Life Size Lego ‘Friends’ Set erected in Vegas

I think it’s clear from the number of posts I gleefully make that I’m a friends fan. So I love almost everything about this. I’m NOT ok with the live monkey on set.  Ok, so that aside… this is wild. The installation was commissioned by Warner Bros. Television to commemorate the ongoing festivities for the 25th anniversary of “Friends.”  It took just shy of 1,000,000 bricks to put together and it’s steller. Lego brick artist Nathan Sawaya spent 4 months building the exhibit at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino. Suzanne Somers strips down for 73 birthday

Suzanne Somer has my respect for having the cojones to post a nude selfie at the mature age of 73.   I can’t stress that enough. But wow does she appear to have had a lot of work done. Helen Hunt hospitalized after car crash

Helen Hunt had a pretty scary Wednesday night in LA after a car crash sent her to the hospital. The vehicle she was riding in was struck by another driver in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles, according to multiple reports. Hunt was reportedly riding in the back of a black SUV when her vehicle was clipped by another car, which flipped Hunt’s SUV onto its side. The actress was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, complaining of pain following the collision, TMZ reports. She was reportedly released later in the evening, after being examined by doctors. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told People that Hunt was one of multiple people taken to the hospital following the incident, and that police investigating the crash determined that no crime had occurred. Prince’s estate demands Trump stop playing Purple rain at rallies

What in the WORLD could the Trump administration be thinking by playing ‘Purple Rain’ at their rallies? I mean what message is in that song that they think works in that situation? Regardless, a Tweet from the late music legend’s estate says it’s happening.  And they ain’t down with it. “President Trump played Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’ tonight at a campaign event in Minneapolis despite confirming a year ago that the campaign would not use Prince’s music,” the statement read. The tweet included an October 2018 letter from Trump lawyer Jones Day that said the campaign would not use Prince’s music art any future events. That letter was in response to an initial claim from the Prince estate about one year ago that asked them not to play the song. The estate made clear that the legendary singer-songwriter would not want his art used in a campaign event. “The Prince Estate will never give permission to President Trump to use Prince’s songs,” the tweet read. I will say I can’t blame him. What you’re looking at above is a giant wall-mounted periodic table with samples or representations of all the elements.  I mean he can’t have Uranium on display. So enter Will Smith who dropped in to visit the software genius and fell in love with the magnificent wall and told him straight out “I might be stealin’ that. Jay Z investing in compostable phone cases

This is pretty interesting.  We all know they trash is constant. I mean I complain constantly that every time I buy something I get twice as much packaging as I do product.  But then there’s the product itself and how often you replace that product.  I go through cell phone cases pretty regularly because they tend to be an inexpensive way to express myself.  So having those cases not contribute to the deluge of garbage we leave behind is a comfort. Enter Hova. Jay Z has invested in Pela.  A cell phone and sunglasses company that makes products that will breakdown over time when thrown away.  The problem is, currently, the designs are… undesigned. They’re essentially just solid color cases. And at an average of $40 a piece, they’re not making it easy on us to join in. But if eco friendly products by millionaire hip hop artist are what gets you going, Pela is your jam. I love the slogan: “There is no Planet B”. MSNBC News woman’s report crashed by her own son

This is so adorable.  NBC News correspondent Courtney Kube was doing a live broadcast Wednesday morning when she got an on-air interview she wasn’t planning on.  Her son Ryan! Kube, who covers national security and the Pentagon, was discussing Turkey’s incursion into Syria from the NBC News studios in Washington, D.C. when her 4-year-old son mosied on to the live set and tried to get his mommy’s attention. The boy didn’t seem to care mommy was in the middle of covering important news and the producer was forced to jump to footage of Turkey while they retrieved the toddler.
