Ozark renewal for to end with two-part final season

OZARK I guess it’s about the time I start watching Ozark.  I do love me some Jason Bateman.  But the end of a season means I never wait for an episode ever. Netflix announced Tuesday that the hit series, which became more popular than ever with the well-timed March release of season 3, has been renewed for a fourth and final season. But the Byrde family will hang around a little longer than usual, considering the concluding run will be expanded to 14 episodes (as opposed to the usual 10) and be split in two parts (seven and seven). The streamer didn’t reveal a premiere date for the new episodes. “We’re so happy Netflix recognized the importance of giving Ozark more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right,” showrunner Chris Mundy said in a statement. “It’s been such a great adventure for all of us — both on screen and off — so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible.” Added star-director-producer Jason Bateman: “A super sized season means super sized problems for the Byrdes. I’m excited to end with a bang(s).” The post Ozark renewal for to end with two-part final season appeared first on Today's Evil Beet Gossip.

Billy Eichner to play Matt Drudge in Clinton-Lewinsky tv drama

Eichner, Drudge So people have been loving the whole move to revisit the biggest scandals of decades past and the Presidential Impeachment of Bill Clinton has GOT to be up high on the list.  The cast is coming along fabulously. Beanie Feldstien is set to play Monica Lewinsky in the Fox mini series. Clive Owen is playing Bill Clinton and now we’ve learned comedian and actor Billy Eichner is going to play right wing blog reporter Matt Drudge! It was the Drudge Report that first broke news of the White House affair on Jan. 17, 1998, then reporting that Newsweek editors were sitting on a story by investigative reporter Michael Isikoff. Sarah Paulson is also in the movie and I’m really interested to see how she play it, because she’s playing Linda Tripp. The woman who taped Monica Lewinsky and turned the tapes over to investigators. She was a larger woman and Paulson would have a long way to go to fill her dress. Anyway, it sounds amazing. I can’t wait. Adam Scott and Craig Robinson’s bromance is coming to TV

Adam Scott and Craig Robinson are TV’s newest odd couple. The pair — who Robinson says met at a party many years ago — are starring in the upcoming Fox comedy “Ghosted,” about two guys taking on paranormal activity together. “We loved working together [on ‘Hot Tub Time Machine 2’],” Scott told Page Six at the ATX TV Festival on Thursday, “So when this popped up … it was like, ‘Oh, this is a perfect thing to do with Craig because I love those ’80s action comedies’ … ‘Midnight Run,’ ‘Beverly Hills Cop,’ ’48 Hours,’ all those movies mean a tremendous amount to all of us.” Scott continued, “It’s an opportunity to both pay tribute and live out childhood fantasies of running around in an action comedy with a hilarious, awesome dude by my side.” Of Scott and Robinson’s obvious bromance, executive producer Tom Gormican added, “They are an odd couple, but they are really good friends and that’s a chemistry that’s difficult to create. It’s great to use that.” So far, they’ve only shot the pilot episode, but in seven weeks they will get back to work filming the last nine of the season. “Ghosted” is set to premiere in the fall on Fox. Cult Fav “Heathers” Gets TV Pilot!

TV Land has ordered a pilot for Heathers, a dark comedy series based on the cult 1988 film.  Leslye Headland is attached to direct, and the pilot is expected to shoot later this fall. The show will be set in the present day, as our heroine deals with a very different but equally vicious group of Heathers. It’s going to be done as an anthology in that each season will deal with a new group of characters and a new story line. A number of attempts have been made to get the classic mean girls flick made into a series, but this is the first to get a pilot green lit. Fingers crossed. I mean it is TVLand, but hopefully they’re taking the project seriously. Filming starts in fall. The post Cult Fav “Heathers” Gets TV Pilot! appeared first on Today's Evil Beet Gossip.
