Kanye West really doesn’t get why you’re mad that he told someone in a wheelchair to stand up during his concert. Just because he wouldn’t take the fan’s word for it and felt the need to send his security into the audience to make sure the guy was legit handicapped and not just making it up for fun (???) and complained about the time it was taking to verify this so that he could move on with his setlist doesn’t mean he’s a terrible person, right? I mean… right? At the end of the day, it’s Kanye that’s the real victim… says Kanye. From Billboard: “Pick a new target, ’cause I’m not one of these dumb-ass artists that you’re used to,” West said at his Brisbane concert, the final date on his Yeezus tour of Australia. He said the media will cover stories such as “Kanye West buying ice cream” and a jet-skiing squirrel, while ignoring issues such as kids being killed in Chicago or unnamed people being shot by police. He said the media was trying to “demonize” him, and went on to call out Matt Lauer, Michael Strahan, Whoopi Goldberg and Robin Roberts, saying efforts to discredit him won’t work, noting he is “a married Christian man with a family” who makes sure “everybody has as good of a time as possible” at his concerts. If you’d like to torture yourself by listening to/watching his entire rant – and believe me, he goes on and on about all kinds of bullshit, like how he’s a good “married, Christian man” and all this nonsense – here ya go: Will this guy ever get a clue? Probably not. I just hope his career starts tanking sometime soon so that he can fade into oblivion and eventually file for bankruptcy like the rest of ‘em. I will say that he makes a good point in that we should all be paying more attention to the awful injustices that happen in the world – people being shot and killed by cops (and each other) is awful and a big deal and is something worth working on.
