Beyonce has been (badly) Photoshopping her pictures again

Beyonce is hot. We’ve all seen her in the flesh – in REAL candids, like in concerts, at awards shows, etc. We know what she looks like. So why is she still so insistent on not only Photoshopping her pictures, but doing it so badly? Bey runs a very carefully controlled empire. We all remember when that super unflattering picture of her in concert popped up online a couple of years ago, leading her to ban all photography at her shows unless it was done by her PERSONAL photographer. However, she’s taken things one step further by even seriously altering her “candid” Instagram selfies, and it’s done so shittily, I seriously have to wonder if it’s a joke. Sorry, but last I checked, curtains don’t pull themselves in at waist level just to help you out. That’s the Photoshop liquify tool you’re working with, and whoever it is seriously is working with some 101-level skills. But it’s not even about how bad it is – though it is laughably so – it’s about the fact that Bey makes a huge deal out of releasing a song like ‘Pretty Hurts’, all about how superficial the world is and how she’s breaking free from that (easy to say when you’re objectively VERY attractive, thin and rich already) and then goes and does this amateur hour shit. This isn’t the first time she’s been called out about Photoshopping, either – and she’s certainly not the only one to do it. But for some reason, it just seems like more of a betrayal from Beyonce, who has been rather vocal about embracing herself flaws and all, and encouraging others to do the same. If you feel like you need to digitally squeeze yourself into Barbie proportions, fair enough. Live your life. But don’t pretend like you stand for anything but the same things everyone else does: vanity, to an extreme degree. Have a look through her Instagram and this shitty Photoshopping is everywhere. Some guy told Beyonce she can’t sing and her response was excellent

I don’t know who in their right mind (which is, perhaps, the point) would go to a Beyonce concert just to hold up a sign that says she can’t sing, but I guess to each his own. That’s what some weirdo did nearly a year ago, and we’re only now seeing the video of how the incident unfolded now. I won’t ruin it for you – just sit back and enjoy: Well, that’s him told. Look, if you really don’t like someone/something, how about just, you know, getting a life and shutting up about it? NO ONE CARES. Jay-Z might have announced that Beyonce is pregnant again

Jay-Z and Beyoncé have taken their On The Run tour overseas and while performing in France on Friday night, Jay-Z maybe sorta told everyone that Bey is knocked up again for real by changing the lyrics in his song “Beach Is Better” from “I replace it with another one” to “pregnant with another one”.  People are, of course, losing their shit, and no official announcement has been made (nor have their reps responded to the 8,000,000 requests for comment I’m sure they’ve had since). Of course, these rumours have been swirling around for weeks, maybe months – but this is the first we’ve heard from either of them either way. Does changing a lyric in a song count as an announcement? Was he just trying to rile everyone up? Beyonce is so grateful for your birthday wishes, she did a cartwheel

Beyoncé celebrated her birthday on September 4th, and members of the Beyhive took to social media to bombard her with birthday wishes. She may be a worldwide star, but she does read your messages and she was so thankful for them, she posted a picture of herself doing a cartwheel (back walkover?) on her Instagram page to show her appreciation. Blue Ivy might not be Beyonce’s, or so a woman named Tina Seals claims

