Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have always insisted that their decision to get married – and the wedding itself – was all about their kids, who were really into the idea. It seems that’s actually the case, as Angelina donned a pretty interesting dress when she tied the knot with Brad last weekend. Here’s the scoop from US Weekly: In the first photos, on the new cover of the UK’s HELLO! magazine, the happy bride affectionately kisses her now-husband Pitt. “It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family,” Brad and Angelina told the mag. As previously reported by Us Weekly, the couple wed in a small intimate ceremony in a chapel in Chateau Miraval in France. “It was a non-denominational civil ceremony,” a spokesperson for the couple told Us in a statement. “It was very much a family affair.” A family affair indeed. Not only did Jolie’s dress feature artwork drawn by kids Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and six-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, the children were also active in the nuptials. Jolie walked down the aisle with Maddox and Pax, while Zahara and Vivienne “threw petals, gathered from the garden,” the spokesperson previously told Us. “Shiloh and Knox were the ring bearers.” Aw, well that’s sweet. I think it’s extra sweet that they really did do this for the kids and would have been perfectly fine not ever getting married if it wasn’t for them. I do think they will be together for a long ass time – like, think Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins time (they were the best couple EVER). I dunno, I just think they work! He apparently bumped into the superstar in 2002 when she was freshly single after splitting from husband Billy Bob Thornton. ‘I said, “What’s up baby?” And she said with a wink, “I’m trying to find this guy I kind of know because I’m really horny right now,”’ Pat recalled. The now 66-year-old, who had interviewed Angelina several times before their rumoured encounter, went on to write: ‘I joked that she had my number and we laughed.’ Kewl story, bro. Angelina Jolie will undergo further surgery following her double mastectomy

As you’ll well remember, Angelina Jolie underwent a voluntary double mastectomy last year after discovering that she would most likely be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in her life. No doubt it was a difficult choice to make, but a brave one, and she’s bounced back well following the procedure. While she initially decided not to publicly discuss the situation beyond her initial statement, she recently revealed that she’s due to return for another procedure. From Entertainment Weekly: There’s still another surgery to have, which I haven’t yet [Jolie is also genetically at risk for ovarian cancer, which is what took her mother’s life at age 56]. I’ll, you know, I’ll get advice from all these wonderful people who I’ve been talking to, to get through that next stage. Jolie also said she has no regrets about her decision to undergo the mastectomy: I’m great! I’m very happy I made the decision. I was very fortunate to have great doctors and very, very fortunate to have a good recovery and have a project like Unbroken [the World War II survival story she is directing] to have something to be really focused on, to be getting healthy for, and to be able to just get right back to work. Good for her. It’s great that she’s been able to be such a vocal spokesperson for such a common issue, and great that she’s recovering so well and has such a positive attitude about what must be a very difficult situation.
