Here are some photos of Jennifer Lopez in the Hamptons. She was on a shopping excursion with her sister Linda. Ben Affleck was not around! It’s been said that Jennifer’s favorite home is her Hamptons mansion, and I bet she’s so happy to have Ben there, and to bring in some family and friends and entertain there. Apparently, Jen also called in (?) to Zane Lowe at Apple Music and gave him an exclusive interview:
Jennifer Lopez is loving her life right now — without chalking that up to anyone specific, of course.
“I’m super happy,” the “Let’s Get Loud” singer, 51, enthused to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe on Monday. “I know people are always wondering, ‘How are you? What’s going on? Are you okay?’ This is it. I’ve never been better. I want my people who care about me — because I care about them so much — to know that I’ve really gotten to a place in my life where I’m great on my own,” Lopez continued, despite constantly being seen in the presence of a certain former Batman as of late.
“And I think once you get to that place, then amazing things happen to you that you never imagine in your life happening again,” she explained, without delineating any of those things. “And so that is where I’m at.” Conspicuously avoiding any mention of a writer/director born in California but indelibly associated with Boston in the popular imagination, Lopez added: “I love all the love that’s coming my way right now and all of the good wishes. And I just want everybody to know that it’s the best time. It’s the best time of my life.”
There’s actually no question in my mind that J.Lo is very happy right now. Ben is probably showering her with attention, he wrote that love letter full of longing (so she knows he wants this), he’s handling the paparazzi a lot better and she’s getting laid. It’s all win-win for J.Lo. Now, will we hear from Ben about whether or not *he* is happy right now? I don’t know. As for Jen being happy to be on her own… she has not been on her own in nearly five years. Jen is made of lies, but it’s okay. Speaking of, there is this really funny/dumb Bennifer story in OK! Magazine:
Since rekindling their romance in May, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have “received a ton of scripts to star together in rom-coms and other flicks – and they’re actually considering it. The idea of working together on a movie sounds very intriguing,” a source tells OK!, adding that despite the failure of their last joint projects (Gigli and Jersey Girl), they feel confident about coming together again on-camera.
“Gigli was a disaster but Hollywood has a short-term memory, and Jennifer and Ben feel they have it in them to give it another shot and do it better.”
In fact, one script has particularly caught Jennifer’s interest. “It’s about a couple who reunite years after they screwed it up the first time,” dishes the source. “It sounds familiar and that’s why she feels it would be fun to do.” Ben is on board too. “Jennifer had to convince him that it was a great idea, but it didn’t take much, just some love and teasing,” says the source. “Anyone who knows Jennifer also knows she likes to do business with the men she dates and Ben is no exception.”
While they’re excited about what the future holds, Ben and Jennifer are also being cautious. “They’re not rushing things,” notes the source. “They’re basking in the romance and want to allow their relationship to develop before officially signing on to a joint project. It feels so right this time – they don’t want to mess anything up.”

It’s never occurred to me that Jennifer loves to get financially tangled up with her men but it’s true. She does that all the time, in almost every relationship. As for the idea that Ben and Jen are already getting tons of scripts… eh. Jen probably does want to work with Ben but hopefully he won’t go down that road again. And people still use “Gigli” as a punchline, so it’s not like everyone has forgotten about it.
