This week, we learned that Tom Brady and Sofia Vergara are having a summer fling. There are so many celebrities vacationing in Europe right now, and apparently Tom and Sofia are spending time together in Ibiza, although it definitely sounds like Sofia is in Ibiza with a larger group of friends. Page Six made it sound like a summer fling, as did TMZ’s sources. TMZ stressed that Tom and Sofia are not “dating” and they both consider themselves single, but they’re having some fun.

Well, on the heels of TMZ and Page Six’s reporting, the Daily Mail carried this exclusive: “Tom Brady thinks Sofia Vergara is ‘too OLD’: Friends tell all the mortifying details as ‘summer romance’ collapses… and reveal the behavior he can’t handle.” I’ll spare you any excerpts from the piece. What surprised me about it was that Brady’s people immediately came out with a denial for that specific story though:

Tom Brady “would never” say that he thinks Sofia Vergara, 53, is “too old” for him, a representative for the former quarterback, 47, tells PEOPLE, in denial of a recent report.

“Tom never said, nor would he ever say, anything like this. It is pure fiction,” his rep says.

Speculation about the duo first surfaced when it was noted the two were seen getting friendly during a recent A-list outing aboard Ritz Carlton’s new superyacht, the Luminara, in early July.

Page Six reported that an insider said Brady asked if he could sit next to the Modern Family actress at dinner. Soon after that night, Vergara shared a photo of the pair to her Instagram. In the snap, she and Brady are seated next to one another, as singer J Balvin stops by and kisses the Griselda star’s forehead. In the photo, she’s laughing with her eyes closed as Brady smiles at the camera.

In Possible Hook Up News: Revolting Edition, Page Six is gleefully reporting that Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert and Sleazeball Representative Kid Rock may have bumped uglies (literally, in this case) the night of the inauguration. Well, they don’t say that outright. In fact, the outlet is very careful to say they have no evidence to support that something definitely happened; they’re just relaying the fact that Boebert hopped into a cab with Rock at 2:30 am, and then letting us filthy beasts run wild with our imaginations. And oh, what imagery that invokes. Please enjoy this hilarious blurb from Page Six:

Page Six spies spotted Kid Rock and Rep. Lauren Boebert getting into a cab together in Washington, DC, at 2:30 a.m. as the parties celebrating the beginning of Donald Trump’s second term wound down.

While our (rather tawdry!) source suggested the pair planned to, er, keep the inaugural balls swinging into the wee hours, we have no evidence to suggest that was the case.

It’s perfectly possible that the “Bawitdaba” recording artist might have been, for example, dropping the Colorado congresswoman off at her hotel.

TMZ posted a story about the pair the day after the Jan. 20 events, when Rock, 54, and Boebert, 38, were photographed chatting at one of the inaugural bashes.

“Lauren was totally transfixed by the rock star, yapping away, doing a little dance, and clapping like she was front row at his concert — basically giving Kid Rock all the hype he needed,” the site said.

Either way, they have much in common.

Both are among Trump’s most die-hard supporters, and they’re both enthusiastic gun-toters (even by rural Republican standards).

They’re also both veterans of the novelty restaurant biz.

She owned Shooters, a Colorado eatery where servers were encouraged to carry guns, and he is the proud proprietor of Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk and Rock & Roll Steakhouse in Nashville, Tenn.

Of course, Boebert’s horniness is legend.

The lady from Colorado was famously booted from a performance of the musical “Beetlejuice,” in part for an amorous auditorium encounter with her date.

Boebert filed for divorce from husband Jayson in 2023.

Rock has reportedly been engaged to Audrey Berry since 2017.

Never has a collection of nine words so effortlessly caused such damage while being assembled in an innocuous-seeming sentence. Plus it’s educational, as I, for one, did not know these two MAGAts shared that in common! Honestly, I can’t believe a Rupert Murdoch-owned publication put out such a snarky article on two Republicans, but I’ll take it. I’d also question why they’re branding the story as an “exclusive”… three weeks after TMZ first talked about it, but I’ll chalk it up to Page Six holding the (alleged) love news in time for Valentine’s Day. If anything happened, my guess is that it was a one night affair of two straight white people basking in the euphoria of their team about to dismantle the American experiment. (We already know Kid Rock was feeling amorous that day.) But should this turn out to be a romance that lasts longer than intermission, I know this is what my late father would say of the match: “It’s really considerate of them to take each other out of circulation.”

Oh how I love how Bravo stars love to gossip and talk sh-t. Teddi Mellencamp, of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, just revealed on a radio show that she had a one-nighter with Matt Damon 20 years ago, when she was just 20-years-old herself. Apparently Teddi used a fake ID to get into a club specifically to meet Matt Damon. And her plan worked because she says she went home with him.

