46 year-old Sherri Shepard recently shared her successful weight loss & getting healthy story – from Daily Mail:
Successful dieter Sherri Shepherd has revealed that she eats before visiting restaurants because it stops her from overindulging in the wrong things. The five-foot-one-inch comedienne and co-host of The View told ABC News that the unconventional technique has helped her lose more than 60lbs off her 197lb frame.
To keep unhealthy cravings at bay during the day she carries apples and peanut butter in her purse and drinks water over diet soda.
‘[It] give[s] me that boost of energy to get me through the day,’ the 46-year-old mother-of-one said.
She added that when it comes to mealtime, ‘great conversation’ should be the primary focus, not getting stuffed on food.
‘A lot of times, you go to a restaurant and you’re so hungry,’ she said. ‘I eat before I go . . . So, I’m already full and that helps me.‘
Ms Shepard revealed earlier this year how being diagnosed with diabetes saved her life. Before this said she consumed so much food that she could have effectively eaten herself into an early grave. Even after being diagnosed with diabetes she failed to stop her huge consumption of food that saw her weight balloon to almost 200lbs. It was only after doctors told her if she would not be around to raise her eight-year-old son, Jeffrey, that she started taking the illness seriously.
