Jennifer Connelly wore a great Louis Vuitton to the royal ‘Top Gun’ premiere

While the Duchess of Cambridge got the most attention at last night’s royal premiere of Top Gun: Maverick, I do think it’s worth discussing the other women at the premiere! Jennifer Connelly was brought into the sequel, and she plays Maverick’s love interest. Jennifer is a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton, so she’s almost always wearing LV on any given red carpet. It gets a bit boring, but LV gave her some interesting looks for the promotional tour. I actually loved her LV last night. I love the print (which I think is beading, actually), I love the simplicity of the black-and-white on her. And I love that she’s finally doing a real hairstyle and not the scraped-back look she usually does.

As for the men, Tom Cruise wore Brioni, the same brand which Brad Pitt reps. Interesting choice. Miles Teller went with a double-breasted Fendi tuxedo and I actually think he got the best tux/suit look. Miles’s wife Keleigh wore Zuhair Murad. I… love her look as well. I don’t know what’s going on here. Maybe the pandemic made me miss big red carpets or something, but I think everyone looked great?

Also: thanks for sending me this tweet, I completely agree with this theory. The Duchess of Cambridge is rarely photographed next to or in front of women who are thin fashionistas. While there are photos of Kate speaking to J-Con, the way those photos were staged for the bank of photographers made it almost impossible to get a photo of Kate and J-Con together, side-by-side.

So … I have a theory that KP and the rota reject photos where Kate is near women who are as attractive or as thin as she is. Notice the difference between the first picture (posted my KP) vs the typical photos posted by news outlets. Interesting how KP hides J Connelly 🤔 pic.twitter.com/4JAJP3omzp

Why did Taylor Swift cast anti-vaxxer Miles Teller as her d-bag ex? Oh, okay.

taylor miles teller

Taylor Swift’s promotional blitz for Red (Taylor’s Version) continues. Last Friday, she dropped the short film, which she wrote and directed, for “All Too Well.” The video is just a straight narrative of her all too brief relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal, the man who stole her scarf and broke her heart. But that’s not all! She’s just released a music video for a song “from the vault,” as in a song which was not on the original Red album. The song is “I Bet You Think About Me,” and the video was directed by Blake Lively, in what is Blake’s directorial debut. Here we go.

It actually took me a second to understand what was happening – I thought the Taylor character was stalking her ex’s wedding and I was like “well that’s on brand.” But no, the story is that her ex can’t stop thinking about her, even on his wedding day. The Taylor character is a ghost of her ex’s memory. That too is on-brand, and I kind of understand why this one was kept in the vault. She’s expounding on the idea that her ex will always regret leaving her, always regret not marrying her and this is Taylor imagining that her ex is still obsessed with her… even though he was clearly the one to end things? LOL.

What’s weird about this is that her “ex” in the music video is played by Miles Teller, who has been in the news this year because of a lot of reporting around the idea/reality that he’s an anti-vaxxer whose unvaccinated ass spread Covid to cast and crew on a project over the summer. Maybe that was the purpose of hiring Miles Teller: clearly, Taylor Swift and Blake Lively were not looking to make “the ex character” sympathetic. We’re supposed to come out of the video thinking “that guy is a douchebag.” It helps that they cast someone everyone already knows is a douchebag.

Miles Teller is apparently unvaccinated, then got Covid on the set of ‘The Offer’

CELEBRITES : Defile Celine - Paris - 28/02/2020

If you didn’t know that Miles Teller is an actor and I just showed you a photo of his dude-bro face, wouldn’t you think “MAGA anti-vaxxer”? It’s his face. That’s just the vibe he gives off. I have no idea if he’s actually MAGA, but he’s apparently unvaccinated and causing a commotion on the set of The Offer. Miles ended up being the miniseries’ second choice for the lead role after Armie Hammer dropped out in a storm of cannibalism and rapist controversy. The Offer is about the making of The Godfather, and Miles plays Albert S. Ruddy, whose memoir is the source material for the series (holy sh-t, Matthew Goode is playing Robert Evans!!). The miniseries has been filming for a few months, and in July, the production was shut down briefly because…people tested positive for Covid. And Miles was suspected to be the unvaccinated Typhoid Mary.