Tamra Judge is outing some of BFF Teddi Mellencamp’s sex life secrets — including one involving Matt Damon.

The “Two Ts in a Pod” co-hosts appeared on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live” Tuesday, where Judge forced Mellencamp to open up about her one-night stand with the “Air” actor 20 years ago.

“She mentioned it on a podcast, and then went back and told producers, ‘Take that guy’s name out,’” Judge, 55, told Lewis. “And so now, I tell people, ‘If you guys wanna know, just DM and I’ll tell you who it is.’”

“She tells people on the DMs. I’m like, ‘Stop telling people,” Mellencamp, 41, joked. “I did not want to out this guy. Who knows?!”

However, Mellencamp went on to explain that she snuck into a club with a fake ID at just 20 years old to meet the hunky actor.

“He was probably 30 — ten years older,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum explained. “I only slept with him one night. He didn’t get my number.”

Although Mellencamp started off just giving hints about his identity — such as the fact his initials are MD and that he “has a very famous best friend” — a producer quickly guessed it was Damon, 52.

“I’ve already been coined a liar, I don’t need these kinds of things out and about,” she joked as Judge erupted into a fit of laughter.

Despite her one-night romance with Damon, Mellencamp went on to marry Edwin Arroyave and the pair welcomed four children.

It’s funny that Teddi tried to play coy with just the (very obvious) hints because she clearly wanted to share this. Honestly, it’s kind of a baller story, I can see why she wanted to brag about it. She snuck into the club with the aim of meeting her older celeb crush and then bedded him. She set a goal, made a plan, enacted the plan, and achieved her goal. Very resourceful. And Teddi said he didn’t get her number, well obviously. Matt was just trying to hookup. She says she’s been called a liar in the past, but whatever, I kind of believe this. People have one night stands all the time. Actors have one night stands all the time. So Matt Damon had one with a future reality star. Let’s just hope he took her to a nice hotel because it sounds like his home would not be in shape for unexpected guests.

Ben Affleck’s post-split relationship timeline is complicated. Of course he got with the nanny in 2015 either when he was separated from Jennifer Garner or when they were working on reconciling. In August 2018 he had a fling with Playboy playmate Shauna Sexton, which seemed to overlap his relationship with SNL producer Lindsay Shookus. He got back with Lindsay in February, 2019 and they split around April of that year. That summer of 2019 he met a musician named Katie Cherry on Raya. They Facetimed for a while until they met in person that fall. Katie was with Ben when he was photographed looking wasted in October, after he had announced a year of sobriety. She got a little press rollout and everything. This week’s Star, In Touch and Life and Style all have similar quotes from Katie. They’re all owned by the same company, American Media, so it’s possible she only talked to one outlet. Katie claims that Ben only had one drink the night he relapsed and that he moved fast with her. Here’s part of what she told Star.

[Ben Affleck] was surprisingly down to earth. “He’s such a homebody,” Katie tells Star. “His favorite thing to do is sit at home, watch movies and have his chef cook something. I usually don’t date industry people because they’re so full of themselves and so Hollywood,” she adds, “but Ben is the complete opposite.”

He opened up to Katie quickly about his kids and former wife and even J.Lo, 52, whom he’d been engaged to before they called it quits in 2004. “He told me her ass is phenomenal,” reports Katie. “He seemed very enthusiastic about it!”

Things moved swiftly for Ben and Katie. “He wanted something serious,” she shares, revealing he told her he loved her quite early on. “He didn’t talk about marriage, but he did say ‘I love you’ really, really fast,” she says. “And he also asked me to move in with him! I was thinking about moving back to Buffalo and he said, ‘You should just move in with me!’” Katie didn’t say “I love you too,” she admits: “I didn’t want to lie, and I didn’t really see a full on future with Ben.” (He does like to move fast: By March 2020, Ben, who had recently told GMA he wanted a “healthy, stable, loving, committed relationship,” was dating his Deep Water costar Ana de Armas. The couple moved in together that December and split in January 2021.)

Katie and Ben spent most of their time together cozying up at his Pacific Palisades home. “I’m into film scoring so he was always trying to introduce me to his friends in the business, but for the most part we would eat really good food and watch really good movies. He cracks jokes every other minute so you can’t even watch the movie but it was hilarious,” she recalls. Once, he set up a romantic evening for her in his backyard: “It was really nice out so his chef did a candlelit dinner.”

