Taraji P. Henson contemplated suicide during the pandemic

You tend to thing to people who seem to have it all, or who seem so strong, are immune to the very human issue of mental health.  I’m proud of Taraji for speaking out on this. The Oscar nominee described the harrowing “dark moment” she experienced in recent months. “For a couple of days, I couldn’t get out of the bed, I didn’t care. That’s not me. Then, I started having thoughts about ending it,” she said during her Facebook Watch series, “Peace of Mind with Taraji,” The “Empire” star, 50, said these thoughts occurred “two nights in a row, and noted that she owns a gun, which she keeps in a safe. “If I could go in there right now, and just end it all ’cause I want it to be over, ” Henson recalled of her thoughts. “Thought about my son [Marcell Johnson], I said, ‘He’s grown, he’ll get over it,’” she continued. Henson said she felt herself withdrawing from loved ones during this period. “People were calling me, I wasn’t responding. I didn’t care,” Henson said. Henson said she finally told a friend about her headspace, adding she felt partly “ashamed.” “I was like, ‘I don’t want them to think I’m crazy.’ I don’t want them to, you know, obsess over me or think they gotta come and sit on me,” Henson said. “So one day I just blurted it out to my girlfriend. She called me in the morning and I was like, ‘You know I thought about killing myself last night.’” Henson, who conversed Wednesday with licensed psychologist Dr. LaShonda Green, said she felt if she kept her thoughts inward it would become a “plan.” “At first it was like, ‘I don’t want to be here,’ then I started thinking about going to get the gun. That’s why when I woke up the next morning, I blurted it out because I felt like after a while it was going to take over me and it was going to become a plan,” she added. “There would be days when my brain wouldn’t stop racing with the worst scenarios in the world, which would heighten my anxiety,” she told Self magazine at the time. “There was no shame when I started to recognize it. It was like, ‘I have to get some help,’ because I’m the life of the party and when I go dark, I go dark. I don’t want to leave the house.” The post Taraji P. Sex and the City may do the HBO Max reboot thing

Why not? Every other show that existed in the late 90’s has been brought back.  I guess that’s how we do it now. I guess we have to when we have umpteenmillion channels and streaming services to fill. HBO Max is considering a new limited series version of Sex And The City, but this time without Kim Cattrall’s Samantha, Page Six reported on Tuesday. According to a ‘well-placed industry insider,’ Cattrall, 64, isn’t interested in revisiting the series after years of publicly feuding with series star Sarah Jessica Parker, 55. They HATE each other. Like Tom and Jerry hate. Aside from Cattrall, Parker is expected to return, as well as the other lead actresses: Kristin Davis, 55, who plays Charlotte, and Cynthia Nixon, 54, who plays Miranda. Cattrall also echoed the feelings of many fans that the franchise went downhill with its final two movies, with the second film being singled out for extra criticism. ‘I feel that the show was the best when it was the series and the bonus was the two movies.’ In September 2019, Parker told Entertainment Tonight that she was interested in filming ‘some episodes of Sex And The City,’ though she reject the term reboot. ‘I wouldn’t call it a reboot, I would call it a “revisit,”‘ she clarified.  Yea. Well it’s a reboot. Get over it. The post Sex and the City may do the HBO Max reboot thing appeared first on Today's Evil Beet Gossip.

Gillian Anderson and The Crown Creator Peter Morgan Split After Four Years

Gillian Anderson and Peter Morgan have called it quits after four years of dating. The Emmy-winning actress, 52, and the creator of The Crown, 57, have amicably split, according to a report from U.K. columnist Baz Bamigboye of the Daily Mail. According to Bamigboye, Anderson and Morgan began dating back in 2016, though the former couple never moved in together. A source tells PEOPLE that the pair — who worked together on the recent season of the Netflix royals series, as Anderson portrayed British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher — have “highly-demanding schedules.” A rep for Anderson declined to comment on the actress’ personal life. Morgan’s rep also declined to comment. Anderson split from first husband Clyde Klotz — with whom she shares daughter Piper, 26 — in 1997, and from second husband Julian Ozanne in 2006. The Sex Education actress was later with Mark Griffiths from 2006 to 2015. They have two children, sons Oscar, 14, and Felix, 12. Morgan has five children from a previous marriage. Tom Cruise dating MI7 costar, Hayley Atwell

