Katy Perry and John Mayer split up again: Is This It?
Katy Perry and John Mayer have decided to give their relationship another rest. Several sources have confirmed the news to UsWeekly.
The pair, who first began dating last summer, took a short-lived break in August, but since they’d gotten back together a month later they seemed to be going pretty strong. Perry even recently tweeted (March 2) that Mayer was going to take her kitty shelter shopping, writing, “My boyfriend is taking me to a kitten shelter in his truck. I can’t think of a more perfect Saturday.”
How things change.
One friend of the couple admits that although the news is sad, “it’s not over until it’s over.” They go on to say, “You have to see how things play out.”
Another insider added: “She’s leaving the window open. They have both been so focused on work.”
Recently, Perry has been in the studio recording her third album. Mayer, on the other hand, has been taking it easy on his vocal chords and trying to heal from the throat surgery he had last year. He’s set to go on tour later this year and is reportedly doing a Google Hangout chat this coming Thursday, March 21.
Aww, I liked this quirky pair together and I definitely liked Mayer much more with a girl like Perry. She seems like a good match for him and like she’d put him in his place, but maybe this isn’t the end for the two of them. I guess we’ll see.
