Kristen Bell gives birth to her and Dax Shepard’s little bundle of joy!
One of Hollywood’s cutest couples have welcomed their first child into their lives!
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard announced the exciting news on Thursday, March 28, via Twitter. Shepard tweeted, “Lincoln Bell Shepard is here,” adding, “She has mom’s beauty and dad’s obsession with breasts. Hooray!” The new mama also joked, writing, “My new roommate poops her pants and doesn’t pay rent . . . basically Dax Shepard pre-sobriety. Welcome baby Lincoln.”
Just Wednesday, Bell tweeted a photo of her dog Lola, resting her head on her still-very-pregnant bell, with the caption “Eavesdropping”, so it’s pretty safe to say she had the baby Wednesday night or Thursday morning.
The couple, who have been engaged since 2009, went public in November with the news that they were expecting. The pair has been outspoken about why they’ve chosen to wait to get married and have said they weren’t “really worried” about having children out of wedlock.
Bell, in the past, has said to The Advocate: “The reason we’re not rushing to get married is because I don’t feel appropriate taking advantage of a right that’s denied to my [gay and lesbian] friends.”
Being the jokester that she is, Bell kept her funny side alive throughout her pregnancy, even when discussing her fears of giving birth. Back in January the actress appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and joked: “I feel like, when I arrive at the hospital, I want a glass of whiskey, I want the epidural in my back and I want to get hit in the face with a baseball bat and wake me up when it’s over because I’ve seen the videos — and it looks terrifying.” Ha!