Katie was also there for one of Ben’s lowest points. In October 2019, the rehab vet was photographed looking inebriated at a Halloween party a few months after celebrating one year of sobriety. “My friend asked us to this masquerade party, Billie Eilish was singing there and Ben had one drink,” she recalls, adding. “He had a vodka cranberry and it was almost clear. I’m pretty sure the bartender was like, ‘Oh, it’s Ben Affleck, I’m going to make it really strong,’ and it hit him really fast.” Katie says she asked Ben if he was sure he wanted to partake: “He said ‘Yeah, I’ll just have one.’”

When the story broke the next day, Katie says Ben’s main concern was his kids. “After the slip, the first thing he said was, ‘I’ve got to make sure my kids are OK,’” she remembers. “He wasn’t worried about himself. I felt bad for him.” The actor went straight to Jen’s house to see his children and stayed over for a couple of nights. “I can guarantee Jen was angry, I heard about it from Ben,” says Katie, “but she seems very gracious and level-headed and it seems like she does really care about him.”

Indeed, Katie remembers Jen constantly checking in with her ex. “He said generally that she was a really good mom and he was lucky to have her as their mom,” dishes Katie. “I did notice that she did call him quite a bit,” she adds, “but it seems like they just really love their kids and want to do their best to keep a good relationship for that reason.”

That sounds really nice to crack jokes, watch movies and eat nice food. That’s like my ideal relationship apart from the fact that it’s Ben. It’s kind of gross that Ben was bragging to Katie about how J.Lo has a phenomenal ass. That seems just like something he would do. As for Jennifer Garner calling Ben a lot, their kids are in activities and I’m sure they have to keep in touch to coordinate schedules. It also doesn’t surprise me to learn that Ben said “I love you” fast and told Katie she should move in with him. Narcissists love bomb and future fake. Katie went on to tell Star that Ben seems like a great match with J.Lo as they’re both family oriented and love their kids. I hope Katie got some cash for the holidays out of this. Also she was smart to keep Ben at arm’s length.

Kate Hudson was seen leaving the Met Gala in May with Diplo (above), whom you might remember as Katy Perry’s ex and the guy who saw through Taylor Swift’s BS before it was as transparent as it is now. (After reviewing some stories about his beef with Taylor, he seems rather prescient about her.) Kaiser reminds me that Diplo is also a highly successful producer and DJ and that she would still hate bang him. So would Kate Hudson, apparently, because these two are said to have hooked up some time last week in Ibiza.

Kate Hudson has found her boy of summer: Diplo. “They are dating,” a source reveals a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.

The actress and the DJ, both 37, who exited NYC’s Met Gala together in May, connected in mid-July near Ibiza, Spain, the insider says. She was vacationing with girlfriends; he had a day off after playing nearby at club Pacha. (His rep denies the romance.)

She documented her travels and raved about her trip via Instagram. “What a blast,” the Marshall star posted July 18. “Til next time, Ibiza!”

Before the getaway, she reunited with her ex fiancé, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, to celebrate their son Bingham’s fifth birthday by jetting to London July 9 to see the new Harry Potter play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. (The Glee alum also shares 12-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband, Chris Robinson.)

Good for her. It looks like a casual hookup and that seems like the type of relationship Kate prefers. Also she like musicians, her last thing was with Nick Jonas and of course she has son Bing with Muse’s Matt Bellamy and was married to The Black Crowes’s Chris Robinson. (To my friend J who insisted last week that DJs/producers are not musicians, you are WRONG. I didn’t tell you to your face but I will do so in this passive aggressive way now.) I would kind of love it if Kate and Diplo became a power couple and started a PR feud with Taylor and Tom. That’s not going to happen, but it would be like Gossip Christmas and Gossip New Year’s put together.

Also, do you remember how Cher tweeted earlier this week that Kate Hudson’s clothing subscription service, Fabletics, seemed like a scam? Well Life & Style has a new story about how Kate is mad at her mom, Goldie Hawn, for buying clothing from a competitor. They quote a source who says that Goldie “recently went into Exhale, a spa in NYC, and bought loads of great Victoria Keen yoga pants and spawear.” Kate was said to be “furious… [she] obviously wants her mom to be wearing her Fabletics line.” Goldie has Instagrammed photos where she’s wearing Fabletics but she said Kate sent them to her. It’s not like Goldie is going to pay $50 a month to get sent clothing someone else picks for her, she wants to go in and buy it herself.

