Rihanna could end up like John Lennon, says a judge

Rihanna is living in New York now (WHY HAVEN’T I SEEN HER?!), but things aren’t all honky dory in the Big Apple, because she’s apparently got a crazy ass stalker who could kill her just like Mark David Chapman killed John Lennon if this situation keeps going. From The Mirror: New York City judge Orlando Marrazzo said: “He appears to be a ticking time bomb who is wholly fixated on [Rihanna], and poses a direct threat of serious physical harm or death to her and anyone around her.” He also ruled that the alleged stalker was unfit to stand trial and he ordered that the accused should be committed to a psychiatric hospital in Staten Island, New York. However, Mr McGlynn has filed a petition seeking release from the psychiatric institute. The court ordered that the man must stay away from the ‘Diamonds’ hitmaker’s home in Manhattan and the police have been directed that they can arrest him if he is found near the singer’s property. The accused – who was arrested in July this year on alleged stalking offences – has also been banned from contacting the 26-year-old singer by telephone, mail or computer. The 54-year-old homeless man was arrested after reportedly writing a series of notes to the singer, which made references to murder and sexual assault. Seriously, I don’t know if all the millions and millions of dollars and fancy lifestyle is worth this bullshit. Not like crazy people don’t target non-celebrities, as well, but it seems so much more common when you’re in the public eye. Hopefully they can put this guy away – though I’m sure there are plenty of other nutsos ready to stalk where he came from! Follow us on Twitter | Facebook

Rihanna is dodging Tyler Perry and it’s Whitney Houston’s fault

Rihanna‘s not really what you would call an actress, despite that awful appearance in Battleship – and I say that as a Rihanna fan. Singer? Of course. Fashion plate? I’ll buy it. However, she’s still hot shit in the celebrity world, so of course Mr. Madea himself, Tyler Perry, wants to book her in for a new movie role. The problem is, that’s never going to happen because Whitney Houston told RiRi before she died that Tyler Perry movies are for “fading black stars”. Ouch! From Radar: “Whitney put her off Tyler by warning her bluntly that ‘Tyler’s films are for fading black stars, not rising ones,’” the source said. “Rihanna so respected Whitney because in addition to being one of the biggest pop stars ever, she starred in hit movies such as The Bodyguard.” And Rihanna, also a multi-talented star, feels it will be better for her career to do something similar to the 2012 science fiction war film Battleship, for which she received glowing reviews, the source said. “She’s ruling out doing a Tyler Perry-style romantic comedy because she thinks she works better in action roles, playing the tough girl.” HAHAHA, okay. First of all, please tell me they’re going to continue making movies based on board games so Rihanna can star. Maybe she can play the role of The Car in the Monopoly movie? What about Lord Licorice in Candyland? I’m into it. Second of all, I feel like I need to watch the Madea movies now. Are they on Netflix? Follow us on Twitter | Facebook

Rihanna’s Not Trying to Be a Rebel

I feel like Rihanna has kinda tamed herself in the past several months – or maybe we’re just that desensitized to her crotch patting, stripper visiting, ass-baring ways. Either way, I wasn’t really moved by her new interview in Vogue, in which she insists that she’s not trying to be a rebel, she’s just unconventional and likes going against the grain. Fair enough, of course, but I don’t really see Rihanna as a rebel at this point. She’s just… RiRi. She likes to get her ass out and smoke a lot of weed and that’s what she does. She’s never been a role model and isn’t trying to be and yada yada… so why is this still a discussion? Here’s what she had to say, anyway: “I don’t go out of my way to be a rebel or to have that perception, but a lot of the decisions I make, a lot of the direction I want to move, is against the grain, or against society’s tight lane. “I’m aware of that sometimes. It might not be fitting with the norm, but that’s okay for me.” Cool. On a side note, that hand tattoo is just horrendous. Why would you layer tattoos on top of one another? Why? And then show it off in a magazine? Just personal preference, of course, but dear God. Follow us on Twitter | Facebook
