Here are some photos from the annual Serpentine Gallery event, which was held last night. Fun fact: Princess Diana wore her famous little-black-revenge-dress to the Serpentine Gallery reception in 1994. This year, Cate Blanchett – who is now living in England full-time and integrated within the upper echelon of British society – acted as co-chair of the Summer Party. Cate wore Dilara Findikoglu to the event… and I really dislike it! She loves oddball stuff like this though. Cate fully wore conch shells on her hips.

Alicia Vikander in custom Louis Vuitton – this is prettier from a distance and very bridesmaidy up close.

Kelly Osbourne looks like this now.

Lord Freddie Windsor and his wife Sophie Winkleman were there. He always looks like the pale horse ridden by Death.

Lady Amelia Spencer and Lady Eliza Spencer coordinated in red for some reason. Also very bridesmaidy.

Minnie Driver looks great from the neck up, but this has got to be one of the most unflattering dresses. It’s literally designed to be tent-shaped.

Jourdan Dunn was like the only one there who heard “summer party” and actually wore a cute, fun cocktail dress.

Lupita Nyong’o in McQueen to the ‘Wakanda Forever’ UK premiere: meh or fine?

Here are some photos from last night’s London premiere for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. One of the things I’ve enjoyed about the promotion and energy around this sequel is that it’s very women-forward. Meaning, Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Michael Coel, Florence Kasumba and Danai Guirara are the faces of the franchise right now. I feel like that’s an elegant legacy for the late Chadwick Boseman too, because he always stood up for the women in his life. Anyway, Lupita Nyong’o wore Alexander McQueen. This is not my favorite, and judging by Lupita’s face, this is not her favorite either. She hasn’t stuck with one designer for this press tour, but I wish she had skipped this boring, unflattering McQueen.

Michaela Coel wore Riccardo Tisci. Is this as simple as it looks? Because it looks like a tank bodysuit and a lace sarong. That being said, she’s working it. She looks great.

Florence Kasumba looked like she was wearing a stained-glass window. Her dress is so striking!

Letitia Wright in what is probably (?) Armani. Such a simple, classic design and it suits her slender figure.

Bella Hadid wore vintage Gianni Versace in Cannes: stunning or poorly styled?

Donatella Versace has been allowing celebrities to pull looks from the Gianni Versace archives with more frequency this year. I don’t know how I feel about it? Like, I remember some of Gianni’s designs from the first time around, and new generations should absolutely get to see them. But I do think the scarcity is what makes so many of those vintage pieces so special. All of which to say, Bella Hadid did justice to this vintage Gianni Versace in Cannes, but saying that, I wish she hadn’t been allowed to borrow it. The gown is amazing! Bella’s hair and makeup isn’t great – she did the one-strand-in-her-face thing, like a ‘90s throwback. She also did sad/tired/somewhat goth with her makeup. All in all, completely ‘90s.

Cara Delevingne in bespoke Balmain, with her designer date, Olivier Rousteing. There were very few good photos of the actual dress, because Olivier kept trying to pose Cara in interesting ways and she… um, couldn’t do any of it. Don’t do drugs, kids.

Diane Kruger wore Oscar de la Renta and walked with her partner Norman Reedus. Are you surprised these two are still happening? I’m surprised. I also think Diane’s once-badass fashion sense completely abandoned her once she got with Norman. This is the kind of dress I would expect to see on Eva Longoria!

Jourdan Dunn in a mullet dress… I like the color but that’s about it. It’s, like, part puffy prom dress and part comforter? It’s bad.

Izabel Goulart in Ashi Studio. This is so fun! She wears it really well too.

Letitia Wright wore Fendi, yet another mullet dress to fit this year’s “let’s see if people still hate mullet dresses” trend. This is like “nun up top, party in the back.”

Penelope Cruz in Versace at UK ‘Zoolander 2′ premiere: stunning or cheap?

For the past week, various members of the Zoolander 2 cast have been making their way through Europe, doing smaller premieres and photocalls. But last night was the big London premiere, and everyone came out for it. Everyone but Benedict Cumberbatch, and I was really hoping he would come! I guess he’s working on Doctor Strange and he couldn’t get away. Sad. Anyway, there was a surprising lack of big fashion moments from the premiere, but I’ve tried to select some of the best or most interesting looks. Let’s start with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, or Derek and Hansel. Owen has seemed to be having the most fun out of everyone.

Here’s Penelope Cruz in Atelier Versace. Considering the latest Versace collection is really messy and poorly designed, I kind of think Penelope picked the best look available to her. It’s simple and kind of game-show-hostess-y.

Kristin Wiig wore vintage Yves Saint Laurent (and Prada shoes). All I have to say is… this? Really? You’re going to carefully select a vintage look for a big fashion-friendly event and you choose this ill-fitting cocktail dress with an ugly stomach bow? I like Wiig a lot, but whenever I see her on the red carpet, I feel like she’s taking style cues from Jennifer Aniston and Wiig is much, much better than that.

Jourdan Dunn in Ralph & Russo. This was one of my favorite looks. On another woman, it would have been a hot mess, but this looks cute on her.

I can’t find the ID on Lara Stone’s dress. It’s cute, but a lot of women did metallics on this carpet and Lara didn’t stand out at all.

Natalie Dormer in Blumarine. She certainly got her girls out for the cameras, didn’t she? If the V wasn’t so wide and everything wasn’t falling out, I would have really liked this dress.
