Jean Smart is a goddess, a queen and an icon. She’s been working steadily for something like forty years, it’s crazy. When Smart won her Emmy last night for Hacks, she got a well-deserved standing ovation from the crowd. She also gave a shout-out to her Mare of Easttown fam, and basically everyone in that room has worked with Jean Smart or wants to work with her at some point. Jean wore this simple Ralph Lauren gown and her son was her date. She spoke about losing her husband Richard Gilliland this year too. *sobbing*

Hannah Einbinder in Prada. One of several pink princess dresses on the Emmy carpet, and few of them suited their wearer’s coloring. She changed into a tuxedo for the HBO after-party though!
