Gisele Bundchen & Joaquim Valente currently have ‘no plans for marriage’

Not even a month ago, Gisele Bundchen confirmed that she’s expecting her third child, first with her boyfriend Joaquim Valente. Gisele is 44 years old and just two years past her divorce from Tom Brady. I still think this pregnancy was probably a surprise for her and Joaquim. While many are focused on how Tom Brady is doing (he’s listening to “Landslide”), we need to go back to Gisele and Joaquim. They were friends first, he was a shoulder to cry on when she was going through the divorce, and it definitely seems like he’s the only person she’s dated post-divorce. But sources want people to know that they’re not rushing into marriage!

Gisele Bündchen and boyfriend Joaquim Valente are staying true to themselves and not letting Bündchen’s pregnancy rush them down the wedding aisle.

“They’re deeply committed to each other, but there are currently no plans for marriage,” a source exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly, noting that the couple “aren’t talking about marriage” right now.

Although Bündchen, 44, and Valente, 37, have been living together since shortly after they started dating in summer 2023 — and are now expecting their first baby together — they reportedly aren’t in a rush to tie the knot.

“They’re in love and happy,” the insider says. “But right now, marriage is not on top of their to-do list.”

The source noted that both Bündchen and the jiu jitsu trainer are “happy about the pregnancy,” which is their focus.

Although Bündchen’s pregnancy surprised some fans given her recent split from retired NFL quarterback Tom Brady, the insider tells Us that her ex-husband is at peace with the news. “He wants to see her happy,” the source says of Brady, pointing out that the former football player, 47, and Bündchen remain amicable following their October 2022 split. “They maintain a coparenting relationship that’s solely focused on their children’s well-being.”

I’m not surprised that Gisele seems reluctant to marry Joaquim. It’s not even about him, it’s about how she probably feels like she just got out of her first marriage and she’s not eager to jump into another one. Many divorced women are not eager to remarry – it’s a real thing, that once they’ve had one husband, they never want another one. Meanwhile, most divorced men remarry very quickly. That’s what has surprised me about Tom Brady – he hasn’t found some young blonde who wants to be a wife/influencer. Usually this situation is reversed – it would be Tom getting a girlfriend pregnant while Gisele enjoys her post-divorce peace.