Whiplash star Miles Teller was unvaccinated and refused a Covid test before testing positive on a Hollywood set, shutting down production, a senior industry source claims. Filming for Paramount Plus Series The Offer was shut down on July 28 after a production member tested positive for the virus, according to a studio spokesperson. And a source close to the executive team for the show told DailyMail.com that that patient is Teller, 34, and that the actor had refused to get a vaccine or a previous Covid test before testing positive on set in Los Angeles.

‘Miles Teller is not vaccinated. He wouldn’t even get the test,’ the source told DailyMail.com. ‘Now he’s brought the virus to the set and the whole set had to shut down.’

The star’s publicist, Lauren Hozempa, told DailyMail.com: ‘Your facts are incorrect,’ but declined to elaborate further.

Property records list Teller’s address as a $2.5 million home in Studio City, Los Angeles. A woman who answered the intercom at the property told DailyMail.com she did not know him, even though a UPS delivery ticket stuck to the intercom was addressed to M. Teller.

Teller, who had a leading role in The Spectacular Now and the Divergent series, stars in The Offer, a show about the making of the blockbuster 1972 movie The Godfather, alongside Giovanni Ribisi, Collin Hanks, Matthew Goode, Juno Temple and Dan Fogler.

‘Out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily halted production… We will continue to follow all safety protocols and monitor the situation closely,’ a spokesperson for Paramount Television Studios told Deadline. Filming has since resumed for The Offer and Teller returned to the set.

[From The Daily Mail]

“Your facts are incorrect” – what the hell kind of denial is that? That being said, it’s gross that the Daily Mail sent someone to his home and rang the intercom. I’m not advocating for the harassment of anti-Vaxxers at their homes, come on. Harass them on the street, fire them from their jobs and yell at them online, by all means. But it’s creepy to go to someone’s home. Anyway, SAG-AFTRA needs to mandate vaccines to all of their union members. Every Hollywood production, every studio, every streaming company needs to mandate vaccines for everyone and everything. The end. And Miles Teller seems like a total douche.

Miles Teller was jumped by two men & punched in the face during his Maui vacation

188047781_797902394489955_4576060240020947141_n

Whenever I see Miles Teller on-screen, I’m always taken aback by how he tends to tower over his costars. His height is listed as only six feet, but on-screen, he definitely seems taller and bigger. He seems like he has the kind of presence where other men just avoid f–king with him. Except that two men decided to f–k with him in Maui, where he was vacationing with his wife, Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers. Miles and Keleigh were dining out and Miles got jumped in a restaurant bathroom. This was TMZ’s initial story:

Miles Teller was assaulted during his vacation in Hawaii … TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the incident occurred Wednesday at the Monkeypod Kitchen on the island of Maui, where Miles and his wife, Keleigh Sperry, were eating dinner. Sources who were at the restaurant tell TMZ, Miles was in the bathroom when a man confronted him and punched him in the face. We’re told the 2 got into it outside the bathroom and Miles screamed that he was going to press charges.

Miles and Keleigh left the restaurant … he did not appear to be seriously injured.

We’re told the man who punched Miles allegedly was a wedding planner who claimed Miles owed him $60,000 for services he performed for Miles’ wedding in Maui back in 2019. Our eyewitnesses claim the man was complaining to Miles he had not gotten paid.

Cops confirm the incident went down Wednesday at around 7:30 PM. No one was arrested but cops say they’re investigating.

[From TMZ]

Hours after TMZ’s story came out, Keleigh took to her IG to say that the part about Miles owing the guy money was false, and that Miles was actually jumped by two men:

Miles Teller’s wife, Keleigh Sperry Teller, is speaking out after her husband was attacked during the couple’s Hawaii vacation this week. Shortly after reports surfaced Friday that the actor was punched in the face at a restaurant in Hawaii, Sperry Teller, 28, released a statement on her Instagram Story, confirming that an altercation had occurred, while disputing reports that it was over an unpaid bill.

“The story reported about Miles being punched in the face by @TMZ over ‘money’ is completely false,” she wrote. “Miles was jumped by 2 men we have never met after they trapped him in a bathroom. It seems these same men have done this to many people and we appreciate your support Maui. This is now a criminal investigation.”

Shailene Woodley, who vacationed in Hawaii with her fiancé Aaron Rodgers and the couple, also shared the message on her Instagram Story.

On Saturday, Teller tweeted in response to Pat McAfee, who mocked the actor’s incident on Twitter with a clip from WWE. “I got jumped by two guys in a bathroom. Never met them before in my life but ya cool wrestling segue bud,” Teller told McAfee, who later apologized.

