Stephen Collins is an “overall good guy”, says ’7th Heaven’ co-star

Stephen Collins may have molested and exposed himself to several underage girls and fantasized about having sex with his own child in his time, but he’s an “overall good guy”… this according to his former 7th Heaven co-star Kyle Searles. If you have no idea who in the hell that is, you’re not alone – apparently he played a character called Mac for three years, so go figure. Former 7th Heaven cast member Kyle Searles told PEOPLE that Collins, 67, was an “overall good guy” and not an “overly private person who would lead you to believe he was capable of such things that came out recently.” Searles, who played Mac from 2004 to 2007 on the WB drama that starred Collins as a minister and married father of seven children, said he felt compelled to speak on the actor’s behalf because “it’s important for everybody to know the type of person he was prior to anything coming out.” I’m sorry, but WHY is it important, exactly? So if, say, someone goes out and brutally murders someone, but they’re totally nice and pleasant when you meet them a few years later, does that mean they weren’t guilty and in need of prosecution? Give me a break, loser. Stephen Collins – and anyone else who exposes himself and/or otherwise becomes sexually involved with a child is not an “overall good” person. They’re disgusting, sick, perverse… nowhere on that list will you find a positive adjective. What planet is Kyle Searles living on? Hopefully he’s getting some acting roles there, because he sure isn’t on this one. Follow us on Twitter | Facebook

’7th Heaven’ dad Stephen Collins admits to being a child molestor

I think we all, regardless of religious affiliation or, you know, general taste we developed later in life, probably got sucked into watching 7th Heaven while it was on the air. It wasn’t religious viewing (lolz, pun intended) or something you were super into, but sometimes it was the only thing on, so you’d watch because Ruthie was a cute kid and it was sorta weird how the actress who played Lucy was supposed to be Jessica Biel‘s character’s younger sister even though she was older than her in real life. Not that I, uh, knew much about it. Anyway, there’s nothing Godly about this story – Stephen Collins, who played the Camden family father, has apparently been recorded on tape admitting to molesting kids. This was in conversation with his estranged wife, and now the NYPD has launched a full blown investigation. From TMZ: Collins — who is in the middle of a nasty, prolonged divorce with actress Faye Grant — revealed to her in 2012 he had molested and/or exposed himself to several underage girls years before. Collins and Grant went to a therapist where she peppered him with questions about the incidents … and he not only answered, he was specific. Here’s what Collins didn’t know at the time. Grant taped the therapy session. We’re told her lawyer advised her it was legal to secretly record the conversation because in California you’re allowed to secretly record conversations to gather evidence the other person committed a violent felony … and molesting a child under the age of 14 qualifies. We have protected the names of the victims Collins mentions on tape. As you listen … you will hear Collins refer to a “disclosure” and a “list.” This refers to a confession Collins had already made to his wife … which triggered the therapy session. You hear Collins flatly confess to molesting an 11-year-old New York girl — a relative of his first wife — saying, “There was one moment of touching where her hand, I put her hand on my penis.” He also acknowledges exposing himself to the girl “a couple of times” … he says when she was 11, 12 and 13. Grant asks, “When you exposed yourself … did you have an erection?” He responds, “No, I mean, no. Partial, maybe I think.” Grant then inquires about other girls. Collins mentions an L.A. girl who lived in their neighborhood, but says he tried righting the wrong by apologizing to her years later. And then they talk about yet another girl. It’s incredible … Collins has trouble keeping the girls straight, but then he gets clear and confirms the incident. We’re told this girl was also from New York and was between 12 and 13 at the time. Apparently detectives flew out to speak to Grant about this and about any other potential witnesses. Wow, this whole thing is a fucking mess and absolutely disgusting. What is wrong with these perverted ass men who can’t keep their hands off young girls? I’m sure this will become bigger and bigger as more of his victims come to light – after all, he’s been working with young girls for YEARS. Absolutely awful.
