Can you imagine one of your good friends choosing to invite your ex to an annual party they’re having instead of you? It’s got to hurt, but that’s just what Madonna did when she invited Ashton Kutcher to her Oscar party this year instead of inviting his soon-to-be ex-wife Demi Moore!
A source close to the backstabbing sitch tells Radar, “Madonna is firmly on side Ashton,” adding, “She adores him and thinks that out of him and Demi he’s the one with the glittering career. Also, Madonna loves having Ashton around as he’s great eye candy, he’s funny and he flirts outrageously with her — In Madonna’s eyes, there’s no competition – when it comes to picking sides Ashton is the obvious winner!”
Apparently Demi’s absence did not go unnoticed by the A-list crowd. The insider continued on, “When Ashton walked in it got the crowd buzzing! Madonna’s never spoken about the split, but it’s obvious she’s sided with him over Demi. It was kind of shocking, as Demi has even hosted the party with Madonna in the past, so it’s even more of a mega snub! Madonna clearly loves Ashton though, they were dancing together a lot throughout the night and flirting up a storm!”
Madonna, who traditionally holds the party on Oscar night at her manager Guy Oseary’s mega mansion, had Hollywood’s who’s who attend including Daniel Day Lewis, Jack Nicholson, Salma Hayek, George Clooney (“pizza chef extraordinaire”), Ryan Gosling, and a bunch more.
Radar is saying that Madge had a strict ‘no camera’ policy enforced at the soiree so there’s no photographic evidence of any of this, but I sure hope some hoodlum was able to sneak some pics. We want the dirt, we want the dirt!
And I’m counting my blessings that I don’t have any friends that would pull that kind of backstabbery. Those aren’t friends, those are enemies.
