New Poll shows British people want William to be next king

The Queen of England is 94 years old.  And still seems game for all her royal duties on a day to day basis.  But time what it is, there will be an end to her reign.  So who should take over? Going by tradition the very next in line for the throne is the Queens first born son, Prince Charles.  But Charles himself is 72.  And much like in the US, a lot of people feel that’s just too out of touch to be in charge. Which brings us to second in line, Duke of Cambridge, William. In a poll done by Deltapoll, just 27% of Britons want the Prince of Wales to be king – compared to 47% for the Duke of Cambridge. Amusingly, those aged 18 – 24 wanted Harry to bypass them both to take the throne, even though he’s like 6th in line. Also noted, just over 40 per cent of people think the Queen should remain in her position until her death – while 27 per cent feel she should step down if she falls ill. I can’t imagine that will inspire Charles to step aside seeing he’s waited 72 years for this honor, but I like that they’ll know how the masses feel. courtesy of Deltapoll via Mirror. Regé-Jean Page wont be back for Season 2 Of ‘Bridgerton’

The whole reason you kept watching the Gossip Girl gone victorian was because the sex pot named Duke of Hastings was keeping things exciting under the sheets.  Now that’s no more. Break out star Regé-Jean Page is leaving the show and will not return for Season 2. Page had always been contracted to do just one season, as it was written in the original Bridgerton book.  But some hoped he would be made permanent. His character will be referenced going forward though he won’t appear. As a Bridgerton, Dynevor’s Daphne will continue to be a part of the series, Lady Whistledown confirmed. Season two of Bridgerton will follow the pursuit of marriage for the eldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), as chronicled in the second book of Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton series, The Viscount Who Loved Me. Naya Rivera Will Posthumously Voice Catwoman

It’s been 9 months since we lost Naya Rivera after a freak drowning while she was out on a boat with her young son, Josey, on Lake Piru.  Now, what is presumably her last acting job, is being completed. Naya completed voice work on the upcoming Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One, before her death. Supernatural‘s Jensen Ackles plays Batman in the movie. The rest of the cast includes Josh Duhamel as Harvey Dent, Billy Burke as James Gordon, Titus Welliver as Carmine Falcone, David Dastmalchian as Calendar Man, and Troy Baker as Joker. The show will be a two part series, but there’s no word on how they’ll handle part two since Rivera can’t voice it. Colin Firth to star in “The Staircase” adapted from murder doc

Katherine and Michael Peterson Michael Peterson was a Novelist whose wife, Katherine, died after an apparent fall down the staircase in their home. The medical examiner said there were clear signs she had been beaten to death and Michael became the primary focus for police. There have been… seriously, like 6 documentaries, both film length and one hour tv show format, about this story.  I don’t know why, exactly, it captures peoples attention so much, but it’s a favorite among crime junkies for sure. Now it’s being made into a top of the line TV movie staring Colin Firth as Michael Peterson. Director Antonio Campos said, “This has been a project I have been working on in one way or another since 2008. Tom Hanks son Chet beat up by ex girlfriend

Chet and Kiana, image credit: TMZ You may remember Chet Hanks, son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, as the troubled lad who wanted to be a rapper and acted like a total fool in the process. Now he’s returned to the spotlight in a riveting piece of video and a game of he said she said. Chet is seen in a video obtained by TMZ arguing with his ex girlfriend, Kiana Parker, accusing her of stealing his money and charging her rent to his credit cards. In the clip, Parker is heard yelling “Shit” before lunging at Chet with a pot of some kind and then it cuts to black.  Chet then returns to camera revealing a bloody head. Parker, who appears with other people, can then be seen screaming that he “pushed” her. “Wow, now you’re trying to flip the story,” Chet says. The incident took place at Hanks’ house in Sugarland, Texas, on Jan. 8, according to an affidavit.  Parker called the police to file a report and received an incident number. He subsequently sued her for assault and battery, theft and return of the money she allegedly stole from him, according to TMZ.  What a shit show. Emma Stone welcomes her first child!

The gorgeous Emma Stone and her husband Dave McCary have welcomed their first child into the world, according to the snoops at TMZ. She actually gave birth last Saturday at an LA hospital, although no word yet on a sex or name. News of her pregnancy was presumed when she was spotted about town with a tell tale bump.  Then she dropped out of a movie with Brad Pitt, which… who would do that unless they had good reason. The two confirmed they were engaged with an Instagram pic back in December 2019 (below) and later married without the press knowing. Congrats Emma and Dave!
