Congrats, Mr. Big!! Chris Noth has announced his wife is pregnant with their second child, and it’s a boy! Taking to social media to reveal the exciting news on Wednesday, the 64-year-old “Sex and the City” heartthrob showed off Tara Lynn Wilson’s growing bump. “Orion is getting a brother,” he stated before joking, “I better get my ass in shape.” Noth met his Tara while she was working the bar at The Cutting Room (which Noth co-owns). The couple began dating in 2002. Their son, Orion Christopher Noth, was born in January 2008, and the couple married on April 6, 2012. Chris Noth says ‘Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw was a whore
I don’t think Chris Noth really understood what Sex and the City was actually about. In fact, he seems downright ignorant not only about the show and the characters on it, but about the world at large, since he thinks his character from the show, Big, was a super awesome guy while Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker, if you live under a rock) was “such a whore”. It’s funny, because even with The Good Wife people accuse me of always playing powerful men. But they’re flawed — Big was powerful because he had a lot of money and he seemed to have the upper hand in the relationship, but emotionally he was a wreck. Actually, no: he was what he was. One of the things I tell people is that he never tried to pretend he was anything other than what he was. It was [Carrie] who tried to pretend he was something he wasn’t. He was always honest about himself — he never cheated on her. The relationship just didn’t work, and he went on to get married while she went on to … how many boyfriends did she have? She was such a whore! [laughs] There’s a misconception that Carrie was a victim of him, and that’s not the case — she was a strong, smart woman. I feel like I need to take a few moments to fully absorb this level of stupidity. Hahaha, women are whores! Men do no wrong! LOL!! I don’t want to get deep and meaningful about an HBO series that ended almost 10 years ago, but let’s get real here: Big was no angel, and Carrie was far from a whore. But of course, men who do what Carrie did – date around, look for someone she actually clicked with and could be with forever, perhaps sleep with a few different people a year – are just being dudes!