Benji Madden: Cameron Diaz is ‘a modern day feminist’ who shares positivity

Benji Madden has a new extensive interview in Newsweek for the 20th anniversary of his band, Good Charlotte (with his twin brother, Joel). Good Charlotte returned from a multi-year hiatus to release a new album last week. I’m not too familiar with Benji and apart from the fact that he seems to be genuinely in love with and supportive of his wife, Cameron Diaz, I don’t have a strong opinion about him. A quick glance at our archives reminds me that he’s dated several famous women including Paris Hilton and Holly Madison and apart from hearing about his other occasional hookups, I haven’t heard a bad word about him in the 10 years I’ve run this site. No scandals, no paparazzi beat-downs, no DUIs. That’s really saying something. So he seems like a serial monogamist and a standup guy. He’s also very supportive of Cameron, and they’ve each gushed about each other on their social media and to the press. That’s all background to this interview, which just impressed me with how wise and thoughtful he sounds. I mean I don’t agree with him about Cameron Diaz, but he comes across extremely well.

On how the music industry can be hard on artists
My brother and I feel blessed to have survived and still have loving, connected relationships with each other, with our wives, with our family. We feel like: “Hey, there are a lot of artists who might be able to use our experiences.” We’ve been able to withstand a lot of things in the industry because we had each other. We feel protective of other artists.

This is not a business that is set up in favor of artists. It’s important for artists to value themselves—whatever that means. Everyone’s going to take that in a different way. If you don’t value yourself, you will be bought and sold.

On the public’s obsession with celebrity
I think it’s a very unhealthy trend that will eventually be broken when people realize how hollow it is for our minds, it’s very cancerous…it’s like fast food. Fast food companies are trending down, lots of places are going out of business. People figured out: “This is killing us, it’s f-king terrible.” The celebrity obsession is doing the same thing for our minds—it’s very hollow and I think that trend is going to break soon enough.

On how Cameron uses her platform for good
I’m extremely proud of what she uses her platform for. She just released The Longevity Book, and before that she had The Body Book [a lifestyle guide to diet and health], and she spent thousands of dollars doing all the research, to get information to share with women who don’t necessarily have the resources to get that information. She’s a modern day feminist—she wants to change the conversation that’s being had about women and ageing. With The Body Book, she wanted to share all this information she has gathered over the years with women so they can live happy, pain-free lives.

I’m proud of her because of what a light she is in a world where it would be so much easier to use that stage to promote products. But she’s using that platform she has to share positivity. It’s been one of the most inspirational things in my life watching a woman be so courageous…she’s got so much integrity. I’m a lucky guy that I get to experience that.

Zendaya on the election: ‘It’s disappointing, sad, and scary. You have to vote.’

Zendaya covers the Jusly issue of Cosmopolitan looking like she’s trying to fix her shoe while showing off her incredible legs. I remember marveling at how she towered over Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet at the Grammys and it turns out she’s 5’10″ tall, which is not surprising. She’s got to be over 6′ in heels. The people at Cosmo sent us some advance quotes and while I would be surprised to hear them from most other 19 year-old starlets (see: Chloe Grace Moretz), it’s typical of Zendaya to sound wise beyond her years. She emphasized that young people who are scared to see the direction of this year’s election need to actually go out and vote instead of just tweet about it. That may sound like a no-brainer, but it’s true. She also detailed an incident in which a former publicist was racially insensitive, so she sacked her. (I love that term! I never get to use that, it’s so British.)

On the election and voting: “There’s really crazy stuff happening right now, and it’s disappointing, sad, and scary. My generation, we really have to step up to the plate and vote. Tweeting is great — people say, ‘Oh, I don’t want this or that’ — but at the end of the day, tweeting isn’t a ballot. Just saying that you don’t like someone on Twitter is not going to turn a state blue or red. You have to vote.”

On her return to Disney as the star and co-producer of K.C. Undercover: “The only way I was going to come back to the Disney Channel was if I was in a position of more power. One thing that is really important to me is diversity on the channel. It’s hard as a young person of a different ethnicity or background to look at the TV and not see anyone who looks like you. Representation is very important.”

On a situation on set with someone being racially insensitive: “I didn’t like my hair and makeup one time on a photo shoot, and my publicist told me, ‘You should just be happy with it — they haven’t had a black girl on the cover since forever.’ She’s no longer my publicist.”

On being in love versus casual hookups: “Me, personally? I would much rather be in love and have the full experience with the person I’m doing that with. Everyone deserves to be in love — it’s different from when you’re with someone you don’t really know. But as long as you protect yourself and get tested periodically, then by all means, go ahead and do what you’ve got to do!”

I like how she was diplomatic about her own dating preferences vs. people who like casual sex. She doesn’t sound judgy. I mean she gets her dad to chaperone dates, which seems a little excessive at 19 but maybe that’s her choice too. Given how self-possessed she is, it seems likely that she would have a say in that.

Also, is she dissing the Disney channel or just television in general for not being more representative of society? I would say she’s talking about TV as a whole, because the Disney channel seems like it’s somewhat diverse already. I bet Zendaya has helped make changes there.
