Dollar Shave Club came up with a fantastic idea, inexpensive, good quality blades sent to customers every month, for a minimal price. The club boasts it’s $1 razors, but really, there are other options as well. Read on for our review.
I had a friend ask me if the service was a scam, and I was quick to tell her it is not. I have had no problems with billing, service, or my razor blades! In fact, I find I am changing my blades more often, and I am still spending way less than I was while buying replacement cartridges in drug stores. I also LOVE Dollar Shave Club’s creative campaigns. They send you silly (yet clever) postcards with your cartridges, and seem to go the extra mile to get a laugh out of you. Who can’t use a good laugh these days?
So you’re probably wondering about your options, right? Here they are:
$1 a Month:
5 – Twin blade, stainless steel cartridges with aloe strip, basic and to the point. Great for starving college students.
$6 a Month:
4 – Quad blade, stainless steel cartridges with aloe strip. This one is great for ladies too. Yes, women can be a part of the Dollar Shave Club too! This blade has better construction, for a better shave.
$9 a Month:
4- Six stainless steel blades (seriously?!) and trimmer edge. This one is dubbed “The Executive” and is probably more than you need. Better for sensitive skin and tough beards.
What if you aren’t using all your razors every month? Simply login to your account and switch to every other month deliveries! It’s that simple. And if you want to upgrade OR downgrade your blades, you can login to your Dollar Shave Club account at any time and do so. Simplicity at it’s finest!
Personally, I find the $6 plan the best one for me. The blades work great for both my husband and I, and we haven’t felt the need to upgrade to the Executive blades. I would absolutely recommend the Dollar Shave Club to anyone looking to stop the headache of buying extremely overpriced razor cartridges in stores. Not only are they good, they are affordable, and it’s so easy to control what you are getting, and how often. Never worry again about running out of cartridges, Dollar Shave Club does all the work for you. You just have to walk to your mailbox and fetch them.
