Just before Y2K (remember that?) Budweiser’s Wassup commercial took the nation by storm. I can’t recall exactly, but I’m pretty sure it debuted during the Super Bowl, and once people saw it, they couldn’t stop saying Wassup!
The more you drew out the “uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup” the better.
Wassup was unstoppable. Toddlers were saying it, grandfathers were saying it, sitcoms were using it too, hell, I think there were even Wassup shirts you could buy. It was ridiculous, but it was also a job well done by an ad agency.
Fast forward to 2013, and the commercial still hasn’t died. In fact, someone has made it better. Now with pot leaves, astronauts, and BOOBS! Pretty sure you will love it.
