Oh gawd, it’s time for another Mariah Carey “moment”.
You know the kind. She has to be the star of the room and be the one everyone has their eyes on. As people stare at, lust for, and envy her, she parades around like a little girl looking to be judged in a beauty pageant. Except she always wins.
So this year is Mariah and Nick’s 5-year wedding anniversary. I just celebrated my 10-year last month. It was our first vow renewal, and I actually got a diamond ring and a trip to Hawaii. It was sooo romantic and very special.
Anyhow, enough about me. I can’t be an attention whore in a post where I’m calling out someone for being an attention whore…heh.
For their 5-year wedding anniversary and annual vow renewal, Mariah and Nick CLOSED DOWN Disneyland. If that isn’t a big enough statement, they also reenacted Cinderella’s arrival to the ball, and of course, Mariah Carey was dripping in princess couture.
Pretty sure Mariah’s vow renewals are more about her and less about the actual renewal of vows…

My train is so fabulous, and complicated, that it takes a trio of servants to hold me up- or maybe it’s just that I’ve drank two bottles of wine….
And the ridiculous entrance, which Mariah calls her “Grand Entrance #430.” Nothing says attention whore like a glowing, blinged out pumpkin carriage.
For some reason ( I cannot imagine WHY) I would love to see Mariah Carey live like a real person one day. And not a mansion dwelling normal person, I mean like someone who lives paycheck-to-paycheck, lives in the suburbs and has to work (with the public, of course) from 9-5 everyday. You know, just like the movie Trading Places with Dan Akroyd and Eddie Murphy. From riches to rags. A week would probably KILL her.
Oh well. It will never, ever happen. Just like Disneyland will never, ever close it’s gates just for you.
I should probably give Mariah and Nick props for being married this long. I never thought it would last, so hey, they proved me wrong there. Congrats, Nick. I have absolutely no IDEA how you do it. Kudos.