We all know Tom has the very best publicists and it seems they’re working overtime to make you forget he threatened to fire anyone who stands too close to one another amid Covid rules. I want to be clear, I approve of Tom’s rant. If Hollywood insists on being open, because that shit is NOT essential, they better follow every rule. Ok, anyway, so how better to distract people from a belligerent blow up than with the tantalizing tails of love between costars?? Tom, 58, and Hayley, 38, are said to have become ‘fairly inseparable’ after they ‘hit it off from day one’. Tom hasn’t had a high-profile romance since his divorce from ex-wife Katie Holmes in 2012 while Hayley is said to have split from her English doctor ex earlier this year. ‘Lockdown, and all the difficulties that came with it, brought them even closer and they’ve become fairly inseparable. ‘They’ve been meeting up after hours, and she’s been to his London pad. They get on brilliantly, and both seem very happy.’ I’m naturally skeptical of the whole thing, but lets just let them have this one for now. Tom and Hayley have been busy filming scenes for Mission: Impossible 7 in Rome, Venice, Britain and Norway over the past few weeks, where they have regularly been spotted on set together The post Tom Cruise dating MI7 costar, Hayley Atwell appeared first on Today's Evil Beet Gossip.

Britney Spears chops off her hair amid reports of trouble at home

Man. Britney Britney Britney.   The troubled singer took to Istagram last night to share her new locks, and … I don’t hate it.   I don’t hate it at all.  I just wish she’d stop with that tragic eyeliner look. Brit shared a bunch of pics (she loves to take the same shot over and over with just a slightly different duckface in each) of her new hair cut stating “Out with the old… in with the new”. This comes amid lots of rumors that she hasn’t spoke to her father, who was her conservator for years, in many months. Britney’s father claims her legal team has advised her to cut off all communications with him, saying they were on ‘good terms’ until August. “I love my daughter and I miss her very much,” he told CNN. Adding, “When a family member needs special care and protection, families need to step up, as I have done for the last 12-plus years, to safeguard, protect and continue to love Britney unconditionally. I have and will continue to provide unwavering love and fierce protection against those with self-serving interests and those who seek to harm her or my family.” So what do you think of the new cut? The Seinfeld “Soup Nazi” is making bank on Cameo

If you’re not familiar with Cameo.com, you must visit.  The site is filled with mostly C and D celebs, with a serious sprinkling of A and B listers (Richard Dreyfus, come on. What are you doing?) who will record personal video message for a fee. Some of those fees as low as $50, some as high as $2500. Recently the CEO of Cameo was talking to The New York Times and made the claim that Larry Thomas, best know to Seinfeld fans as “the Soup Nazi,” was making six figures selling messages on the site. Naturally, this type of information is pretty personal and certainly not something the head of a company trying to lure in new celebs should be revealing. “For anybody to divulge somebody’s income is irresponsible because everyone’s got expenses and nobody knows what they are,” Thomas, 64, pointing out that six figures can mean anything from $100,000 to close to $1 million. “I’ve never seen a million dollars in my life or anything like it,” he continued. The actor, known for his iconic episode of the sitcom, said that Galanis called him personally to apologize after revealing the information on NYT’s “Sway” podcast earlier this month. Over the past few weeks, Thomas says that he has been deluged with requests for money and while he is incredibly grateful to be able to have a payday during the COVID-19 pandemic, he works hard for the Cameo cash. “Between technical glitches and me wanting it to be perfect … I may do four takes of each Cameo so it’s not 30 seconds of work and then you have to proof them,” he explained. Thomas, who quit his day job eight years after the “Seinfeld” episode ran in 1995, is appreciative for his spot in pop culture history. “It’s an insane phenomenon,” he told us. “I can’t even express how grateful I am as an actor where my 18 years in the business had been at that time and where I see a lot of other actors my age at this time.” The post The Seinfeld “Soup Nazi” is making bank on Cameo appeared first on Today's Evil Beet Gossip.
