleck spends “a lot of time” with his youngest child, Samuel.

“They are very close,” the source says.

A 52-year-old man who just wrapped up his second divorce is “casually dating.” I’m sure it’s just as messy as can be. I wonder if he’s back on Raya, or whether he prefers to meet women in person. I also wonder if he’ll end up circling back to one of his exes soon. Not J.Lo – that will take a few years – but maybe Ana de Armas? LOL, Gwyneth Paltrow is happily married or else that would be a perfect second-chance romance.

Meanwhile, J.Lo was in Abu Dhabi, playing a series of sold-out concerts. On Friday, she teared up as the audience cheered for her.
