Rejoice! The Cast of Clueless reunited at a C2E2!
Heathers, Legally Blonde, Mean Girls… all major contributes to the awesome chick flick genre, but at the top there can be only one. Clueless. I can recite it. I often do. So imagine my hearts reaction to seeing the core gang (Rip Brittany Murphy. And Stacy Dash is just nuts) all sat side by side on stage over the weekend. Squueeaaalll! Breckin Meyer, Donald Faison, Paul Rudd and Alicia Silverstone C2E2 (Chicago’s Comic and Entertainment Expo) has getting all kinds of casts back together, but Clueless took the cake. The four took questions regarding rumors of a sequel, to which Alicia said “I’m not involved in that at all”. They spoke about Paul Rudd never aging. He says inside he’s an 80 year old man and “nothing but darkness and lotion”. And, of course, they mentioned Brittany Murphy, who died in 2009 at the age of 32. Alicia recalled Murphy’s most famous lines from the film, in which she played Tai Frasier: “I love when she says, ‘You’re a virgin who can’t drive.’ It’s just one of my favorite moments of the whole movie. It’s just, her face scrunches up so good.” Breckin Meyer, who played Travis Birkenstock, Tai’s crush, also spoke of her. “Ridiculously talented. Like, you see Tai, and then you watch 8 Mile, and you’re like, ‘That’s the same person?’” he said.