[From People]

“…Jumped by 2 men we have never met after they trapped him in a bathroom. It seems these same men have done this to many people…” Ah, so it was like a literal tourist trap scam, they were probably trying to get his wallet or his watch or something. That’s really screwed up. My first thought wasn’t that it was some kind of unpaid wedding vendor or some kind of horrible tourist scam. My first thought was that it could have been something like what happened to Kim Kardashian in Paris, where people were monitoring Keleigh’s social media to figure out where Miles and Keleigh were and that the Tellers were directly targeted. But now it sounds like those two men regularly jump tourists. Awful.

Aaron Rodgers is vacationing with Shailene instead of practicing with the Packers

aaron shailene4

The last time we checked in on Aaron Rodgers & Shailene Woodley, they were attending the Kentucky Derby with Miles Teller and Miles’ wife Keleigh. It was yet another odd chapter for this very odd couple. Aaron and Shailene have seemingly been together for a little less than a year. They got engaged after – maybe – four months of dating. And now Aaron is blowing off his off-season practices with the Green Bay Packers and having fun in Hawaii with Shailene and the Tellers. Sports journalists are left checking Keleigh Teller’s Instagram for Aaron’s Hawaiian vacation update, and they’ve found a lot! I’m including some of the photos and videos in this post. Obviously, the sports media has their panties in a bunch:

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is having a dramatic offseason, if you haven’t heard. That isn’t stopping him from enjoying a vacation in Hawaii with actress Shailene Woodley (his fiancée), actor Miles Teller and Teller’s wife, Keleigh. So that’s a vacation with a Sundance nominee, an Emmy and Golden Globe nominee, and a three-time NFL MVP.

Rodgers won the 2020 MVP award after a 48-touchdown season that saw the Packers lose in the NFC Championship Game. That came after the Packers drafted a quarterback in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft. Rodgers hosted “Jeopardy!” this spring and then ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Rodgers wanted out of Green Bay.

Rodgers clearly isn’t in Wisconsin this week as the Packers start their offseason program.

[From ESPN]

I actually appreciate that sports fans and sports journalists are going fully to the “blame Shailene” argument. It is clear that Aaron has been unhappy with the Packers, or maybe he’s just unhappy with football at the moment. Maybe Shailene has opened his eyes to the life he could have post-football. Or maybe he just wants to move teams. Who knows. Personally, I don’t know what’s weirder, Aaron and Shailene’s relationship or the fact that Miles and Shailene (who have been frequent costars) are mega-tight and take group trips and group vacations. Miles is a meathead bro! Shailene is a granola-crunching, forest-dwelling bajingo-sunner. None of this makes any sense!

Alden Enrenreich, 26, cast as the ‘young Han Solo’: great choice or meh?

wenn23481851

Last year, we learned that a huge slate of Star Wars-themed sequels, prequels and spin-offs were in the pipeline at Disney. One of the biggest projects was a combo prequel/spinoff, featuring the story of a pre-New Hope Han Solo. This is not going to be a straight up origin story with Han Solo’s childhood! The focus was always going to be on Han Solo as a 20-something dude, what he was up to before he met Luke Skywalker. The casting call went far and wide, and eventually Disney had the list culled to a who’s who of “really?” The shortlist featured names like Miles Teller, Scott Eastwood, Alden Ehrenreich, Logan Lerman, Emory Cohen and Ansel Elgort. The list was culled even further back in March, and now industry sources say that Disney has finally found their Young Solo: 26-year-old Alden Ehrenreich.

After thousands of actors were considered to portray a younger Han Solo for a “Star Wars” spinoff, Alden Ehrenreich has landed the coveted role. Hollywood sources tell us Ehrenreich has signed on to play the iconic role, made famous by Harrison Ford, in the new movie, slated for 2018, which will focus on Solo before he joined the Rebel Alliance.

One insider told us of Ehrenreich, 26, who most recently appeared in “Hail, Caesar!”: “Alden really impressed Disney and Lucasfilm execs with his screen tests. The deal is basically done.”

Relatively little-known Ehrenreich — who’s also the lead in Warren Beatty’s upcoming, untitled Howard Hughes project with Fox — beat out candidates including “Divergent” stars Miles Teller and Ansel Elgort, Scott Eastwood, “Kingsman” and “Eddie the Eagle” star Taron Egerton, and “Sing Street” star Jack Reynor. The casting of the Han Solo character has been so shrouded in secrecy it was named “Project Red Cup,” in reference to the ubiquitous red plastic Solo cups.

