George Clooney has been BFFs with Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford for years. Rande and Cindy have a permanent invite to Lake Como, and they usually vacation with George in Mexico as well. Cindy and Rande have always gotten a front-row seat to George’s lady-friend shenanigans, and you have to think that Rande and Cindy are probably pretty grateful that Clooney’s lady merry-go-round is finally over now that he’s married to Amal Alamuddin-Clooney. But what if Amal doesn’t want to spend all of her free time with Cindy and Rande?! RUH ROH.
GEORGE Clooney’s pal Cindy Crawford is a thorn in the side of new bride Amal, who frets over self-drawn comparisons to the model, as well as the inordinate amount of time he spends with her! Anxious Amal made the actor promise it’s platonic with Cindy ahead of their wedding – and the badgering has not stopped, sources told The ENQUIRER.
“Amal wants to know she’s the only one in George’s life and will be forever,” our insider dished. “Part of it is his notorious life as a bachelor, part of it is how close he is with Cindy and part of it has to do with Cindy Crawford herself. I mean, what woman wouldn’t be at least a little threatened by someone like her?”
I actually think Amal has something to be worried about. I’m not saying that George and Cindy have had or will have some kind of torrid affair, but George has always had a thing for Cindy. He puts her on a pedestal. He dates women that bear a passing resemblance to Cindy. I believe Cindy is George’s idea of an ideal woman. So… yeah, Amal probably doesn’t want to spend a lot of time with Cindy and Rande.
What else? Let’s see… Amal and George were photographed at the airport last week, headed out of and then back into London. No word on where they went. And ITV released some photos from George’s Christmas-special-promotion with Hugh Bonneville. George did something with the cast of Downton Abbey, because he’s apparently a big fan (and he’s buds with Hugh). Last thing: The Enquirer also claims that Amal is fed up with George’s bizarre bedroom habit! What habit? Oh, George likes to snack in bed and he leaves crumbs everywhere. So George has been hiding his treats in the closet. Cough.
