Maroon 5 bassist arrested on domestic violence charges

Maroon 5 bassist Mickey Madden has been arrested on allegations of domestic violence. The musician was booked on Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles under penal code 273.5(a) which is described as ‘willfully inflicting a traumatic injury on a spouse or cohabitant’ LAPD confirmed to Page Six. Madden, 41, isn’t married and the identity of the alleged victim has not been given. Madden was released from custody after posting $50,000 bail, the website reports. If convicted he faces up to six years in prison and a $6,000 fine. A spokesperson for Maroon 5 said: ‘We are deeply devastated by this disappointing news. As we learn more, we are looking at this very seriously. ‘For now, we are allowing all of the individuals involved the space to work things through.’ It’s not the first time Madden has had a scrape with the law. He was arrested on cocaine charges in 2016. The post Maroon 5 bassist arrested on domestic violence charges appeared first on Today's Evil Beet Gossip.

Adam Levine promises a Super Bowl half-time show ‘message’

Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine has responded to critics who urged the band to show solidarity with Colin Kaepernick by not to performing at Super Bowl LIII, with the singer hinting that the halftime show will include a social message.   ‘I’m not in the right profession if I can’t handle a little bit of controversy. It is what it is, we expected it,’ Levine said in an interview on Thursday with Entertainment Tonight, three days ahead of the big game in Atlanta. ‘We’d like to move on with it, and like I said earlier, speak though the music,’ Levine said of the band’s plans for Sunday’s championship game between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams. Maroon 5 came under scrutiny when a petition signed by more than 113,000 fans demanded that they withdraw from performing at the Super Bowl to support Kaepernick and other players who kneel during the national anthem.  It should be interesting to see. Taraji P. Henson Thought Coldplay Was Maroon 5 At Super Bowl Halftime Show

You would think it’s pretty common knowledge that Coldplay was the Super Bowl 50 halftime show headliner (though it certainly seemed more like they were the supporting act to Beyonce and Bruno Mars), but apparently that’s wrong. In fact, Taraji P. Henson was jamming out at the big game to what she thought was Maroon 5, giving her life. Alas, Chris Martin is not Adam Levine (thank God), and Taraji’s public blunder was basically the best part of yesterday. I suppose it doesn’t really matter who she was getting her life to, and all that matters is that she was enjoying herself. After all, it’s a pretty hilarious blunder to make and a harmless one at that, so why not just enjoy it for the genius it is? Someone with her must have set her straight on things rather quickly, though, as she hit up Twitter soon after to acknowledge her mistake: Oooooooopppps. Lmao! #Superbowl50 — Taraji P. Henson (@TherealTaraji) February 8, 2016 Oops, indeed! No harm, no foul, Taraji. You just keep doing you. The post Taraji P.
