Three things irrevocably changed the American population during the pandemic. One, over 1.1 million people died, leaving gaping holes in families and communities. Two, people’s lives were ripped apart by long covid and the longterm effects of covid infections, which we still don’t completely understand. We basically have a not-insignificant part of the population still dealing with health issues years after their covid infections. Three, we learned that millions of people living in America are absolute morons who hate and don’t understand science, vaccines and public health. Evangeline Lilly showed her ass during the pandemic and it’s never been the same for her since. In the early days of the pandemic, she arrogantly declared that quarantines are bullsh-t and “freedom” is more important than any public health measure. Then she went to that bonkers anti-vaxx rally and came out in support of “bodily sovereignty” against vaccine mandates. She did and said all of that while under contract with Marvel. Well, I guess her contract is up and she understands that she’s done irreversible harm to her career, because Evangeline is quitting the biz.

Evangeline Lilly announced on Instagram that she has stepped away from Hollywood for the foreseeable future and “might return one day.” Lilly, best known for playing Kate Austen in ABC’s drama series “Lost,” re-shared a video recorded in 2006 in which she expressed her desire to be a “retired actress” by the next decade.

“Ten years from now, where would I like to be? I am terrified to admit this to the rest of the acting world but ideally 10 years from now I’d like to be a retired actress and have a family,” Lilly said in the video. “I’d like to be writing and influencing people’s lives in humanitarian ways.”

In her caption to the video posted June 3, 2024, Lily writes: “I am so filled with joy and contentment today as I live out my vision. Praise God, I feel so grateful for my blessings. Stepping away from what seems like the obvious choice (wealth and fame) can feel scary at times, but stepping into your dharma replaces the fear with fulfillment. I might return to Hollywood one day, but, for now, this is where I belong.”

Pre-pandemic, Evangeline was known as a granola-hippie type who eschewed the fame machine of Hollywood for the most part. Like, she never really capitalized on all of the buzz she got from Lost, and that genuinely was her choice back then. This current move is not completely her choice though – Marvel was not happy that several of their stars were such idiots during the pandemic. Evangeline wasn’t a big enough star for her career to weather her own stupidity. Sidenote: I don’t think she really had the talent for career longevity either, but whatever.

Very recently, I read a story about how the majority – perhaps even a “silent majority” – of people in North America and Europe are general pro-mask mandates and vaccine mandates, and we’re all starting to become a political coalition. As in, politicians need to start listening to US rather than the “squeaky wheel” anti-mask, anti-vaxx dumbf–ks who would rather throw huge public tantrums. I think about that a lot these days, especially in regard to the asinine “trucker protest” in Ottawa over the past month. Canada has its own dumbass far-right, white-nationalist, MAGA-adjacent, anti-vaxx movement too, and that’s all the trucker protest has been. It’s asinine and it is, in my opinion, domestic terrorism. Guess who is like “hey Justin Trudeau should negotiate with terrorists?” Evangeline Lilly. And she’s a prominent anti-vaxxer too.

Ant-Man star Evangeline Lilly is urging Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau to speak with groups protesting vaccine mandates and pandemic restrictions in the country.

The actor addressed Trudeau in a video posted earlier this week to the Instagram account for Bridge City News, a Canadian news show that airs on the Miracle Channel, a Christian television network. In the video, Lilly stated: “I want to speak to you today about your current approach to and current treatment of our fellow Canadians who are protesting your federal vaccine mandates. They have asked to meet with you, prime minister, medical experts, top scientists, doctors, nurses, parents, grandparents, intelligent, loving, concerned citizens.” The actress then directly asked: “Why won’t you sit with them?”

In her video, Lilly continued: “If you’re so convinced of your own reasons for the mandates, sit down and walk the leaders of a group of 2.3 million protesters across the country who represent many millions more across the nation, and explain it to them and ask them to listen with open hearts and minds, and then reciprocate. Listen to what they have to say with a mind open to hearing things that might go against the ideas you are entrenched in.” (On Jan. 30 on social media, a false report incorrectly attributed to Ottawa police circulated that claimed 2.3 million people participated in the protests, but Reuters fact-checkers have debunked that number.)

The Marvel star then considered the idea that there could be solutions to “bring Canadians together right now” that the Trudeau administration has not entertained. “You unify people by finding solutions together, not by vilifying those who say there is a better way… What we need right now from our leadership is unification, and that requires being willing to see, recognize and hear from the people sitting out in the cold at your door.”

Call me a despot or whatever, but I think all of those people needed to be rounded up and thrown in jail. These “protests” weren’t peaceful, and the “politics” behind the protest were dumb as hell. It wasn’t an organic protest either – it was clear that various far-right militias and terrorist networks were behind some of the protesting. It would be like arguing that Nancy Pelosi should have come out of the secure bunker on January 6th and negotiated with the terrorists who stormed the Capitol. Anyway, I genuinely and truly hope that Evangeline Lilly never works again. She’s dangerously stupid.

The pandemic has been going on for so long, I totally forgot that Evangeline Lilly made a complete ass out of herself just as everyone was going into lockdown. In March 2020, Lilly said that she dropped off her kids at their gymnastics class because everything was “business as usual” even though most places (especially gyms) were going into lockdown. She also said she was immune compromised and living with her father who had Stage 4 leukemia, and even then, she didn’t feel like she had to do anything different because Covid is just a “respiratory flu.” She claimed America was about to go under martial law (she wrote “Marshall law”) and that the government was trying to steal people’s freedoms in an election year. It was truly f–king bonkers. Evangeline ended up giving a half-assed apology one week later and promised to social distance.

Well, twenty-two months later, Evangeline posted photos from the anti-vaccine rally in DC over the weekend. That was the rally in which RFJ Jr. was a speaker and he made a horrible comparison between Nazi-occupied Europe, Anne Frank living in an attic and… vaccine mandates. On her Instagram, Evangeline posted dumbf–k photos from the rally with this abhorrent statement:

I was in DC this weekend to support bodily sovereignty while Canadian truckers were rallying for their cross-country, peaceful convoy in support of the same thing.

I believe nobody should ever be forced to inject their body with anything, against their will, under threat of:


-violent attack


-arrest or detention without trial


-loss of employment


-homelessness


-starvation


-loss of education


-alienation from loved ones


-excommunication from society


…under any threat whatsoever.

This is not the way. This is not safe. This is not healthy. This is not love. I understand the world is in fear, but I don’t believe that answering fear with force will fix our problems.

I was pro choice before COVID and I am still pro choice today.

Okay, let’s go through this. One, stop f–king adopting the language of “pro-choice” to describe vaccines in a pandemic. This is not abortion. This is not about reproductive rights. This is about ensuring mass inoculations during a pandemic which has killed more than 5.83 million people in the world. Pregnancies are not airborne. You cannot “catch” an abortion. It’s not about being “pro-choice.” Two, who the f–k is being detained without trial for NOT being vaccinated? NO ONE. No one is saying “we will starve you if you do not get vaccinated.” Restaurants enforcing a vaccine mandate is not a plot to starve the populace. Grocery stores having mask mandates is not a civil liberties issue. And if you want to work, your employer actually does have the right to enforce a vaccine mandate, dipsh-t. If you’re too stupid to get a vaccine, you don’t have an inherent “right” to be employed. And I hope unvaccinated dumbasses ARE excommunicated from society. Let’s start with Evangeline Lilly. I hope I never have to see her dumb, dangerous face again.
