Good news for Christian Slater…he’s engaged!
The 43-year-old actor appeared on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night and announced that he’d asked longtime girlfriend Brittany Lopez to marry him and she’d said YES!
He also explained how the couple met saying, “I went down to Miami a couple years ago, stayed at this little place (resort) called Little Palm Island… and this girl came walking along with another lady, a slightly older lady.”
“I was sitting in my usual spot, eating my oatmeal that morning… and this spot was famous for people proposing to each other… and next thing I know she gets down on one knee and proposes to this older lady…”
He continues, “I thought I had just witnessed a nice lesbian engagement, so I was coming over to say congratulations, but it turns out it was her aunt and she was just trying to help her aunt capture the beauty and the romance of the moment. She was making a joke, and I witnessed it, and it intrigued me, and the next thing I know we were hanging out in the Everglades.”
Awww, and the rest is history.
This will be Slater’s second marriage. He was married to journalist Ryan Haddon from 2000 to 2007. They have two children together, 13-year-old Jaden and 11-year-old Eliana.
I can’t believe how excited I was to stumble upon this story, it seriously brought out the freaky, Christian Slater obsessed teen in me, you have no idea. I love, love, loved this man and have probably watched Heathers (my favorite movie ever), Pump Up The Volume, and True Romance thousands of times. He’s still such a heartthrob!
