Lots of people aren’t very happy about the fact that Kim & Kanye got their own Vogue cover, and I can’t really blame them. These two are a disaster, and certainly not really meant for the cover of a premiere fashion magazine (though try telling them that). While plenty of celebrities had their complaints, I’m sure, one stood brave enough to actually throw shade publicly, and it was none other than Buffy the Vampire Slayer herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar. I mean, in one sense, Sarah Michelle Gellar has been on the cover of Vogue zero times, so there could be a bit of hateration there. In the other sense, I totally get where she’s coming from. The magazine took a massive step down by putting Kimye on the cover, 100%, but I think it’s pretty hilarious that SMG (and so many others) have sworn it off forever because of this. Meanwhile, Anna Wintour has insisted that Kimye didn’t beg for the cover, it was TOTALLY her own decision (LOL, kay): “Part of the pleasure of editing Vogue, one that lies in a long tradition of this magazine, is being able to feature those who define the culture at any given moment, who stir things up, whose presence in the world shapes the way it looks and influences the way we see it,” Wintour, 64, wrote. “I think we can all agree on the fact that that role is currently being played by Kim and Kanye to a T. (Or perhaps that should be to a K?)” “As for the cover, my opinion is that it is both charming and touching, and it was, I should add, entirely our idea to do it; you may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancee on Vogue‘s cover. He did nothing of the sort,” she explained. “The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isn’t true.” HAHAHA. Yeah, alright. Follow us on Twitter | Facebook
