Liam Gallagher Banned From Pub In London

Liam Gallagher banned from a pub on Mother’s Day? It’s true!

Liam Gallagher was super wasted on Mother’s Day (in the UK, the holiday is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent), which fell on Sunday, March 10 this year, and the owners of The Queens Pub in London were not having it.

The English rocker was reportedly banned from the bar after showing up inebriated and slurring. Says the pub’s manager: “We just said we couldn’t serve him because he was too drunk. He was treated like any normal customer. It doesn’t matter who you are — if we think you are too drunk we will not serve you.”

The establishment’s people made the news public on their Twitter feed, writing: “We’ve had to kick Liam Gallagher out twice today. He asked whether it was because he was a rock star. We said no, just a drunken twit.” The comments have since been deleted, but the internet is fast than they are, and the tweet was re-tweeted multiple times before disappearing.

According to NME, the Beady Eye frontman showed up to the pub drunk on Sunday with his buddy and former Oasis bandmate Bonehead. With the restaurant full of families celebrating the holiday, the manager decided it was best to turn him away, just like he did earlier in the week.

Says the manager regarding the incidents: “He was fine about it and left without a fuss. He’d been refused a drink earlier in the week, I think it was Wednesday evening. He was slurring his words.”

This really isn’t that big of a deal and it’s certainly not a surprise. Would we expect anything else from Liam other than drunken, obnoxious behavior every single day and night? No, we wouldn’t.