All of you who have been saying from jump that Beyoncé hired a surrogate to carry Blue Ivy might start feeling a bit vindicated when I tell you this one: a woman named Tina Seals has filed a maternity suit against the couple claiming that she is the real mother of Blue Ivy. From The Hollywood Gossip (so take this with a GIANT grain of salt): A woman named Tina Seals has reportedly filed a maternity lawsuit in Manhattan in which she claims to be the mother of Blue Ivy Carter, Jay Z and Beyonce’s only child. The rumored legal document alleges that Seals is seeking “to verify whether she is the biological mother” of the toddler and that she was “previously associated” in some way with defendants “Beyonce Knowles and Jay Z Carter.” It’s nearly unheard of for a woman to file a maternity lawsuit because this somehow means Seals believes SHE gave birth to Blue Ivy instead of Beyonce… which is just an odd thing for the latter to have covered up and/or the former to have allowed. Could she have had an affair with Jay Z, given the child up for adoption to the couple and is now having second thoughts? It’s unclear, and it could be complete BS – but this scandal comes amidst incessant chatter that Jay Z and Beyonce are on the outs. I want us all to be realistic with ourselves and realise that while this might be REALLY juicy if it were true, it’s most likely complete and utter bullshit and the woman behind the alleged lawsuit, if it’s real, is probably a walking insane asylum and/or trying to make some quick and easy cash. The kid looks like Jay-Z and it also has a bit of Bey from when she was younger. Blue Ivy is hers. Shit like this makes it even more abundantly clear why I would never, ever want to be a celebrity. Solange attacked Jay-Z because he wanted to party without Beyoncé

I’m not really sure that we’ll ever get the actual truth about the whole Jay-Z / Solange fight that went down at the Met Gala, but we at least have some random “source’s” account of what went down now, anyway. Apparently, everything was going sorta okay, but then two things happened to get Solange all agitated and made her snap: 1. Apparently a bunch of Solange’s friends turned up to the Gala claiming to be guests of Jay-Z himself. This pissed off Jay, who told her never to use his name again and she sulked off in a huff. 2. After the Gala, Jay said he was going to Rihanna’s afterparty alone – i.e. without Beyoncé – which was said to be the final straw and led Solange to lose her mind. From The New York Daily News: “Why can’t you go home?” a drunken Solange Knowles said to her brother-in-law as they left the swanky May 5 Met Gala after-party, a source told The News. Then the 27-year-old singer turned to her 32-year-old big sis Beyoncé. “Why does your husband need to go to the club right now?” Solange asked, according to the source. An incensed Jay Z took offense to Solange getting involved in his business. “You’re one to talk,” he shot back at Solange, the source said. Jay Z’s sharp reply sent Solange into a violent rage. She attacked Jay Z with a series of furious kicks and punches in a three-minute outburst that was caught on surveillance video and leaked Monday. The bad vibes between Jay Z and Solange started 15 minutes earlier when a group of Solange’s nonfamous friends from Brooklyn showed up uninvited at the star-studded soiree, a source told The News. “Two of her friends, who were not dressed for the Met ball, showed up at the Standard and caused a scene downstairs,” the source said. “They wouldn’t leave and kept name-dropping Jay Z. They were pretending they were guests of his and not hers. Management went to Julius (Beyoncé’s bodyguard) and said there’s a problem.” A source said Jay Z got wind of it and snapped at Solange — saying “don’t use my name.” Is any of this true? Who knows. It seems kinda extreme for Solange to be flying off the handle about that – especially considering Beyoncé was standing there and seemingly not caring, but who the hell knows. Did Beyoncé Photoshop herself a thigh gap?

Celebrities Photoshopping their pictures – even their “candid” Instagram images – is nothing new and almost to be expected. However, no one really expected it from Beyoncé, who notoriously does NOT have a thigh gap but suddenly did in a vacation photo she posted on Thursday. Bey has always been pretty body positive (at least in terms of how she discusses her body image publicly), so it seems bizarre that she would be concerned with noticeably slimming down her thighs. Then again, this is the person whose team begged bloggers to take down unflattering photos of her on tour and banned photographers from any future dates so she had full control over what was released. Anyhow, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been enjoying a nice little vacation together and here’s the photo that’s caused all the fuss: Not sure what to make of it, really. I think maybe it’s just the angle the picture was taken? I can’t tell if that curve in on her leg is sloppy Photoshopping or the definition of muscle? WHO KNOWS? Bey is beautiful whatever way you slice it, but I suppose as a society we want to do anything we can to find some imperfection in those who seem perfect… What do you think – is this Photoshopped or just a weird pic?
