Jason Derulo didn’t want to marry Jordin Sparks

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks recently ended their three-year relationship and no one really understood why. They seemed to really be happy together and worked well… but all good things must come to an end, I suppose. Especially since Jordin really wanted to get married and Jason was feeling pressured and did NOT want to walk down the aisle. From ABC News: “Though I think it is a private matter and intended to keep my break-up Jordin personal, due to bogus and irresponsible lies being reported by insensitive media outlets it became necessary for me to comment,” Derulo told ABC News. “I spent three great years with Jordin and she is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met. But as in all relationships there are ups and downs and at this time we have decided to amicably part. Infidelity, cheating or deceit played no part in our relationship or our break-up, and I hope that people respect our privacy as we move forward with our lives.” From People: Derulo denied any infidelity or ego problems, but he did admit to host Ryan Seacrest that time apart because of their busy schedules created stress in the relationship. “It may have weighed on her more than it weighed on me,” Derulo told Seacrest. “She was in [a] frustrated space a lot.” Though he says expectations and “pressures of marriage” were a point of contention for him, Derulo has no plans on avoiding performing songs like his hit single “Marry Me.” “I think it’ll be tough to perform a lot of different songs,” said the singer. “But maybe it’ll be special in a different way because that was a huge time in my life.” Ah, well. At least it seems to actually be amicable with them and they were able to end things maturely (at least so far). Follow us on Twitter | Facebook

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks are no longer a couple

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks have been dating for what seems like forever – in reality, it’s been a few years (which is like eternity in Hollywood years, anyway). Unfortunately, their romance has come to an end and the relationship is over… but it’s okay! They’re totally cool about it! From US Weekly: Speak for yourself! Jason Derulo confirmed that he and Jordin Sparks have called it quits during an interview with KDWB in Minneapolis on Thursday, Sept. 25, but said that everything is “cool.” Although Derulo was at first hesitant to talk about the news (he told radio host Lucas “I’d rather not” when first asked about the split) he did say that they’ll remain friends. “Everything is cool man,” Derulo said when asked if the two will stay pals. “It’s not a bad situation, it’s not one of those kinds of things,” he added. Apparently they’re both actually pretty upset about this (says “a source”) and it’s all down to the fact that they work and travel too much to actually have any time together. That’s unfortunately the sort of sad compromise you make when you’re in the public eye – and I think why a lot of these Hollywood relationships don’t really last. If you never see each other and you’re so focused on being a star, it doesn’t leave much room for forming deep and lasting love. I mean, I guess it happens… but it’s pretty rare. Now I’m sad just thinking about those 10,000 roses. Follow us on Twitter | Facebook

Jason Derulo Gave Jordin Sparks 10,000 Roses for Valentine’s Day

I love love as much as the next person, but 10,000 roses? COME ON! Jason Derulo wanted to show just how much he loves longtime girlfriend Jordin Sparks, so for Valentine’s Day, he literally sent 10,000 pink roses to her home (hotel room? hard to tell) to surprise her. Sure, I guess that’s “romantic”, but if that was me, I’d have asked why we couldn’t have spent the money on something better… like, say, 10,000 donuts or 10,000 slices of pizza. But, you know, that’s just me. What do you think of the gesture? Romantic or tacky? Follow us on Twitter | Facebook
