The internet exploded last week when apparent photos (and video! There was video!) popped up online which seemed to show Taylor Swift actually making out with BFF and Victoria’s Secret model Karlie Kloss while at The 1975′s concert. (Keep in mind, she’s been linked to the guy in The 1975, too.) Well, Taylor is putting all the rumours to rest and letting y’all know that she isn’t dating Karlie and would very much like if you’d stop linking her to every human being with two legs, pls and thx. Taylor Swift goes psycho in ‘Blank Space’ video

Taylor Swift‘s 1989 is probably the best pop album of the year, maybe the past two years (at least). Seriously, it’s that good. I pretty much love every song on the album, save for Welcome to New York, but that’s just because I’ve lived there for 13 years and that doe-eyed naivité thing about it hasn’t been my bag for over a decade. But that’s neither here nor there! What’s important is that this album is FULL of hits, so she can ride on this one for a long while. Her new single, ‘Blank Space’, is supposed to be an homage to the psycho alter-ego the press seems to report of her when she’s in a relationship/just ending a relationship. TayTay likes to have fun, so she played on that for the music video, which leaked a day early (oopsies!) and had been watched by a zillion people before anyone realised they weren’t supposed to have seen it yet. Ah, well. I’m not a fan of music videos in general – I prefer to just listen to the damn song and I don’t need a visual to go along with it – but as these things go, this is a lot of fun and I ain’t mad at it, as they say. Taylor Swift talks feminism and Emma Watson haters

Taylor Swift is feeling feminism lately and is being vocal about her support of her fellow ladies. In fact, while being interviewed on France’s Tout Le Monde En Parle, Taylor discussed Emma Watson‘s recent UN speech and the hate (and threats) she received as a result: In case you can’t watch the video (or just don’t have the patience to do so), here’s a bit of what Taylor had to say: “I wish when I was 12 years old, I had been able to watch a video of my favorite actress explaining in such an intellectual, beautiful poignant way the definition of feminism,” Swift said. “Because I would have understood it and then earlier on in my life I would have proudly claimed that I was a feminist.” The singer explained that “so many girls out there say ‘I’m not a feminist’ cause they think it means something angry or disgruntled or complaining. They picture like rioting and picketing, it is not that at all, it just simply means that you believe that women and men should have equal rights and opportunities and to say that you’re not a feminist means that you think men should have more rights and opportunities than women.” “I just think that a lot of girls don’t know the definition and the fact that Emma got up and explained it, I think it’s an incredible thing and I am happy to live in a world where that happened,” Swift noted of the HeforShe campaign. I mean, that’s all a bit simplified, but I get what she’s going for and I think her young fans will, as well. The whole video is worth watching, since she talks a bit about Miley Cyrus, as well.