The film won’t start shooting until January, but reports are that the early casting is because the new Solo will have a cameo in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” which is now shooting. That film is said to be set between “Episode III” and “Episode IV.” Reps for Ehrenreich didn’t get back to us.

[From Page Six]

I thought Rogue One was already in the can, but maybe not if they’re giving themselves time to film a quickie cameo with the new Solo. As for this choice… I don’t hate it. Alden is probably one of the best choices from the shortlist they had. He’s attractive (very much so), boyish, but with a slight bad-boy vibe that is desperately needed for Han Solo.

I wanted to hear his voice, so I looked up some interviews and… this kid is CUTE. He has a really sexy smile. Nice voice too.

Miles Teller on JK Simmons’ work: ‘I’ve seen like five minutes of a lot of s—t’

MIS-000239

Miles Teller is still happening, you guys. I can’t help it! He’s promoting Whiplash and everyone loves the film, so Miles is still doing interviews. He’s already thrown shade at Divergent, John Cusack’s career and his Whiplash costar J.K. Simmons. Who’s next? Well, I made my way through Miles’ new Yahoo Movies interview and it’s like he’s doubling-down on all of the previous shade and then some. You can read the full piece here. Some highlights:

The push-back from his candid interviews: “In all my interviews, I am very candid. I don’t censor myself, but also I’m very proud of the career I have. I’m not a f—king bad person. I don’t think I’m better than anybody so I don’t really worry too much about what comes out of my mouth.”

Miles on his costar JK Simmons: “I’ve never seen him in anything. I never saw Juno. I’ve seen like five minutes of a lot of s—t. I know him from the Farmers Insurance commercials. Oh, [and] I saw him in Spider-Man.”

How he cries on camera: “I think about the Phillies, and the season that they’re having, and it just pours out. They were pretty bad this year and last year, pretty dogs—t.”

His friend Shailene Woodley claims she can’t get ahold of him: “Yeah. That’s because she doesn’t have a phone and she lives in a tree. I was just talking to her earlier. She talks to me for a little bit, then she’ll just f—king disappear.”

Whether he’s adopted a “one for them, one for me” strategy with films: “No, because honestly, I don’t feel like I’ve ever done a “one for them” type of film. For me, it’s always about the script and the people I want to work with. I’ve been offered literally a million dollars to do a s—tty script, and I have not done it. You think about it for a second, but I think you want to be very precious with your résumé, and the choices you make, you should be able to defend them.”

Talking about money: “People don’t ever want you to talk about money if you’re an actor, because they just assume you’re making tons and tons of money. For The Spectacular Now, [I made] literally, like, 6 grand. For Whiplash, [I made] literally, like, a couple thousand dollars — not even $10,000. So for me to make what somebody with a college degree makes, I would have to make nine Spectacular Nows a year. I love doing independent films, because you have more control of your character. Yet as soon as you start doing a lot of studio films, it’s like, “Oh, you’re selling out.” So it’s a fine line there. “

He’s a proper actor: “Yeah. I didn’t want to make it this whole generational thing, because it can be for any generation… I got my theater training up in New York. I went to school for it. And I think a lot of people want this kind of instant gratification, this Millennial thing. It’s like, you make a YouTube video, and then if you get enough views, you can get a TV show out of it, and all this reality television stuff. For me, all that stuff wasn’t around and yeah, I think acting is absolutely a very rich craft, and it should be something that should be practiced. It’s not something where you can just kind of go and f—king wing it. I think you should be aware other actors, and the stuff that’s come before you, and what you want to do. I think they should take it very seriously.

[From Yahoo]

At Yahoo, there’s an extremely lengthy conversation about what went down with his W Magazine interview, the same one where he threw shade at Divergent and said he felt “dead inside.” In this interview, he goes back and forth between saying he was misquoted and saying that W Mag took his comments out of context. It’s pretty clear that he said what he said to W and he’s still dealing with some fallout from it, but I actually give him props for trying to talk his way out of it. And honestly, considering the heap of BS that comes out of this kid’s mouth, I don’t even think his Divergent shade was all that bad. I’m personally more offended that he’s still telling people that he barely knows JK Simmons’ filmography whatsoever while just a few minutes later, he’s talking about the importance of knowing other actors’ filmography. This kid’s a punk.
